Summary: Great Book!
Review: A great book. Josh Harris is an excellent writer. Full of great stories, his own, and others, Josh Harris weaves into the pages a word that needs to be heard. A sequel to his first, best seller, "I Kissed Dating Goodbye", "Boy Meets Girl" finishes the story. Dealing with the subjects of purity, engagement, and marriage this book will truly help you. I hope that this book will change your life. Enjoy!

Summary: A Second Try
Review: Oops, I did it again. I wrote another book on relationship. Actually, I just finished writing my second book entitled "Boy Meets Girl". If you haven't guessed, it's a follow-up to "I Kissed Dating Goodbye." This book looks at how Christians can glorify God as they pursue marriage.

If you're one of the folks who read and wrote a review my last book here on Amazon (good or bad), I'm really honored you would take the time to read it and share your thoughts. I hope you enjoy this new book. And to all the people who hated my last book, I hope you hate "Boy Meets Girl" a little less. (smile)

It seems like it's taken forever to write. Whew! It's been an entire year and I blew two deadlines. But the end result is something I am very excited about. By God's grace I think it's a stronger book than the last one.

Let me share a "preview" of some of my favorite chapters:

2. WHY DATING VERSUS COURTSHIP ISN'T THE POINT - Getting past a debate over terms and back to what really matters

3. ROMANCE & WISDOM: A MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN - How to keep your relationship patient, purposeful and rooted in reality

5. MORE THAN FRIENDS, LESS THAN LOVERS - How to grow and guard in friendship, fellowship and romance

8. TRUE LOVE DOESN'T JUST WAIT - How to be sexually pure when you're passionately in love

There are a total of twelve chapters in the book. While I share a little of my own story of how I met and married my bride Shannon, the book is much more than merely our experience. I think the best part of the book is the fact that it tells the stories of many different couples. There are a few stories in here that are simply amazing. I was so blessed to get to interview different people and share their stories.

Anyway, the book will be out in October. I hope you enjoy it and I look forward to seeing your reviews. My biggest prayer is that regardless of what you think of the book, you'll be more amazed at the awesomeness of the God who made human love possible. What a Creator! What a Savior! The goodness of romantic love between a man and woman should lead us to worship and adore Him more.

God bless! Joshua

P.S. I've posted my email address and I'd love to hear from you, but I also need to say I can't always write back. Thanks for understanding.

Summary: Excellent
Review: "Boy Meets Girl" is a perfect follow-on to "I Kissed Dating Goodbye". It balances the points put forward in Harris's first book perfectly.

"Boy Meets Girl" is Biblically sound and contains practical and Godly advice on relationships - from friendships - to courtship - marriage. It promotes Commitment, not just feelings within a relationship.

Every chapter brings forth excitement and romance as you read through stories of people that have placed their trust in God alone. This book shows you the good and the bad in relationships and how to navigate through the world of courtship. Every chapter is grounded in Biblical fact and practical advice.

A MUST read for anyone from early teens to single adults. Whether you are engaged, dating, or still single - this book guides you through the ups and downs of life's most precious gift - Love.

Summary: Much clearer than his first book!
Review: I read Josh's first book, "I Kissed Dating Goodbye," and tossed it. At age 30-something, the idea of mass dating in groups sounded like a waste of time. I saw the great possibilities of his ideas for high schoolers, but for those of us past the stage of learning how to relate to the opposite sex as brothers and sisters in Christ, we needed a game plan for how to move to the next level. Josh Harris provides that in "Boy Meets Girl." This is a blueprint to follow as you begin to seriously look for a lifemate. The only criticism I have is that I wish that his wife, Shannon, had told more of her side of the story. At the beginning, we hear about her in tears over her confusion about the relationship, but we never hear how she dealt with it. I'm hoping she'll write her own book soon. Still, BMG is an EXCELLENT handbook for Christians trying to navigate the murky waters of singleness!

Summary: Excellent book
Review: If you want to buy either "I Kissed Dating Goodbye" or "Boy Meets Girl", definitely go with this one. It gives both a male and female perspective (since his wife Shannon is now in the picture) and includes some really insightful and helpful stuff. Also, for your own reading personally, I would highly recommend "Not Even a Hint" by Josh Harris. And throw in "I Kissed Dating Goodbye" to get your free shipping... ;)

Summary: This is a fantastic book!
Review: "Boy Meets Girl" is the perfect finish to "IKDG". "IKDG" focused on having a heart for God's will and a heart to serve others, and this book emphasizes that even more. Josh shows us again that it's not about "rules" or legalism, it's about honoring God and putting the other person first. I loved every chapter, and I really liked the way Joshua and Shannon clarified that it isn't about the terms (dating or courtship) as much as the heart. This book answered a lot of questions I had, and it was very encouraging to read some true stories of people who waited for God's best!

Summary: best book for christian dating
Review: This is the best book I have ever read in regards to Christian dating. He has solid convictions, like all Christians strive for. He set an example in his own dating relationship and gave practicals on how to have a pure relationship.

Summary: Not for people older than 14
Review: I am a university student, age 20, and I read this book recently with my girlfriend. The author had some wonderful ideas and topics, yet, I felt like I was in Junior High again. If I was in 7th or 8th grade and I got this book, I think I would have really liked it. Yet at present it felt like he was talking down to me.

A lot of the ideas I already knew and unfortinually I was on the next to last chapter before I made notes of anything in the book (and yes, I like to make notes when I see things that stand out to me or are things I should remember).

I can see this man as being a wonderful Junior High Youth Pastor and God will definately bless that. But if you are older than that age I would recommend getting something else.

Summary: Abolutely Ridiculous
Review: I can't believe this book has gained the popularity it has. Who ever heard of someone getting "frisky" just by lying in a hammock?!?!? That is your first warning that this guy has some major issues. Well, at least he is enjoying all the royalties from the sale of this ridiculous book. I'm sure God is pleased about that.
