Summary: Islamic Truth: A Novel Approach
Review: A must read if you want the truth about Islam!
It is presented in novel form as opposed to a dry treatise, but the storyline doesn't distract too much from the truths contained in referenced examples. Mr. Winn has more guts than most considering his many hours of research actually put him in harms way by meeting with actual terrorists and augmenting his extensive research on what Islam means. We discover that Islam is NOT a religion at all but a manifesto of hate, murder and violence.
The story itself is a little far fetched--more like a super-hero and super-heroine meet, fall in love, and save the world--but this is just a backdrop to the real purpose of this book: to once and for all bring the truth to light about Islam and the NON-peaceful psudo-religion that it truly is.
All the character dialogue, as much as I've researched, about Islam and the Bible, is right on!
A real eye-opener that should be read by all people who wonder why the terrorists do what they do. This book contains the answers, and it's scary.

Summary: An accurate analysis presented as a novel
Review: I just finished the book, and found it mildly entertaining. This book isn't a thriller, its an analysis of Islam and Islamic terrorism, presented as a novel. I think Winn and Power have accurately portrayed Islam, its history, how it is taught, and how it is used to ignite and fan the flames of hatred. If this book was a pure analysis, it could be condensed to about 100 pages, probably less. And that analysis would still raise the hairs on a reader's head!

The book bogs down a bit as the characters discuss Islam, and really bogs down later on what should be done to fix America. I wish the authors had consulted with a ghost writer or two. References to their sources are scattered throughout the text, and an analysis summary or at least a bibliography in the back would have been a good addition.

If you are looking for a real thriller, look elsewhere, this isn't it. I'll give it four stars based on its analysis. If I rated the "novel" on plot alone, it would garner one star.

Summary: Awesome Book
Review: A creative way to tell the truth about Muhammad & Islam. I knew very a little about Islam and the Qur'an before reading this book. I have a much greater understanding of Islam. It was a real eye opener. Muslims are being manipulated and oppressed thru Islam. Many quotes from the scared books of Islam are used thru out the book. This book is probably one of a few that proves that Islam is an oppressive doctrine masquerading as a religion. I think alot of this book. Buy it!

Summary: Warning to America that probably is too late.
Review: There are many good books exposing Islam out there. Annis Shorrosh and Ergun Caner are ex-Muslims who have become Christians and have written excellent theological summaries from first-hand perspectives about Islam. Winn and Power have written a similar book but within the framework of a novel that all-too-often has fiction standing at the front door of reality.

There are many people who will read a novel but will not read a non-fiction book about Islam. From that standpoint, this book is important to have available for such readers. For more scholarly books on Islam, I would recommend Shorrosh or Caner. That being said, Winn's novel blew me away and had me on the edge of my seat for days. If you won't read anything else on Islam, read "Tea with Terrorists."

Winn's book is about an American hero and his love interest who are forced to research the history and theology of Islam before it destroys America. The facts they find about Muhammad and the Koran are beyond the ability to describe in this review. The bible tell us that Satan is a deceiver and a liar. Nowhere is this more true than in the deception of billions of Muslims with Islam. Equally shocking is the deception of the American people from the American media who are controlled by the petrodollars of Arab kingdoms. America is literally over a barrel (of oil). The American public doesn't want the truth because it is too difficult to accept. We want to keep driving our SUV's and go about our merry way. We want to believe that the world is one and everyone wants peace. That is a very appealing dream world but is quite wrong. Denial is not a river in Egypt !!

The book is also quite perceptive that President Bush's war on terrorism is perhaps sincere but misguided. Capturing Saddam or Osama might make Americans feel good but those events are hollow victories. The enemy is still Islam and the message of hate from the Koran will not go away. Winn speculates President Bush will go down in history as failing to have the courage to identify the enemy because being politically correct and winning reelection is more important to him than accepting the clear evidence that Islam is the enemy. Winn also chides Americans for not recognizing world history that the rise of Nazism in the 1930's is closely akin to that of Islam in the past decade. Both are dead set against the Jews. History teaches man learns nothing from history and the struggle with Islam may very well lead the world into the final countdown towards Armageddon.

I was the first to be skeptical of Winn and Power preaching to me about the hazards of Islam. After all, aren't these two of the guys from ValueAmerica that helped prick the Internet bubble that produced the paper loss of hundreds of billions to major pension funds as well as the lone investor in late 1999? They may have not been saints in their past lives or at best, unprepared opportunists laced with greed, but they must have had a change of heart. Like the Apostle Paul, I think Winn may have had a "Damascus Road" experience and has seen the light. Why else take the risk? Winn could sip mint julips the rest of his life with his millions and not have to invite such controversy. I only wish he had included a statement of faith of what he does believe in the foreword to the book. I don't know what would prompt guys who walked away from the Internet bubble with a fortune to take the risk of writing a book like this? Seems like the Muslims would want to string them up on a cross like the heroes in the book. But they are right on with their analysis about the media and the christian establishment that has put peace and unity above biblical truth.

The only knocks on the book is that it could have easily have been at least 50 pages shorter. The hero in the book rails on the Koran as being repetitive while commiting the same crime himself. In addition, the overt Republican agenda presented by the protagonist as he is running for president is a little over the top. I would agree with much of it (in a perfect world) but Winn is a bit idealistic about the compassion of America's wealthiest: The rich tend to be a little tight with their dollar when it comes to helping the poor and needy.

America is in a heap of trouble: The President is fighting the wrong enemy because he won't accept the truth. The media is controlled. The pulpits in America are silent because pastors want to build empires and not offend anyone. If America is soon judged for her immorality and unfaithfulness, no one can say that we weren't warned. Winn's book is one such warning.

Summary: The TRUTH hurts.
Review: And these authors have done a highly commendable job of uncovering the truth. It should be required reading for everyone - especially politicians. They are the ones that can change today to avoid this future scenario. I thought the book well written and very informative. It presents the facts in everyday laymans terms that anyone can understand. And everyone needs to understand. Their interpretations of Islam reveal everything the terrorists don't want us to know and just how brainwashed millions of people are. The Qu'ran and the Hadith are a joke - manifestos for terror. It is about time they were revealed for what they are...and about time for people to listen. It is very difficult to read this as fiction. I have already recommended it to numerous people and will continue to do so.

Summary: The Righteous-right
Review: In the opening note "To the Reader," the authors tell us "today's terrorists have but one thing in common: Islam." This is a simplistic view espoused by Christian fundamentalists. The righteous-right will herald this book as it manna from heaven and they will gobble it up.

In the closing paragraph of the note "To the Reader" we are told the authors "strategy was to prove [their] case through an abundance of factual evidence." (As an aside: The word strategy is based on the word stratagem, which is a tricky and deceitful way to overcome an enemy. The "enemy" are those among us who will take the time to carefully read and check the voracity of the authors' claims.)

Winn and Power shredded their thin creationists veil when they brought up the Second Law of Thermodynamics (p. 221). This is an important dart in the creationists quiver; it is flung every time they battle rational thought and modern science. Creationists do not realize their "dart" is actually a boomerang. Every time it is launched, it returns and clobbers them in the head. They contend evolution is impossible because it violates the Second Law of Thermodynamics. This law applies to closed systems; evolution is an open system. It is driven by an external source of energy-the Sun.

Later, on the same page, they carp about evolution and tell us that "evolution from ooze to humans is irrational!" Later in the book (p. 534) we are told that "humanists ... who think that we are nothing more than the byproduct of chance-an improbable live form that emerged over eons from the primordial slime-I say open your eyes." These are the trite words that consistently appear throughout the creationist's literature. On page 221 the authors surreptitiously revealed the true thesis of the book: The Christian fundamentalists-creationists view of the universe is the only acceptable religion and one of the barriers to their world dominance is Islam. Therefore Islam must be eradicated.

Creationists can not accept evolution because they feel this would invalidate the fantastic and miraculous stories found in Genesis. Creationists tell us the Bible is the inerrant Word of God rather than a book written by the fallible hand of man.

We then learn (p. 588) "if it wasn't for talk-show hosts like Rush Limbaugh ... America would be lost." Rush-the mouth of the righteous-right-is that hypocrite who abhors drug addicts.

The authors rewrite history by telling us the Crusaders who went to the Arab world to terrorize the populace "weren't Christians" (p. 417). Then the following paragraphs the authors build a feeble case condemning the Catholic Church claiming the church hoodwinked the Crusaders: "They were kept in the dark, purposefully duped." If so, when Richard the Lionhearted executed 2,700 Muslims he did so under the aegis of the devil and not the Christian God.

One of the mantras of the righteous-right concerns the Warren Court. The authors tell us the Supreme Court "conjured up a non-existent clause in the Constitution separating church and state" (p. 535). True, the phrase "church and state" does not appear in the Constitution. However, as is the case with many Christian fundamentalists, when they want to make a point they often lie or give half-truths. The Constitution is not a static document-it has been modified throughout its history. First, the Bill of Rights were added and then seventeen additional amendments were added. In addition to the these written documents-the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the amendments-there are the numerous Supreme Court decisions that have clarified these written documents. There is no dearth of court cases that have sanctified the concept of separation of church and state.

The authors attempt to make the case that the Bible is the infallible word of God. If this were so, our nation would be thrown into utter turmoil. For example, Exodus 35:1 & 2 says people who work on the Sabbath must be killed: "And Moses ... said unto them, These are the words which the Lord hath commanded, that ye should do then. Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be to you an holy day, a sabbath of rest to the Lord: whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to death." The authors of "Tea with Terrorists" tell us "you can't legislate morality ... but the Supreme Court found a way to make morality illegal" (p. 535). In case you missed it, the above quote from the Bible is something "the Lord hath commanded." There is a hint in the book that one of the ways to bring morality back into our schools is to post the Decalogue in the classrooms of American schools. One of the Ten Commandments admonishes us not to commit murder. But in Exodus we are commanded to break this commandment when you see someone working on Sunday. Fortunately the above commandment will not be posted in our schools because the Supreme Court has maintained the separation of church and state.

Early in the book the authors begin belittling Islam and they conclude: "Islam is a hoax" (p. 314). They repeatedly point out many absurdities in Islam but fail to mention any the absurdities in Christianity. What would an outsider would think of Communion. A preacher or priest invites his or her congregation to come forward and consume the flesh and blood of Christ. This sacrament, when taken out of context, clearly pegs Christians as blood-thirsty cannibals.

I feel "Tea with Terrorists" is a ruse to bolster the righteous-right. These zealots will do everything in their power to impose their dogma on the citizens of the United States and they will do so under the guise of fighting terrorism.

The righteous-right will probably house this book next to the Bible. My copy is going in the trash can.

Summary: A waste of time
Review: For all the work that the author's must have done to get information for this book, it is beyond me why they wrapped it up in a silly love story novel. For me, it totally took away from the information presented. There are pages and pages of text that can just be skipped over unless you are the type that enjoys a story about Lois Lane and Clark Kent saving the world from terrorism. A silly book.

Summary: Tea with Terrorists Opinion
Review: I am not a self professsed expert on theology but I found this book very enlightening. I heard about it on the Art Bell radio program one night and it stirred my curiosity. I am happy to say that the book satisfied my curiosity and educated me immensely on this very important subject of terrorism in the world today.

I was surprised initially by the "novel" format used disseminate the information about the Islam religion. I don't read many novels, but this one was an exception because of the accurate information provided by the authors. The expression used by the authors about it being a novel "but it doesn't have to be" is right on.

Some parts of the book were a little far fetched. The President's sexual preferences and activities with a cabinet member, the fact that all twelve of Team Uniform survived this mission. Especially when ten of them survived a hostile gunfight with automatic weapons and crucifixion without bleeding to death. The last pages of the last chapter regarding Thor and Sarah's response from the Lincoln memorial to the yaught and to successfully safety a nuclear device without losing their cell phone connection in 20 minutes was unbelievable. I think the "novel" parts were distractions to the truth about the Islam religion that the book was emphasizing.

I would refer this book to anyone who wants to learn the truth about Islam and what motivates terrorists while being entertained by ficticious drama in order to read a book of this magnitude.

Summary: A wonderful account, unvieling Islamic terror
Review: This is a wonderful fictional account of the war on terror. It begins with the horrendous terror attack of 9/11 and goes on to follow the exploits of an X-navy Seal and his team as they hunt down Al-Quieda. This book weaves in the 'what the Koran and Islam really teaches' theme, as the protagonist uncovers the truth behind radical islam and the profound intolerance of Radical Islam. The book explores the new Islamic crusade in the west and uncovers the final battle between western ethics and civilization with that of the east. A wonderful account, very accurate.
