Summary: An excellent addition to the series
Review: In "Woodlands," Robin Jones Gunn adds a seventh book to the Glenbrooke series, creating another captivating plot with a charming heroine. Readers will not only meet new characters, but catch a glimpse of some old friends as well, and an old mystery is solved along the way. The beauty of this book is that can stand alone, although first-time readers of Robin Jones Gunn may want to start with "Secrets" and read through the series in the order in which it was written. Enjoy the read, because this is a book well worth buying!

Summary: Welcome back to Glenbrooke!
Review: Once again Robin Jones Gunn makes us long for this sleeply little town! She does a great job of introducing us to Leah and Seth, updates us of all the characters from the first six books and puts it all together in a fresh, wonderfully told story. She even solves a mystery from Secrets, Book One of the Glennbrooke series! If you liked the other six, you will love Woodlands and long for another trip to Glennbrooke. Oh, just so you know, the scripture reference should be 3:17, not 3:1.....what Chapter? Grab a Dove Bar, read the book and see! (ps to Robin - you can tell you live in the NW, you describe the weather perfectly!)

Summary: Encouraging book~
Review: Robin Jones Gunn is my favorite author, and I have read all of her books. (Including her books for teens) Normally I would rate all of her books with 5 stars, but I felt like this particular book did not have as much of a plot as the rest of her books. It's still a great book, especially because you get to visit her imagined, charming little town of Glenbrooke, Oregon. All of her writing ties in with each other, so you get to visit your favorite past characters once again in every book. Her writing is very unique, and I wouldn't pass up this book if you are a fan. She captures your heart and your eyes, and it is difficult to tear yourself away, once you've begun reading. She implements a strong spiritual aspect to all of her writing, and her characters are VERY encouraging to our own personal spirits. Her charaters love God, and she potreys their feelings extremely well. I feel like the two main characters in this book are very unique from her others, but they are just as endearing. Overall it was quite enjoyable to read this book!

Summary: Woodlands is highly recommended!
Review: Robin Jones Gunn once again pulls off a winner. I really liked this book a lot. It's a little less exciting than some of the other ones she's written, though. I think there could have been a little more interaction with the characters themselves. Plus, I would like to know more about Alyssa and Brad, Shelly and Jonathon, and the other previous characters that are only quickly mentioned in this book. It's still a great read and worth every penny. I absolutely LOVE this author!!! Good job, Mrs. Gunn!!!!

Summary: Another Excellent Book...
Review: The author does a great job with this book, however, the characters don't tie in quite as closely as the other 6 books in her series do. I wish I had read "The Christy Miller Series: The College Years" first before reading this book because it includes a short portion about Seth Edwards. It would have helped in understanding a little more about him and his past. Overall it was a pretty good book once you get into it. The recipes are wonderful in the back of the book! Highly recommended if you love her books!

Summary: THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!
Review: The Glenbrooke Series was the first of Jones-Gunn's books that I have had the pleasure of reading. They are all wonderful stories of christian-style romance and love. They are quick & easy reading. I like the way Robin introduces new and always mentions the past characters in each book. You could read this series of books out of order and still enjoy each one as much as the previous or the next!
Good work Robin!
