Summary: Good Beginner Book
Review: This is an excellent work to give people just getting started. It's got it's fluffy bunny moments, but it does not suffer from ONE TRUE WAYISM (Unlike Raymond 'would you buy a used religion from this man' Buckland) and it gives people a theoretical framework to build ritual with. It's a place to start.

Summary: Better than some of these reviews claim
Review: I personally found this book to be a wonderful stepping-stone in my Journey. Although you should read up on the VERY basics before reading this, 'To Ride a Silver Broomstick' is a must read for those just venturing into Wicca, witchcraft, and magick. The book gives a modern look at witchcraft and magick, not a traditional one. The information is communicated to the reader softly, and is a much easier read than 'Buckland's Complete Book of Witchcraft.' A very good book for solitaires and eceltrics.

Summary: Thank you, Silver RavenWolf!
Review: I owe so much to this book. I stumbled upon it by accident and my curiosity was aroused. I read the book, and found (at last) a belief system that felt right. The book is insightful and witty, with a solid base of information to begin the study of Witchcraft.

Summary: Fluffy Bunnies and Pretty Stars!
Review: Yet another giggly, fluffy, lets be in awe of (ssshhhh be vewwy quiet) magicK (with a K of course!!! Its one of those secret Wicca things. . .those in the know use a K!) sort of books. There are so many of them out there that make Wicca such a ky00te religion for the teen who wants to piss off their parents! I wonder if my daughter will rebel against me and pick up a bible! If you know NOTHING AT ALL, read it, but with a grain of salt. . .keep looking and searching but it is NOT the do-all be-all end-all of Wicca. Did you know that you cant even GET Llewellyn books outside of the USA (and I suppose Canada). The book stores dont bother carrying them because there is no interest in them, there are too many other GOOD books to read.

Summary: I was just like you
Review: THis book is VERY poorly written. I am a beginner Pagan and i found out that she mislead the information given it upset me very much. There are some good things in it but she screwed up her words too much and is not a good book for beginners who don't know much about pagan. If you are wiccan then it is okay i guess.

Review: this book is great for any begginer. The book goes in depth about wiccan hlidays, dieites and beliefs. A must for those who are interseted in the craft.

Summary: RavenBull is more like it.
Review: It because of books like this that there are so many wannabes running around. RavenWolf takes us on a magickal journey, and that's it. 90% of this book is magick. What little there is concerning spirituality is fuzzy and staggering. There are only a few, yes, a few, paragraphs concerning craft history. And what there is, isn't quite accurate. My conclusion here is that RavenWolf has no true understanding of what her religion is all about. Nor is does she even give the impression that she's even a pagan. The problem that plaugues so many beginners is that they are convinced that there is a correct way to stand, to sit, to talk, to walk, etc. And if you don't follow these rules, your spells won't work, and the goddess won't love you anymore. RavenWolf indulges in these things and actually makes the point of the rules concerning "proper" ritual behavior, thus creating an army of little craft zombies. This is especialy true in the follow up to this book, which is 100% devoid of any religious references whatsoever. This book is HORRIBLE!!!

Summary: It's a great book for the interested.
Review: Silver RavenWolf's book To Ride A Silver Broomstick is a great book for practitioners of paganism and witchcraft (new and old). This book gives great insight of the practices of some modern Wiccans and Pagans. I definitely recommend this book for beginning and adept practitioners because you can always use this book as a refrence to your magick notes and studies.

Summary: It will take you step by step to becoming a practing witch
Review: This book is fantastic! This book was a step by step guide for me when I first became a practing witch. I didn't know how to do anything, but this book told me exactly what I needed to do and what tools I would need, and how to get those tools on a tight budget! I loved this book and I would recommend it to any beginner.

Summary: This book is mindopening
Review: This book truly was my first real book introducing me to the Craft. I found it insightful and full of exercises to help the reader learn at his/her own rate. The book itself I gave four stars because as I found out it does leave out information on "more advanced" practices untill the next book. This would have been okay but the book seemed to contain overviews of many things and in depth information on only a few that S. RavenWolf was Extremely adept at. The book as a whole however did provide an extremely insightful and down to earthy vision of the Craft in all of its complexities and its simplicities as well It is the definitive book for an individual trying to learn the Craft by getting you rfeet wet and then progressing to the next level.
