Summary: very good book! I couldn't put it down!
Review: I saw a Laurel Shadrach book in the store near the college I go to, and decided to get it. I couldn't put it down--it was that good! I found the second in the series--and couldn't put it down either! Then I found out that Stephanie Perry Moore also writes the Payton Skky Series. When my Christian bookstore got the books in, I was thrilled. I picked up "Staying Pure" and found that I could relate to it. Payton is a very good role model. And even though I am in college, I foud her story very good--even though I had to squeeze time in for it. Payton Skky is an African American high school senior who is soon to be a debutante. In the meantime, her boyfriend leaves her for someone who will give him what he wants--sex. Then Payton's friends all have run ins with guys all their own, and there are many more quarrels. While I have never been in a dating relationship like Payton's, I have had the same friends and classmates being jealous thing going on, and could totally relate to her there. I liked how Stephanie Perry Moore had Payton do the Christian thing when it came to forgiving all the people in her life who had done really bad things to her--even forgiving the girl who stole her boyfriend! Payton is a really good character and her stories are really really good--to the point where you will not be able to put them down! I also recommend the Laurel Shadrach Series by the same author.

Review: STAYING PURE & SOBER FAITH WOW!JUST THE WORDS CAUGHT MY EYES.THESE BOOKS ARE SO INSPIRATIONAL THAT IT BROUGHT TEARS TO MY EYES. Review: Staying pure the (payton skky series1) is a really good book. It teaches teenagers lessons for growing up. it shows how important god is in our everyday life. It also shows us that there is no need to be sexual if you are not ready. it is a really good bokk and i recommend it to everyone.

Review: The whole Payton Skyy series is fabulous. Being a young adult like Payton you understand what she is going through. This is a real page turner! Once you read this you would want to buy the whole set! These books give you a lot of inspiration. They show you that it is alright to be young, a Christian, staying pure, & exploring life through Christ. They show you that throughout your life, if there is troubles on your walk through Christ that as a young adult, you can still rise up if you stay devoted to God.

Review: This book really touched my heart. The characters were so real to me. I am a older young adult, but I could relate to this book so much. It really brings to life the issues that young women are facing today. Ms. Moore has a true gift of writing. I pray that God continues to use her to set young women free. This is a must read for teens and young women !!!

Review: This ia a very good book because for me being a African American woman and being a chritian it is hard to go though life and this book show that you can do it. This book shows that this girl goes though hard times and still makes it. She has a good friends and a boyfrind how is a chritian and has moral that he follows and he respect her. That is the way young men should be today because he had respect for this girl. But I like is because it was real she show that some times she had lost all her faith in God but it also show how you can have good in your life and live a social life.

Review: This is an exciting book about a young girl who discovers herself through the eyes of God by staying pure. I read this book in two days, it really taught me how to appreciate teenage black writing in a way that words can't express! I am getting the next book in a few weeks "Somber Faith" and I hope, no, I know this will be just as good as "Staying Pure" or better.

Review: Though a little juvenile, this book was awesome. I loved to see this young lady in all of her splendor and growing in Christ. Payton, even though you may not like her all the time, makes you fall in love with her. I must say that all in all I got very tired of seeing her whining and also tired of all the celebrity references in order to tell us how fine the people are. Just be a little more creative I say.
