Summary: A Good Starting Lauch to your Spiritiality.
Review: I have read all three books, and back on 12/08/98 wrote a glowing review on Book#3. Since then, I have discovered deeper and more enlightened truths about the Universe and the meaning of life. I agree with some detractors that Walsch was not talking to God but to his inner "Self", possibly with some channeling. Much of the discourses in these books have similarities to other new age books, but I have learned to not be judgmental, thanks in part to these books, but my observations finds tints of similarities to other books.

But who am I to complain, the book got many involved in their spirituality and was a stepping stone that is getting me back on track with my purpose. I have read the negative and positive reviews on this book and enjoy the extremes because no one is wrong, although some are more correct. When comments are coming from any reviewer's truth, then it is also his reality, and if given sincerely, the truth becomes relative. If anything, the book has caused us to (re)examine our values and assessments, make us look deeper within the "Self", and become more aware of our own spirituality, even if it conflicts with our present convictions.

Walsch's derision of a religious group has its points, but it went too far in its ridicule. Is it not better to have beliefs that introduce a direction toward an Absolute entity, as opposed to aimlessness that can become self and collectively destructive? OK, so for the more enlightened in these matters, we know Walsch was not talking to God, but did the content hurt? Look at the numerous positive comments emanating Love and rebirth. How can that hurt? Perhaps Walsch's motives can be questioned, as can all of ours, but I stop at that, unwilling to take it further into judgement, less I too become judged.

Summary: The final chapter?
Review: Neale Donald Walsch has provided a source of enlightenment in "Conversations with God: An uncommon dialogue" (CWG, Book 3) that is readily matched by the occasionally unsettling nature of the dialogue from prior manuscripts.

In addition to providing the reader with a fascinating look into human love, visitors from "outer" space, the nature of the death and the spiritual body, and other important topics, Neale Donald Walsch communicates with God about varying subtopics which profoundly effect the environment, global warming, starvation, homelessness and premarital sex.

With an overwhelming clarity, CWG Book 3 rings true the nature of human existance in a world filled with miserable, self-righteous, unfulfilled, and generally repressed individuals who would rather cheat each other out of money, goods and services than provide the most basic needs to their common siblings.

Almost to a fault, Book 3 hammers home the important truths humans have come to earth to share in harmony with nature: That in the end, love is the only domain one can master, and even after loving so much, there is more territory to explore, both within the human experience, and after the (earthly) lives of human beings have ceased.

Summary: A complete lie
Review: This book is an absolute lie. there is no such thing as on the fence, the bible itself says you can only serve one master. I think walsh should have spent more time doing biblical reseach than fooling the american public with this farce. There is right or wrong, and this book is all wrong and true Christians should know this. There is a hell and those who think riding the fence is ok will one day be sadly dissapointed. I can't believe the public have become so immorally corrupt as to be duped into believing such filth.

Summary: A conversation between me and my God
Review: Neale Donald Walsh, the author of Conversations with God, writes about his experience with "God". He starts by describing how this book really started. It was in spring of '92 when he had a miserable life. He begins writing personal questions about his bad experiences during those days. As he wanted to throw the pen away, he portrays that "my hand remained poised over the paper, as if held there by some invisible source". This invisible force is God's force. This book is an actual conversation with "God", believe it or not, the choice is yours.

In this novel, there are two characters, Walsh and "God". Walsh asks several questions concerning religious thoughts and the most important question on why is the world "like this". God, through Walsh, tells that humans should know their own truth then, find the truth of "God". Walsh answers that he knows "God" through Ministers, and the Bible. "God"
replies, knowing "God" is listening to the human's feelings, "Words are the least reliable purveyor of Truth". "God" suggests that humans should not listen to anybody about "God" only the human's thought. Walsh also asks how and why his choice of sentiments is negative. "God" gives an answer that humans have been taught to feel shame or to feel guilty by the priests or Islamists, which they call original sin. "God" states that some religions build up theories about this mistaken belief because it is not what priests or Islamists say but what humans believe. "God" responds to one of Walsh's simplest question , why the world is like this with disasters, famines, and wars. "God" responds that in the world "a thing cannot exist without its opposite, except in the world of the absolute". This is one of the reasons, but the specific reason is for humans to test their love toward the world, "I do not show my goodness by creating only what you call perfection all around you. I do not demonstrate My love by not allowing you to demonstrate yours."

This is a non-religious book as it does not go into any details of specific religions but an overview of life and the world. It is a guide to help human humans. The book is a beautiful creation or actual conversation by Walsh. I first read this book with trouble believing that it was actually "God" communicating through Walsh to us. This novel does not offend any religion, it suggests only ideas that no human thought of. This conversation widely opens the readers view about life, and it also gives them more pride. It helps the readers know more about what life is, and how is it like. The novel unwraps several patterns of existence for the human being. This book gave an idea concerning life. I have more control over myself, I focus more on the unfortunate people who do not have the chance to eat, live and educate themselves, and not thinking that what can do for them but what the human can do for them, it sounds like John F .Kennedy talking but it is true in life, return the favor to "God". I enjoy this conversation, and I am reading the second one, which discusses society. I learn many facts about life and thoughts, and people. If someone told me to describe what this book did to me, I would share the same answer as one of my classmates, "It changed my religion"

Summary: Excellent, Awesome, Inspiring! Highly Recommendable To ALL!
Review: This book is GREAT. In fact, the entire collection of CWG books are among the BEST ever written. The deep wisdom shared in these books coincide completely with the unspoken truth that has resided within my heart for as long as I can remember. As I read these words, my heart recognized the profound truth spoken in these books. Reading these books have caused my entire perspective of all of life to shift in an amazing way. I recommend the CWG books to all. Especially for those who are ready to remember the highest truths, see the light beyond the deceptions & false teachings of many organized religions & of our misinformed society & find the true MEANING in life -- The true meaning of "God". I highly value all 3 of the CWG series, although book 3 is my favorite!:):)

Summary: The CWG series
Review: I had always thought there was something more to God than the religionists had said. I had hoped that one day I might understand, but I thought it would take a lifetime of focus on religion and philosophy. Thank god (literally) that it has chosen to explain how life works in such an easy to read, easy to understand format that only God could do. I have read many.....shall we say...self help books. These are my last. I have suggested to many to read Book 3 prior to Book 2 and it seems to help their understanding better (please excuse me God for editing you). All you will ever need to know about life and god is found in these books. I have read, re read, and given away copies. I believe these books will change lives and those lives will change the world. The God in these books is a God that I can be friends with. A God that does not condemn, but rather a God that extends the most real form of love a parent could give to its child......FREEDOM to express ourselves in anyway that makes us happy. Yes, God speaks to us all. But who listens? Finally, God has chosen a print form that is easy to understand. What a blessing God has offered us in these books. The question is.....will we choose it? I have and I look forward to meeting the legions that will awaken when they do. A new, happier world awaits us. Come join us. There is plenty for everyone.

Summary: Thought Provoking
Review: I received Conversations with God as an early Christmas present this year from my mother. Always on a spiritual journey and eager to expand my way of thinking, I jumped right in. I read the book in one sitting; I just couldn't put it down. What CwG presents is a different vision of God than many people are used to. People that have "made up their mind" about religion will not be swayed by this book, some will call it blasphemy. This book isn't written for them; it is written for those "on the fence" and for people that don't have all the answers worked out for themselves yet. God, as presented in this book, is all loving, never judging, and anxious to walk with you on your journey to become a god youself. There is no hell, no "right" or "wrong." Suffering in life can be controlled by your own thoughts, and we have the God-given power to create our own reality. True, these are similar to Buddhist, Hindu, and Wiccan themes. You can believe that Mr. Walsch really conversed with God or not, but either way, this book will leave you feeling calm and blessed. It is a beautiful step towards enlightenment, if you choose to take this particular path.

Summary: What's in a Title ?
Review: I don't care if Neale Walsch named this book "My Own Opinion". I bought this book because I heard the name over and over for months and I saw the changes in people who had read it.

If God is in all of us, which I believe he is, and God speaks to all of us on our own terms, which I believe he does....then yes, this book is a conversation between God and Neale.

It is a shame that people who rate this book a 1 or 2 follow with " I only got to page 40 or chapter 6." As for my re-view....God or blasphemy, spirituality or religious, 10 commandments or no ten commandments; I choose to take what I need and leave the rest.

I did question some points but the reason I did was because as Neale puts it "This goes against everything I have been taught. It doesn't stand up to the facts." WHO'S FACTS? WRONG ACCORDING TO WHOM ? HMMM, makes you think doesn't it?

There is no book on earth, including the bible, that people won't "pick apart". They see one sentence, idea, or paragraph and make a conclusion about the whole book.

The whole basis of the book is to get people to THINK for THEMSELVES not take Neales word for it.

We are all "called" for different reasons. Find your "strong point" or your "weak point" for that matter, in this book and make a change for you. After all, isn't that what we're all trying to do...find our place in this mess we call our world. Why people fight to keep things the same is beyond me. Take what you need and leave the rest and above all EXPECT A MIRACLE.
