Summary: Good Books are Hard to Find
Review: After reading "Chicken Soup for the Christian Family Soul" I decided to buy this book. It is such a wonderful book. Now I know that their are always happy times to be had with your child and that no matter what anybody tells you, you are the most important person in your child's life! This book will make you laugh, cry, and probably want to share all the stories to people around you. This book tells great stories you will want to read over and over again! (After having this book for one day, my 14 month old daughter decided mommy liked this book so much, that she wanted to get her sticky little fingers all over it! I even read the stories to her and she listens =))

Summary: A celebration of parenthood
Review: I am the parent of a fifteen year old boy. I love him dearly and he has been an ideal child. But he is fifteen and I am having to deal with the inevitable process of growing apart. My little boy is becoming a man. I am very proud of his sweet nature but lately I have seen it hurt him or cause others to take advantage and it is heart wrenching. I was in one of those sad places that only parents can understand...where one wonders" did i do something wrong. Has my own co-dependant nature spread to him?" The answer is yes but also the acknowledgement that he will have to make mistakes, suffer and thereby grow. ouch!!! Anyway , it was at this moment that I picked up the book and began to read. It was like a soothing warm water began to wash over my aching heart. The stories were so beautiful that I began to beleive in the miracle of parenting including the mistakes and the worries. I started feeling like they were all part of a recipe that made the most incredible love we as humans will ever know. After reading the stories I felt grateful and humbled. I could feel the love and attention that the four authors put into their choices. I recommend this book to everyone. parents, children , grandparents. It is a celebration of this amazing thing called life and the fact that a book can make you realize all of this in such a short time is a small miracle in itself. It is the comfort youv'e been looking for and all for about 10 dollars..

Summary: The best gift for parents
Review: I have spent the last 10 Christmas's trying to figure out what to give my parents. They have the things they need and most of what they want. They alwyas say , please ,spend your money on the children but that doesnt make me feel good. I want to give them something that acknowledges their dedication, love, support and all the things they have given me over the years. Well, I found it. In this book is every story about parenting you could want and more. The authors did an amazing job of giving us assorted situations and emotions so that reading the book is like a trec through all the feelings that come with being and loving a child and children and also that come with being and loving a parent and being one. It covers all angles and therefore is truly as they say...a celebration of parenthood. If you are looking for a gift that says thank you and I love you/ this is it.

Summary: Chicken soup for the parents soul
Review: I purchased this book at my 7 year old daughters book fair at school. I wasn't sure that I even could read it beacause I've never really liked any books axcept non-fiction mystery kind of things. But I bought it anyway thinking it would give me something to do. Once I started to read it a few days later, I could'nt put it down. The first story made me cry. By the end of the first night, I was halfway through the book. I finished it less than a week later at 1 in the morning. I think it has given me a better appreciation for my own daughter and the situation we are in. I look at being a parent in a different way. Sure, I have always had this overwelming sense of joy and love for her. But now I don't take everyday for granted!

Summary: Worth Waiting For
Review: I wanted to let everyone know that Chicken Soup for the Parents Soul is coming out in the early fall. The reason for the misunderstanding (posted above release March) is that it wasn't quite up to par at the time it was due for release and we are sincerely committed to making each book as good as we possibly can. We have achieved this goal with the Parents book and it is now at our publishers getting ready for release. This is a lovely book that celebrates parenthood and honors each and every person who ever had a child or for that matter , a parent.

Summary: Good Books are Hard to Find
Review: This book is filled with delightful, touching stories that will melt your heart and make you remember your childhood. Very similar to the book, Forget Me Knots from the Front Porch, this book will take you home and be a great gift for that certain someone you didn't know what to buy for.

Summary: What do you want? More Irony & Sarcasm or Good Stories?
Review: This is a book of really tender, touching and well-chosen stories that simply touched my heart and often tickled my funnybone. There are folks out there who simply don't get it. If it doesn't have sex, violence, or negativity; if it's missing nastiness, failure, unhappiness, being unfulfilled and alienated, it can't be "Literature". Well, let them browse in a different section.
This is a CHICKEN SOUP book, for God's sake. It has true stories. They spend a lot of time and energy finding really good ones, stories where people contend with life's difficulties and attempt to make sense of them. And they offer inspiration and hope to countless people. I read recently that there are over 84 million in print, in 51 languages around the world. So the nay-sayers can just buzz off. I LOVED this book!
