Summary: Excellent
Review: I found it to be very interesting and full of hope to say the least. One reviewer mentioned mentioned it as a book of Mormon fiction, but I frankly can't remember the author mentioning his religion once. In any case it didn't feel preachy in the least. Excellent book...

Summary: Awsome - I bought 2 copies
Review: I have read and owned many NDE books. My wife says I'm "obsessed" but I would call it "passionate". Thought I had heard it all before but this book taught me a few new things. I borrowed the book from a friend who recently lost his disabled daughter. It really put things in perspective and changed his life for the better. After reading his copy, I purchased two copies: one for me (my wife wants to read it next) and one for my dad. I tell my dad that the reason he still around is because there is something important that he is suppose to do before passing on.

Summary: Mormon doctrine of the spirit world in a nutshell
Review: I was really touched by this book. We are so close to the Lord's return and it is so wonderful to know how much love and caring he has for each one of us. There has been so many times in my life when I thought I had it all together and did it all myself, now I know I had help and I am so greatful for loving family and friends on the other side that are there to help if we ask threw the eternal plan. This book I am going to pass on to others that they might have the comfort I feel but also know that we all have work to do and service to give. THANK YOU LANCE FOR SHARING.

Summary: Mormon doctrine of the spirit world in a nutshell
Review: If you are a believing Mormon, you will likely find comfort in this book. The author apparently suffered pneumonia then ARDS following a low speed motorcycle injury. He was unconcious for a period of weeks, during which time the near-death experiences occurred. He was escorted in the spirit world by a deceased cousin named Randy. While there he learns such LDS doctrines as the division between Paradise and Spirit Prison, Temple work, missionary work, spiritual versus temporal creation, eternal families, (priesthood) blessings, etc. He relates meeting a friend called "Rick" who died young, leaving behind a grieving widow and five young children. "Rick" explains that he had died so that he could be a missionary, teaching "Christ's gospel of salvation to those who had not known His plan in their lives". This is a commonly stated explanation given in Mormon circles as to why someone young dies tragically, though not official Mormon doctrine. God needed another missionary more urgently than a young single mother needed her husband and young children needed to grow up with their apparently loving and attentive father?? It is a very unsatisfying explanation in my opinion, and it is unfortunate that this author tries to give it the validity of God's word.
This book reads like cheap inspirational LDS fiction. It plows ground already covered very lucratively by such authors as Betty Eadie. If you already believe Mormon doctrine and seek validation, then this may be the book for you. If not, then save your money.

Summary: Truly a Message of Hope
Review: If you are looking for answers as to what Death means. Not only for you, but for those who have passed, this book is a wonderful guide. It gives a new perspective about death and helps to calm the mourning and fears that come from the experience we know as Death. It truly gives the reader a message of hope.
