Rating: Summary: It changed my life. Review: Ever since I was a little girl, I've rejected organized religion and believed that I had a direct line to God. I have read all the CWG books and listen to the audio tapes in my car many times. They have changed my life. Book 2 was harder to accept because it talked about politics and global issues, subjects I try to avoid, but nonetheless, the parts about raising children and sexuality confirmed what I've always believed in my soul. I finally feel at peace and look forward to much more spiritual growth. I recommend these books to everybody. If you are ready...they will change your life forever.
Rating: Summary: Neale...THERE IS NO SEPARATION? Review: Conversations with God II would be my first purchase then I bought book I, and book III and "The Little Soul and the Sun" by Neale Donald Walsch. Impressed by Neale's humility(which seemed to be a new experience based on Neale's own account of past behaviours, perhaps judging himself too harshly)I found I was interested in everything that God and Neale discussed. It made perfect sense to me as my son Jason and I had been experiencing conversations as our "Letters from Heaven" would reveal when I read my journal of what I thought would be memories of my son Jason...but what I got was much more! As Neale and God discussed so many areas of interest to me and shared some pretty insightful conversations I admit I felt like I was listening in on a private conversation. My interest consumed me! Somewhere in one of these amazing books is this sentence...there is no separation...then Neale goes on to something else. Wait I think to myself, stop, go back, I want to hear what God has to say about that! Having been writing letters to Jason and hearing his response in my head as I sat outside trying to heal my heart from the grief that consumed my soul and took me to the deepest pain my heart could ever imagine I was comforted by this sentence...there is no separation. My grief overwhelmed me at times and blindsided me with no warning. I decided I must deny no emotion and experience the anguish totally. I knew Jason would not want me to torment myself like this even though my ego seemed to thrive on this drama and took me to a place I dreaded...self-pity. How dare I wallow in this lowly place... I immediately decided to rise above this torment! That's what Jason would want me to do and suddenly I confronted my emotions and analyzed what "there is no separation" means.I felt Jason was near me often and things happened around me to console me with his spirit.I was definitely not "running this show". Synchronicities at every turn including how I came to know about Neale's journey with God and how it consumed his life for several years. I say or think something and spirit leads me to the same thoughts...am I going out of my mind? No, I am certain something wonderful is happening and it is leading me to discover the source. Inside, everything is inside us...seek the kingdom within! This must be what it means! Neale and I arrived at this place at different times, of course, under very different circumstances but maybe not so different at all when we realize we were searching our heart for information and healing. A gift was available to us when we ventured far enough inside to see it...accept it or not? We have a choice. Thank you Neale for your dedication to such a huge gift! Love, Linda
Rating: Summary: A beautiful awakening!!! Review: Spiritual, beautiful and very moving. Very different from the teachings of any religion, and yet Mr. Walsch makes so much sense touching the buttoms that have never been touched before. It changed my life and helped to create a "Real Relationship with God".
Rating: Summary: Smile is the window to your soul, laughter is the door! Review: This is another great text taken out by Neale after his fantastic Book 1. This book is more based on the global truths and takes the conversations to the global issues we are presently facing. It also tells us the ways and methods of solving the problems we have been facing from long time. It is the second series of Conversations with God, all three books could be best described as - Individual Truths Global Truths Universal Truths This is the issue on global truths, but some places I have felt that the conversation has gone too particular on focussing USA issues. In fact what I expected are truths dealing with the world, but unlikely here they were precisely focussed on USA and it was only at certain stages where they were discussed on a global prospective. This is certainly a very nice book that makes you believe in the truth irrespective of whether you believe in God/religion or not? There have been many duties, which were expected out of us and we all do know them very well. Still we fail to accomplish them and then ask what is it that is going wrong in my life. Here you will find the answer. There is nothing much that can be written for this document as it is an extension of conversation with God - Book 1. This is not as good as Book 1, but the word "good" is a relative term here, meaning that which is not acceptable by me as clearly and fervently as I did for Book 1. There are many people who listen to what the truth has to say to them, and then ignore it. Reading Book 1 and then ignoring Book 2 would be certain people like that. Believe me, it is time for all of us to awaken from our inner tensions, jealousy and hatred and make a world full of love, peace and joy. This book will only give you the knowledge and tell you how to make that but to be a wise man you need to follow the rules of wisdom. Wisdom is knowledge, applied. What you will finally feel about this book is how your soul will communicate with you because - Feeling is the language of the soul. Happy Reading!
Rating: Summary: Open your mind. Review: I have read the many reviews of this book. While most are of the grateful many whose lives were changed by this book, some are of the closed minded saying that it was just Walsh's own views, using "New Age" Rhetoric. Well that's fine. Go ahead, label it. Dismiss this book as the acts of a greedy man just spouting off old ideas for money, if it makes you feel better. Stay inside your walls. Your right. It is a good possibility that the ideas in this book were spoken by someone else before Walsch. But does it mean that if someone else has had these same ideas of peace and freedom, it makes what's in this book any less valid? Some people may need a church to feel valid in their spiritual life, and that too is fine. The core of many religions are good, no matter how rotten the shell is. Yet for those of us who do not need to find God in the pages of an ancient book; for those of us who would rather find God in the now and every thing around us, this book will help clarify your questions. Now, you can believe what he says or not. I too, while reading this book, found passages where Walsh's own mind came in the way of what I believed God was saying. But if you know the truth of God, and can recognize it in any form, you will find it inside the pages of this book. For those who think that this was done solely for money: Does it matter? Do the authors intentions really have an effect on the message of the book? Is it not written in the Bible that the word of God doesn't loose its power, no matter who speaks it? I know of thousands of people who's lives were changed that saw paying for this book as a way of saying thank you. I believe that Walsh wrote this book to help people that were in the position he was. The money was just a side effect. But again, you can believe what you like. My only hope by writing these words is to challenge those who would have written off this book as "New Age." Perhaps it is a new age. One where all are loved, regardless of their actions. Is that so terrible? If your still skeptical, borrow this book from a friend. You'll risk no money, and all you'll spend is a small amount of time. What harm is there in trying? Find God, wherever you can, and your life will be that much better.
Rating: Summary: Neale and God, part 2 Review: In a moderate departure from Book 1, Neale Donald Walsch has nevertheless continued to impress upon his readers the sensible nature of God in "Conversations with God: An uncommon dialogue" (CWG, Book 2) While the topics range from the mundane to the downright upsetting, Neale Donald Walsch communicates the utter frustration most humans feel with the lack of intervention by God in real life. Surely, Mr. Walsch reasons, a loving God would not let his planet suffer, the occupants commit global wide manslaughter, and the general universe to fall into chaotic self-decay. It is important to note that while God stands out as distant in parts (yet loving in others), CWG Book 2 does not leave the reader with a sense of closure or general good feeling for the future (hence a third book). Nevertheless, Book 2 provides an outstanding source of logic, philosophical input, and tremendous spiritual growth for those willing to read it.
Rating: Summary: CWG Review: I will just say that this trilogy has made a huge difference in my life. I feel that it gives a huge amount of insight on everyday issues we deal with in the present. Anyone who could read this book and find it offensive I do not understand. I hope one day this book will be universal in thought. I am glad it has done so well.
Rating: Summary: AN EYE OPENING SPIRITUAL TREASURE Review: This is definitely an inspirational book for our time. I sincerely hope that the author was indeed inspired by God because there is so much knowledge and advice concerning tough topics that makes good sense despite their contradicting the beliefs of traditional religion. One topic that moves me deeply is the concept of being one with all people and with God, and of not having to be afraid of God who should be considered all-loving and not vengeful. I was also moved by the encouragement of a positive attitude towards sexuality in all its wonderful glory. It's about time that someone attempt to put an end to all the guilt, anxiety, and frustration that's plagued on us by traditional religion. We ought to be able to love and pleasure our partners and even ourselves in a spirit of joy, without hurting anyone of course. Thank you, Mr. Walsh for writing such a terrific guide for all of mankind! "PLEASE GOD LET THIS BE REAL!...
Rating: Summary: Not Up To No. 1 or No.3 Review: This is an interesting book that raises a lot of spiritual and moral questions about the world and society in which we live. A though-provoking book, I confess I didn't find it as relevant or stimulating as Book 1 or Book 3, these seem to have more of a personal focus.
Rating: Summary: "LET GO, AND LET GOD" Review: I am simply re-evaluating my whole life through this reading. It is so timely and so simple to read that I can hardly believe this whole information can be found in a simple set of books. Is Hitler in Hell or in Heaven? Does Hell exist anyway? Does the Evil exist? What is time? What is the purpose of.... Sex, Sex, and More Sex, is it Good or Bad? Does GOD punish anyone? Are there 10 Commandments? Do we really have free will? Is it Neal Donald Walsh the only guy with the "truth" here? Can we challenge GOD? Is GOD a He or a She? Are there other Civilizations in the Universe? Have they visited us? Will we see them someday? Was Jesus the only one who could talk to GOD? Is there another Master like Jesus alive on earth now? Are we doomed as a race? Can we do anything to improve this? Will the planet survive our ruthless contamination? And many, many other questions get answered here. What am I getting out of these? Hope, Hope in my heart. I can now let my feelings go free, my thoughts go free. I do feel the joy of knowing that GOD is here with me all the time, ALL THE TIME. Now I feel joy when I say - "GOD, I Love You" And a voice inside me says - "And I Love You Too!"
