Summary: Awesome book
Review: A really touching story that is told very eloquently. I loved it and it only confirmed my belief in the ways that humans abuse our earth.

Summary: The Last Boy - A Thought Provoking Book
Review: After reading and thinking about this book, it seems to be two stories in one. I picked it up not knowing what to expect, and read it in just a couple of sittings. It truly is a page turner, and not at all what I expected. I enjoyed it a lot - my only criticism is that the end is just a little too pat.
However, I recommend it highly, and am looking forward to more reviews of it!

Summary: Poorly written and trite.
Review: I didn't find any of the characters particularly likeable. Molly was a cold, distant mother who "got it" one minute and didn't the next. Danny was completely unbelievable. Maybe he could've been an 8 or 9 year old, but a 4 year old? Trip's character was superficial. I think the author tried to make him deeper, but he never really got any deeper than a few details about a previous marriage. The story dragged on and on and on, except at the end when it was abruptly wrapped up in less than 2 pages. This was not really a "thinking person's" book. I had expected it to have some literary value, but found that it should've been packaged and marketed as a mass paperback that could be found at the checkout counter of the supermarket. Very disappointing.

Summary: The Last Boy
Review: I found this book to be wonderfully written. It held my attetion through to the end. Being from around the area where this book is written was wonderful. You could see things taking place right through to the end. It was a complete page turner and I raced to finish it and would highly recomand it to anyone. The friends and family that borrowed it had the same experince that I did. So buy it and get a good cup of something and settle in for a book you can't put down.

Summary: Outstanding
Review: I loved this book. I have little to no appreciation for the mystical but was captivated by the characters and plot. Disregard the other reviews. This book was wonderful. If you like well-written, original, unique books, this is for you. I read it in 3 days and in the months since completing it, I still think about the characters and the references to nature.

Summary: Perhaps you'll find the meaning of life in this book!
Review: I started reading page one at 5pm and just finished page 502 at 12:30, that's how good it was. The Last Boy by Robert H Lieberman is an incredible read.

Without giving the plot away (basically all this is on the jacket) a 4 year old boy disappears. His mother searches frantically and forms an alliance with a local cop. Seven months go by, then all the sudden he just comes walking back home. But he is completely changed, matured beyond his years, and has a message for the world. His whereabouts and what he did for the last 7 months are a complete mystery.

Anything else would give away the plot, but let me tell you, it is an incredible book. The answer to the meaning of life is suggested. Don't go by the back of the book, it's not really apocalyptic and ancient texts do not play as major a part as they claim.

It doesn't fit into any all inclusive genre, there are elements of suspense, mystery, science fiction, romance, and spirituality (not religious, just an overall spiritualness to it that can be embraced by any religion). It's just an excellent, thought provoking read.

Summary: weird
Review: I thought this was the weirdest book I have read. Actually the only good part was the police procedural stuff in the beginning...at least that was believable. I do not recommend this book...although the characters were developed okay, it just doesn't ring believable or even fascinating.

Summary: This book stinks
Review: I was blown away by how much this book sucks. It really is amazing that it got published at all.
