Rating: Summary: Bogus claims Review: There is nothing in Jesus's teachings which would even remotly resamble Eastern teachings. The Talmund and NT recorded several accusations against Jesus made by the xenophobic Pharisees but no surprise - his Far East visit wasn't one of them. There is no historical nor archeological support for this theory. It is based solely on revelations from spirits (pretenting to be Jesus or Mary) received by Elizabeth Prophet, as well as Edgar Cayce. Don't waste your money. Get the New Testament instead.
Rating: Summary: Through the East Review: This book provides interesting details of the unknown life of Jesus. History written by western scholars and historians is always more popular than the history written by eastern philosophers, scholars and historians. This book is mostly based on the findings of the Russian, Nicolas Notovitch, who found ancient scrpits in tibetian monastries which had references to Christ. The preachings of Christ are mostly based on the sacred Hindu book "The Bhagavat Gita", and the preachings of Buddha. Now it makes real sense to me when I read that Christ was in India and had been to the Kumbha mela and Kashi and became a master of the advanced form or yoga namely Kundalini. An interesting book if you really care about what Christ did in THOSE 17 YEARS...........
Rating: Summary: E.C.P. Changes the Facts to Suit Her Beliefs Review: This is one book I would absolutely love to give 0 stars, if amazon.com gave me that opportunity. First, the Prophets don't have a clue how to write clear, concise English. Second, this is not an intellectual work- unless you like having ideas shoved into your throat without any consideration of the actual facts- every "fact" they give is open to broad interpretation, and they interpret the way they see fit. I could probably write a book on how Genesis 1:1 proves that thought gives us the power to create and manifest anything we want, but I'd have to pick my points very carefully. I don't doubt that possibly Jesus was in the East. But the way in which these people throw their propaganda at you is rediculous. This is not a book for you if you want intelligent facts laid down to support a claim- the prophets just make claims and expect that you take it on faith. The great thing about this book is that most thinking people won't think twice about it.
