Summary: Blessed Child is Life changing
Review: This gives me a visualization of what God has in store for us--a goal to desire greatly: God's presence made real. This book should be read to every child from about age 8-10 up, while their minds are clearer than the average adult's. If we could forget the culture and stop discounting the miracles we see, could we be this blessed?

Summary: A message for the 21st century
Review: This is an incredible story, reminds me of books like "This Present Darkness" - only better. One of the reviews on the cover says, "The best Novel I've ever read." I don't think that is an overstatement. Easily one of the top 2 or 3 books I've ever read. Every Christian needs to read Blessed Child - you'll be glad you did!

Summary: Excellent Fiction
Review: This is the kind of fiction Christianity should produce more of -- stories that push one to the edge of thier understanding and challange the mind. Blessed Child does that and more, it's a thrilling ride. Imagine taking a character out of the old testiment, say an Elijah, and dropping him off downtown NYC. You get an idea of what this book is about. If you loved Elijah and are willing to ponder another one, you'll love this book. If you think Elijah should remain a character in an ancient book, you might hate this book. But then all great reads are characterized by such opposing opinions.

The story uses a stray Orthodox priest as a villian and frankly, as an orthdox myslef, I found it refreshing. Every faith has its bad apples. The characters of Leiah and the boy are wonderfully drawn, and if you allow them to, they will bring you to tears. Bottom line: Highly recommended if you want to look into a world where Hollywood holds nothing over God.

Summary: Absolutely Killer!!!
Review: This one will knock your socks off. From the opening scene in a monastery in Eritria to the denoument in the Rose Bowl, this book rocks. But wait. It's not just one of the best action adventure stories ever written. There's a huge spiritual payoff as well. And a heart-wrenching love story thrown in for good measure.

Rumor has it that the makers of Megiddo, a terrifying new apcalyptic thriller, are going to be making a movie of this. I can't wait. The story's so visual, so cinematic, it would make an incredible movie. But don't sit just sit. Run out and pick this sucker up. The movie might never get made. Catch this wave while it's still cresting.

Summary: Blessed Child
Review: You can't miss if you read any Ted Dekker book. He is a bright and shining star amongst writers. He is foremost a Christian, but his books should appeal to anyone who enjoys a great book. Read them all!
