Rating: Summary: Great book Review: As a father of a 2 1/2 year old I really enjoyed this book. I had the opportunity to meet the author and have him sign it too AManda and Mark. It is a book that I will keep and share with my daughter when she is old enough to appreciate it.
Rating: Summary: This book made a difference! Review: As the single mother of two small daughters, I've struggled through the years to keep their father active in their lives. I wanted my daughers to have a much deeper relationship with their father than simply the receipt of a child support check each month. I knew how much they would be missing if their father continued to be out of their lives for extended periods. My mother spotted this book while shopping and glanced through it. She thought that it would really be beneficial for me to present it to my daughters' Dad. We gave it it to him as a birthday gift in January. He was visibly touched the first time he read the book and he has since begun to play a much more active role as a parent. Mr. Lang's reasons really resonated with him as he began to see the positive effect he could have in the lives of his daughters.
Rating: Summary: Daughters need daddies... Review: Every daughter born on the face of this earth needs a father or father-figure of some type. Grown women are no exception. I have no daughters (yet!), but am very much looking forward to it. My personal research into the father-daughter relationship has led to my growing collection of books on this subject, as it is one that I am intensely fascinated by (actually, I could probably listen to females talk about their fathers for hours on end). This and other books like it are highly recommendable.
Rating: Summary: My dad loved this book! Review: Gave it to him for Christmas, and he talked about it for 2 months afterward. It is a great gift book, for a new father or an experienced one!
Rating: Summary: great gift book Review: I am a grown daughter with a father who is very hard to shop for. When I saw this book I knew I had found something that would express how I feel about my dad as a father figure and main male influence in my life. Since my father also has a mild case of dyslexia, I usually steer clear of books as gifts because they generally just frustrate him. However, this book, with its many beautiful photographs and short "tidbits" of text, proved to be just right for even the most hard to shop for father. This is a great "advice" book for new fathers and "thank you" book for those well-seasoned Dads.
Rating: Summary: I was ambushed!!! Review: I am the father of two precious little girls. So, my wife, desiring to turn me into an emotional tub of goo, bought me this book and added some personal comments inside that were very appropriate. This book is not a deep read. This book will touch deep within a father's soul reminding you of what is really important if you have a daughter. Since I have two daughters I was a double tub of goo. Leave it to my wife, ambushing me with reading material after a long hard day at work by leaving this book on my bedside table. Best ambush I ever had!

Rating: Summary: Every Daughter should share this with her Dad Review: I was 11 when my father died, but the 11 years I had with him shaped every day of the 15 years that have followed. He was an inspiration, guide, comfort, example, hero, and friend. This book captures the undeniably unique realtionship a father shares with his daughter in exquisite photographs and touching text. Every daughter should share this with her father.
