Summary: Another Hit for Dorothy
Review: Once again, Dorothy Morrison gives us an informative, well written, easy-to-read book. This book is a must have for anyone who is just beginning to walk the path or for those who are seasoned practitioners. With all the new books on the market about paganism and Wicca, it is sometimes hard to find one that is worth it's price.

This book is definitely worth every penny and then some. There is a wealth of knowledge and it is so well written, you can hardly put it down. I also recommend the Craft Companion to go along with it. It is an excellent place to journal your progress as you move through the book's exercises.

Summary: Another Good Refernece
Review: The Craft is also another very good reference guide to help anyone serious in wicca to gain information about the sabbats and constructing rituals. The poetics are exceptional. A MUST read.

Summary: Excellent!
Review: The Craft is, without a doubt, one of the best Wicca 101 books on the market today. Set apart by detailed lessons on magical and mental theory, this book does more than just explain the Craft. It gives interested parties an actual starting point, and that's something that other books of this nature simply can't boast.

While it's true that a Book of Shadows is a personal project and can't be purchased in a bookstore, this book reflects the knowlege that Ms. Morrison amassed over the years and is gracious enough to share with the world. It is, indeed, a Witch's Book of Shadows - her Book of Shadows - and provides an excellent guideline for those who wish to create their own. I will definitely be adding this book to my 101 curriculum.

Summary: Good Book
Review: This book has a lot of useful information in it, including Esbat rituals, which I particulary find very useful. However, it is a little biased, focusing mainly on the lighter aspects of nature. I myself am a Dark Pagan, and incorporate both the light and dark aspects of nature into my practice. The book includes lesson plans of sorts, with recommended time you should practice and focus on the various teachings. I find this book useful, I do recommend it, however I myself take what I see fit from it and leave the rest.

Summary: A must-have for any new Witch
Review: This book has provided me with great insight and new information I consider necessary for any "newbie". Dorothy Morrisson covered the aspect of the Craft that I, as solitary practitioner, enjoyed reading. She provided the reader with sets of exercises, all fun and quite helpful. Although I think this book is terrific, I would like to point out that most of its material are related to the author's Trad, and that she said so herself. It's up to the reader to perform his/her duty of searching and researching. But all in all, this book deserves two thumbs up!

Summary: Craft
Review: This book is fantabulous. Dorothy Morrison does a great job of explaining things such as elements, stones, rituals & more. This is a great book when looking to seek an overall guide to witchcraft. For those that are unsure of what they should read to learn more about the craft & how moons & planets play a huge role-you have found it right here in this book. I highly recommend her as she really knows what she is talking about.

Summary: An ESSANTIAL book for Wiccan Librarys!
Review: This book is one of the best books i have come along
in my study of the craft. This book contains information on Wicca
(ex. The Wiccan Rede, principeles, creed) including the book of law in the Appendix. There is information on the elements, and exercises to help you with them, correspondences, herb/flower/tree information, and rituals to help you with Sabbats. It even provides information on ritual tools, but gives information on how to make them! It explains magickal timing, like the different moons, Sun and Moon times and the connection to the God and Goddess. Although dream symbols are different for everyone, it provides
information for some basic things that helped me. This book has things that i before had no clue about and I've been studying for years! All in all, GET THIS BOOK! Whenther you're just starting out or have been studying for years!

Summary: a great seller
Review: This book is one of the best! I sell a ton of them in my store. It's a consistently great seller. Dorothy's done it again - good information written in a VERY informative and easy-to-read, easy-to-understand way. She's a master at what she does, and I love having her books in my store. In a market flooded with Wicca 101 books, this is one of the best!

Summary: Absolutely Wonderful
Review: This book is wonderful. i completely love it. The Craft discusses Wiccan ethics, and the tools that you need to have to practice Wicca succesfully in a very easy and non-boring if you will way. There is also a practice section at the end of each chapter that really helps you understand the material, as well as make your magickal power grow. I think that this book is a must have!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Not great, but better than most.
Review: This book's format is fairly good for the beginner, but I feel the theology and core of the beliefs is oversimpilfied.
In otherwords, while this book will help with basic how-to instruction, I really must warn against using it alone.

I think there are much more important things that a beginner needs to know that are NOT expressed in this book.
