Rating: Summary: "A Ship Possessed" is a good read on a dark, stormy night. Review: This is my first book by Alton Gansky but it will not be my last! "A Ship Possessed" is a good mystery of how a WWII Gato submarine could turn up on a California beach 50 years after disappearing but not showing any signs of age. Gansky creates and fleshes out his characters to where they are believable as people while weaving in a credible story of angels and demons. From the first page to the last, this is a good book to read!
Rating: Summary: Highly suspenseful, but Christian fiction? Review: This is my second Gansky book, the first being the Prodigy. I have to admit that the story is thought-provoking and moves quickly. It is great on suspense as you read how "evil" can manipulate people and objects. My only real problem with the book is that it is classified as Christian fiction, but the "good" spiritual realm doesn't enter the book until about page 200! I found the book spooky, but then I also don't like spooky books at all. In the end, having Christ dwell within is what saves the good guys (and gals) in the book, but I was disappointed that it took so long to get to that fact. Far too much evil for my personal tastes.

Rating: Summary: Gripping, powerful! Review: This was great! Alton Gansky is right up there with the greats, Ted Dekker, Frank Peretti, and so on. What made this a plus book for me was, I love submarine stuff! Right on, brother! Join retired Naval Captain, J.D. Stanton as he is called to investigate what looks to be a ghost ship. And it is a WWII sub at that! I like the demeanor of Stanton throughout the entire book. He's cool, calm under pressure, and collected. And he is most certainly a leader. On the other side of things is a German with his own agenda who believes in neo-nazism. This book is about a quest for power and a test of one's faith. Lt. Donna Wilcox plays a very important role in this work by Gansky, and you can tell he puts his heart and soul into his stuff. On a closing note, I loved the verse that really hit home, it is an oldie, but goodie. "Greater is He that is in me, that him that is in the world!" AMEN! I can't wait to read more by Alton Gansky!! Atta-boy!
Rating: Summary: Spooky! Review: What happens when a WWII submarine shows up on the California shoreline 50 years after it's due? Batten your hatches and pull down your periscope. You're in for a journey deep into the waters of adventure! Definitely recommended for those readers who enjoy suspense and a premise you don't find every day!
Rating: Summary: Awesome!! Review: When I heard about this book, I knew I had to read it. It has all the adventure of a secular novel of it's kind with the creepy, unexplained occurences, and a few deaths. The parallel stories of what happened in 1940's and the present day people are well done and kept my interest. Some the ideas and theories brought up were new to me and I found them intreaguing. I will definitely keep up with this author and recommend that everyone check this out!!
Rating: Summary: Wow!!!! Review: When I saw the book, I thought it would be something to fill the gap until I found something I really wanted to read. Now, I can't wait to get more of Alton Gansky's books!
