Summary: Explore Your Dreams
Review: This is a book about catching dreams. It is an easy-to-read and fascinating guide to all those who want to know more about themselves and their night visions. It takes nothing for granted, starting with the most basic advice but then taking the student dreamer to very advanced work (dreaming of the departed, for example, and shamanic dreaming). What makes it a fun read are all the examples, delightful stories that illustrate the different dream types. More importantly, however, is the substance within the book. Beginning with nine keys to dreaming (a help to those who are just starting to record their dreams), it explains basic etiquette for dream sharing, how to recognize precognitive dreams, working with dream guides, and even how to use dreams for healing. It is a book you can keep and work with over and over, no matter how experienced you become with the dreaming. I recommend it highly.

Summary: Highly recommend this valuable resource!
Review: To read Conscious Dreaming with an open, attentive mind is to take the first step on the path to self-discovery through dreamwork. The other nine steps are vividly described by Robert Moss within the book itself. Extensively researched and full of illuminating examples, one is inspired to try all of the various methods and fun exercises presented so clearly.

The book's tone is accessible and supportive, as the author takes us from the rudiments of dream gathering and journaling to the proper etiquette of sharing dreams with others. He explains that the use of shamanic drumming to harness our brain's theta waves helps us succeed at active dreaming techniques, such as re-entry, journeying and changing the outcomes of dreams. (note: for those who dream, but don't drum, a drumming CD by Robert Moss is now available for purchase.) We travel and meet our higher selves and spiritual guides with whom we can interact. Our dreams routinely include the departed. Robert Moss is clear and precise when he warns of psychic intrusions and how to defend ourselves. This book obviously goes the entire distance to help prepare the reader for the myriad possibilities of the dreamscape.

And what can one learn? Practically anything! Health issues, soul loss, future selves, ancestor influences, creative thinking, global visioning, romance--the list goes on. Probably the final step to honor this process would be to bring gifts of healing and hope to the world community, as we each reclaim our soul's purpose. The goal is no less than that.
