Rating: Summary: The only deck I use for personal readings Review: I eagerly awaited the first printing of this deck, and I wasn't disappointed. I have always found a resonance to the artwork, even before I started my in-depth learning of Tarot. I find Ms.Wood's symbolism and color choices to be excellent, and her personal understanding of human facial & physical expressions brings this deck into the realm that says " Use Me ."
Rating: Summary: A Tarot for the Barbie Generation Review: I expect this deck appeals to many people, judging from the number of copies I've seen around. In its favour, the colours on the cards are bright, and the deck is well-printed. You don't have to squint to see what's going on in the pictures; they're not blurred (a pet peeve of mine). The scenes portrayed on the cards are pretty, too, albeit in a highly conventional way.But...after you've looked at the cards for a while, you'll realise nearly all the people figures are blond, white, and happy. They look like pseudo-medieval Barbie and Ken dolls, if you can wrap your head around that idea. Much of the traditional tarot symbolism has been removed, which would be fine if there was something to take its place, but there isn't. The deck is vapid. Even the supposed 'Wiccan' connection is of the 'flowers-and-bunny-rabbits' variety. I give Wood credit for coming up with one of the most interesting Devil cards I've seen. It depicts a man and a woman tied to a chest of treasure that they're trying to pull out of a cave - with no success. A very apt comment on our times, though it is incongruous with the overall feel of the deck. Aside from that card, this is too much of a 'shiny happy people' deck, and lacks the depth that should be inherent in tarot. I could forgive this if it was meant to be a whimsical deck, like the Halloween, Phantasmagorical, or Wonderland tarots, but it isn't. As a serious tool for either reading or meditation, it falls far short of its goal. The Robin Wood tarot is largely a Rider-Waite-Smith clone, but if you're looking in that direction, you can find better. This one just doesn't hold up. The deck contains a fair amount of nudity, but it's quite inoffensive. Possibly a good deck for teenage girls, but I'd not recommend it for anyone over age 16, owing to its shallowness.

Rating: Summary: A Beautiful Tarot Deck!! Review: I have several tarot decks, but this is the one that I use for readings and spell-work. Easy to read & interpret, with beautiful artwork by Robin Wood. I loved her "People of Pern" artbook, so when I saw her tarot deck in 1991, I grabbed it and have loved it ever since.
Rating: Summary: The deck I use most Review: I initially bought this deck because of Robin Wood's art, which I was introduced to through her illustrations of Anne McCaffrey's Pern characters. The artwork on the cards is wonderful, but I also found that I instantly connected with this deck--fascinating given my Christian spiritual path and the deck's pagan symbolism. I find it easier to do readings with this deck than with any other deck I own, primarily because I find it heightens my intuitive sense of the cards and of the reading.

Rating: Summary: The Beauty of Tarot Review: I knew I had to have this deck when I saw it... the colors are gorgeous, the drawings are beautiful! This deck has a voice of its own and speaks as soon as it is released from its packaging. A great deck for anyone, it opens the eyes and the mind.
Rating: Summary: My Favorite Deck.... so far! Review: I own five decks (so far) and, at this point this is my favorite one. I am just learning Tarot and found this one to be easy and enjoyable. I've found that you really must like the deck you're learning with and this one is both attractive and inspiring. The images are both colorful and meaningful. As I become more experienced, I am sure I'll be adding more decks to my collection, but I am sure this one will always be "up there."
Rating: Summary: A Wonderfully Detailed Deck Review: I purchased this deck after seeing pictures of it in the book "Tarot, Plain and Simple" I was struck by how detailed the pictures on each card were. Each picture easily tells the reader it's meaning, there is no guessing. My only disappointment in the deck is the coloring of some of the cards. The Wands in particular are very yellow. I however overlook the color of the cards to concentrate on the wonderful drawing. I find that I am using these cards more and more often and they may end up being my favorite deck!
