Rating: Summary: Wow! That's how you will feel after reading this one. Review: I ordered the Beverly Lewis books, The Shunning, and The Confession, through Avon just to have something to read in my spare time. Once I started reading I couldn't stop. The Confession was truly touching and I can't wait to find The Reckoning so I can see how things turn out for Katie.
Rating: Summary: EXCELLENT SERIES Review: I read the whole series. The story was so realistic and interesting. I read the last book slow because I didn't want it to end. Ican't wait for Beverly Lewis's next book. She writes so well. Just enough details to make it interesting.
Rating: Summary: great book , but.... Review: I read this book several years ago, but it still comes to mind quite often. I read the entire Lancaster Series by B. Lewis, and was amazed by the insites into the world of the Amish. This book takes the main character away from the Plain folk and brings them to the world of her worldly, wealthy birth mother. It shows the decisions that she must make to determine where God is leading her. I recommended this series to my sister-in-law. And she indicated that though this was not the type of book she reads, she actually loved the series.

Rating: Summary: This was a really great book and a great series! Review: I really loved this book. When I read the first of the series I couldn't wait to get my hands on the second book! It was fun, informative, and very well written! If you enjoy a fast paced read, then I would definatly recommend this book and the whole series!! You will definatly enjoy it!
Rating: Summary: Heart-warming Review: I truly enjoyed this book and the first book in the Heritage of Lancaster County series. Lewis makes the community come alive for the reader. I felt as if I were a member of the community attending church meetings and baking bread. I can't wait to read The Reckoning.
Rating: Summary: great series!! Review: I was very pleased to find a sequel to the first book. This book didn't let me down. A definite keeper!
Rating: Summary: Simply stated, I couldn't put this book down. Review: It is a wonderful story, with well developed characters and gripping story line. The plot twists had me racing to find out what happens to Katherine and Dan, as well as the other characters. As soon as I finished reading it, I went to my computer to order Book 3. This CAN'T be the end! Will she find Dan? What about Rebecca? Please Ms. Lewis...WHERE IS BOOK 3?
Rating: Summary: Glad to return to Lancaster County! Review: It was good to visit all the old friends again - young Katie (now Katherine) just discovering her wings; dear broken-hearted mam, Rebecca; the old Wise Woman; dear cousin Lydia Miller; loyal friend, Mary; and many more. Once again, Beverly Lewis has outdone herself! I expected the book to be great - it's fantastic! She masterfully portrayed each setting in such a way as to allow me to live the story vicariously through many different characters. She also inserted an element of breathless anxiety when the story took an unexpected turn. When I finished the book, I was pleased to think that there HAS TO BE a book #3 - how can we wait for it?
Rating: Summary: "The Confession" held me captive from first line to last. Review: Mrs. Lewis story about "Amish" raised Katherine brought to mind the reality of confusion that many people, Amish, Baptist or whatever, may have with believing in every doctrine, rule or way they have been taught from birth. Through this wonderful book, she so brilliantly conveys the importance of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and the freedom that comes with that relationship. I, too, am sitting on the edge of my chair, waiting for the continued story of Katherine's new life, as mistress of Mayfield; young, vulnerable woman needing acceptance and love and daughter of two mothers, one a brief memory and the other feeling forlorn and rejected. Please, please, publish #3 real soon!
