Summary: Don't Read This Alone
Review: I started this book at midnight and finished it at 2:30 AM. "A Ship Possessed" is gripping and the most frightening book I have read. (more so than the Left Behind Books) So scary that all the lights came on with me when I went downstairs. The plot was great and detailed. The first thing I did after reading the book was grab my Bible and read some more. Can't wait to read the other book. "Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world"

Summary: Creepy!
Review: The first third of this book is *really* spooky. Mr. Gansky is a competent writer and handles the characters well. I appreciated how he kept the preaching to a minimum and within the context of the story. I just didn't buy the secondary plot with the hijackers. Otherwise, very entertaining!

Summary: Unrealistic
Review: The story was good and plot gripping. But one thing I thought was unrealistic about "A Ship Possessed" was the fact that Stanton was able to fight off what was possessing the ship although he was admitted to not going to church often and only a few times we heard that he believed in God. It's hard to ignore that he wasn't a strong Christian but was able to fight off all these evil spirits. The book would have been much better if Stanton had a better relationship with Jesus.

Review: This book is both riveting and spooky. I love good mystery books and now this is one of my favorite. It's nice to find a great Christian mystery novel with a exciting story line. If you haven't read this book yet and your looking for a Christian Mystery, I definately will suggest this one. This is the kind of book that once you have started to read it, you can't set it down. I purchased this book from my Christian school book fair. Personally, I can't wait to read the next book in the series titled,"Vanished". Hope u enjoy this book as much as I did. Review: This book truly was well done. The parallel story of the submarine's excapades in 1943 were interwoven beautifully into the modern day discovery of the sub. It took a long time for them to actually enter the sub after its discovery 60 years later, but the suspense did build and no part of the story was boring. All in all, this was a thoroughly enjoyable read. When I'm left with the feeling that it ended too soon, I know I've finished a book that I enjoyed very much.

Summary: A Ship Possessed
Review: This book will keep you on the edge of your chair until you have finished it. You will not put it down until you have read the last page. From the first appearance of the sub to the opening of the hatch you hold your breath. Then the scary part begins. I can not keep this in our bookstore. I have a list of people waiting for me to restock.

Summary: "A Ship Possessed" is a good read on a dark, stormy night.
Review: This is my first book by Alton Gansky but it will not be my last! "A Ship Possessed" is a good mystery of how a WWII Gato submarine could turn up on a California beach 50 years after disappearing but not showing any signs of age. Gansky creates and fleshes out his characters to where they are believable as people while weaving in a credible story of angels and demons. From the first page to the last, this is a good book to read!
