Summary: What a load.
Review: "Goddess Traditions" as the author describes did not exist more than perhaps 80 years ago. Everyone should be free to be a sucker, but I suggest you give a little more thought to your beliefs.

Summary: Circle Round Raising Children in the Goddess Traditions
Review: A great guide to including children in the Wiccan religion and our rituals. Includes stories, songs and crafts to accompany the rituals. This book was very valuable in getting my toddler involved and teaching her about Wicca in a fun and interesting way. Book seems to include alot of information from the Faiery Wicca perspective.

Summary: EXCELENT
Review: A must have if your interested in sharing Pagan beliefs with children. Loaded with stories, crafts and fun. teaching children how to respect the earth and life around them. My daughters are teenagers now and have the knowledge to defend the rumors of Paganism and witchcraft. They also have the strength to look at religion as a whole in a healthy light. It is fun to share something special with your children and with this book you can truly give to them many hours of fun and learning. This book has it all....

Summary: a goddess-send for busy pagan parents
Review: I have been looking for this book for years and I am grateful that Starhawk and her friends finally published it. I have been unable to locate any other source for child-friendly ideas to make pagan celebrations meaningful. This book focuses on foods, activities and stories to convey to children the wonder of natural cycles without preaching dogma, pagan or otherwise. I am not by nature effusive or sentimental, but I am writing this book six days after I received it, and I know I will be turning to it for inspiration when (and if) my seven-year-old daughter has children. For parents who follow a pagan path, but believe religion is a personal choice, this book is ideal. It provides countless ideas for sharing the joys of the seasons and their mythic significance without preaching. I cannot recommend this book too highly.

Summary: Fun Spiritual Education
Review: I like this book. The organization is wonderful, and the suggestions are thoughtful and well laid-out. Ideas are presented with stories from myth to illustrate ideas for each holiday, with crafts, activities and recipes. There's music, too!

The activities are not limited to a certain age group, but from toddlers to adolescents. What a great way to introduce Goddesses to little ones! My only criticism is that Gods are largely absent. That's where a parent would have to add their own creativity to fill in that half of the story. In spite of that lack, I still recommend this book for any parent looking to begin or supplement their child's spiritual education.

There's no bibliography, but an extensive index, and chapter notes. The resource section is pretty thin, but that could be more due to the lack of this sort of information for parents than lack of effort on the part of the authors.
