Summary: Comfort After the Storm
Review: Richard Bach's "There's No Such Place As Far Away"hasalways offered comfort after any storm that life has handed me. Thisis an uplifting tale that causes us to look beyond our immediate emotions, into a less selfish point of view. As all other Bach books, there are many lessons to be learned.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Not for the uninitiated. The meaning is not verbalised.
Review: The book seems to be a childs bedtime story but contains information in an unprinted form if you are willing to read between the lines. The book contains a few pages but an encyclopedia is contained in whats not said. A good sequal to Jonathon Livingston Seagul

Summary: THIS IS NOT JUST FOR KIDS..
Review: This book is very uplifting. It fills the reader with a feeling of hope and sometimes, melancholy. It's not just for kids, because people of all ages can experience loneliness and through our lives, we all have to cope with the loss of a loved one. This book makes us understand people live in our hearts. It does'nt matter if we lose somebody or if we're far away from our loved ones, because they will always with us, in every thought and in every remembrance.

Summary: This book belongs on every bookshelf
Review: This is one of those rare books that has a timeless message and a simple beauty which belie its brevity. You can read this book in ten minutes. And, you can re-read it a hundred times and feel differently about it each time. Consider it the abridged Jonathon Livingston Seagull, but don't think of it as leaving out anything of importance. I particularly like this book because, in a few minutes, it helps me remember some of the simple truths of life - that time and space cannot separate us from the one's we love. Besides that, it has some fantastic water-color illustrations which make it enjoyable to simply view. I wholeheartedly suggest this book.

Summary: a comforting point of view
Review: When I first read this book as a teenager, it provided a comforting point of view for a lonely Air Force brat who had been in as many different parts of the world as she had been years on the planet. Since my parents recently retired to another state, it has even more meaning for me. I think it is a great good-bye gift for friends or family who are moving away.

Summary: A beautiful book for anyone who has ever missed someone
Review: _There's no such place as far away_ is a short, simple book that can easily be read in 10 minutes or so; despite its simplicity, though, its message is beautiful and timeless, and is one that is often overlooked by us all.

H. Lee Shapiro's beautiful paintings provide the perfect frame for Bach's words - the images at first seem simple, but upon closer inspection their layers and detail become apparent. This little book is a wonderful gift for anyone who is far away, to remind them that you think of them, and are always with them.
