Summary: Amazing
Review: This book is amazing. For the most part it is very accurate and may help give more insight on a friend, lover or family member. Amazing, and fun!

Summary: It's scary
Review: This book is so spot on it scares me. I have a lot of books about Chinese astrology which are definately more detailed but this combination of Western and Eastern astrology gives a short description of each sign which is totally enough. I like the way the book is structured. Each sign, for example Leo/Tiger or Virgo/Pig is described on 4-5 pages which is perfect for a quick and playful reading. This sounds superficial, but Suzanne White is so accurate that people think I'm making it up when I read their's out loud. Astrology is something you believe or you don't, but I can actually tell certain people what Chinese sign they are by their looks. Not all, but for example women born in the year of the rat all have mouse-like features(examples: Sally Kellerman, Lauren Bacall, Gwyneth Paltrow are all born in the year of the rat) and Suzanne White is really good in recognizing and describing this. The way she writes might seem a bit casual but it's not. She's better than some more "serious" written books on this subject translated from Chinese into English. Just buy it and compare it with your friends and you'll know what I'm talking about.

Summary: Very Interesting
Review: This book is well organized. However it does not describe things as one would hope. It gives vague descriptions of each category such as personality traits, love matches, and it contradicts with what I have read in other books. It does however come with a helpful chart to record data onto.

Summary: Wow, thick!
Review: This books was a LOT better than I expected it to be. For one thing, I was at first angry that Ms. White calls my sign the Cat instead of the Rabbit. But she indeed knows a lot about my personality from calling me a Cat, and now I may actually prefer being a Cat! They are virtually the same description, Cat and Rabbit, anyway. Second, I read that she had a grudge against male Goats, which is untrue; her father was a male Goat, the book says, and she loved him. Granted, Ms. White writes with a humor that can sometimes be taken the wrong way. For instance, she seems to think that Scorpio Tigers are oh-so-great and terrific and cool, because she is one. Also, she has no trouble admitting that she once thought Pisces Goats, who are a combination of the two most sensitive and feeling signs from each zodiac, would be 'perfectly useless in the real world.' Those things aside, it really is a very funny and very accurate book. Her new system is near perfect. Being a Cancer Cat, I read my description and was astounded to see how well it matched me in all respects. (The mention of the game Parcheesi in connection with my sign sealed it.) Not to mention she includes the Pisces Monkey John Updike as a celebrity--not many people know about this interesting poet. One of my favorite books on astrology, if you want to know about the subject or more about yourself, it is recommended for you. I greatly enjoyed it.

Summary: Great for parties!
Review: This is a book people either love, or hate. I myself have studied astrology for years, and I adore this book. Apart from her bad habit of addressing the sign of the hare as "Cat," It's a refreshingly modern look at astrology. After browsing over a copy of her "New Chinese Astrology" at the library I work at, I had to run out and buy this book. 9 times out of 10, the accuracy is stunning. I spent weeks walking around and reading passages of this book out loud to every friend and family member who would listen. It was spot-on with everyone but my sister. In any group situation, it's a great way to start conversations! While the name-dropping is a bit annoying, it's entertaining to learn of all the celebrities born under the same signs (I was positivly giddy when I learned that Tolstoy was a fellow rat!)

Summary: WARNING! WARNING! WARNING!
Review: This really is the only astrology book you will ever need. I would give it a 10 out of 10 with all other books falling to a 5 or below in accuracy. I read my mother's horoscope to her and her hair seemed to go straight up in the air. After reading a couple to my brother, he went around goggled-eyed for several days. This woman must have a crystal ball! It's weird. She states that I never get out of the house. Not true! I did about a week ago. She says that I have a self-deprecatory sense of humor! NOT TRUE! (lol, huccup, grimace, brb). It is so weird that this is not really an astrology book. It's more a book of Unknown Facts. If you are a kreep like myself, you will want to buy it and get the "goods" on everybody. Just don't look at yours! Mine said I could be vicious at times! Not True. Only when I write reviews for Amazon.com. Buy the book if you want the goods on EVERYBODY. Then hide it somewhere. Good luck. You will need it.

Summary: I'm looking for the LION-ROOSTER page!
Review: TOO BAD THIS BOOK IS OUT OF STOCK!!! This book was frequently used by all my friends. I had to copie pages so many times for friends that the publisher can send me to jail for it! And now my book is lost, or stolen, I don't know. As a Capricorn-Snake I've fallen in love with a Lion-Rooster. I remember there was a little bizar twist with the Lion-Rooster. And now I'm desperate for the funny and clear vieuw of Susanne. Who would be so kind to mail me this page?

Summary: Surprise! Chinese/Western Zodiac fits a skeptic
Review: While looking for a referece book one day, I found a book of Chinese zodiac written by a Caucasian woman. "Hmmph," I thought, "What does she know about Chinese astrology! If other people's horescope fits my life, then she's an idiot." So I read, the year of the ox, pig, rat, tiger, dragon, and none of them fits mine. "Wow,it can't be." But it was, the year of the snake fits me almost perfectly. Since then, I'm a Suzanne White fan. My friends enjoy reading about themselves & about their spouse. The book is good in that: a) reveals your strength and weakness, b)demonstrates strength in one situation can be a weakness in the next (real life) c) shows the profession best suited to your friends and how many of them are actually in that profession, d)how the love, family, business, home, decoration, personality profiles fit you. The book probably works best if you read your horescope to your friends & family, "sometimes, one is not the best judge of self." Surprising this book even accurately points out friends who had a drug history. Simply put, this book nailed too many things down to be completely coincidental. Overall, this books is fun, informative, & insightful. Sincerely, Jenny Santo
