Rating: Summary: A Must Read....A Changing Life Experience Review: This will change the way you believe. We have been lead to believe to fear God and his punishments....Wrong.....Embrace God...He is nothing Like I was taught. No more Fear...If only everyone would read Mr. Walsch's books...they would have peace.
Rating: Summary: More political opinion than divine giudance. Review: Compared to Book 1, this was a bit of a disappointment. As with the first, it contains a good deal of wisdom, but this one appears to be more of a personal political commentary than a source of divine inspiration. Most of the text lays out a plan for a stable world government. This comes across as overly simplistic, as wishful thinking. It offers a very human concept of utopia, not a divine plan. It covers the superficial requirements for world peace, but does not offer any substantial spiritual instruction to get us there. I think there may be some level of divine inspiration behind this book, but it appears that a good deal of it was filtered through Mr. Walsch's personal opinions and limited perspective.
Rating: Summary: Conversations With God : An Uncommon Dialogue (Book 2) Review: The dialogue in this book was very very difficult for me to accept, so much so that I couldn't get half way through it. The subject matter is of course very enticing but the content is ludicrous.
Rating: Summary: A total sham and anti-Christian fabrication. Review: This new age fraud's series of books are full of lies and fabrications, claiming to be the voice of God. This book claims that God suggests that value-less moral relativism (no good or evil)is the path to a "new world order" which denies the truth of love and Christianity and the absolute power of God. These books, vols. 1,2,3 are the most damaging attempt by an anti-Christian to undermine the truth of Jesus Christ. Don't believe a word of it. I'm writing a book called The Practical Guide to Real Christianity which will dispel the lies and fabrications of the shameful author of this pathetic attempt at deception.
Rating: Summary: Author's own socialists beliefs taints logic & credibility Review: God's dialogue concerning science and spirituality seems consistant with modern scientific sensibilities. God talks of cycles and the necessity of polarity for evolution. There is no good without bad (Hitler goes to heaven) - hot without cold, male without female and so forth. The author then would have God switch from these earlier declarations to talk about the need for a socialist society, i.e., God does not like how the poor is exploited at the hands of the rich; wealth is not created, it is just taken. The author has it backwards - it is socialism that destroys capitalism in a neverending cycle of freedom to socialism to communism to fascism to freedom again. In reality, there is little difference between a Feudal Noble and a member of the Polit Bureau in terms of unearned power (Bill Gates is not a Feudal Noble by the way). Because it is more desired to be rich than poor - individuals (and societies) are forced to adapt and evolve. The author makes a failed attempt to qualify his form of socialism as a voluntary system - however such a view is myopic and flies in the face of history. The author gets unexpectedly specific with praise for Bill Clinton for fighting for labor (by the way, Clinton supported NAFTA and Free Markets) and credits primarily Gorbachev for the end of the Cold War. At least 4 presidents are mentioned but Reagan is curiously not. The book works until God's laws are broken by the Author's own leftist political leanings - maybe in an attempt to get on Oprah Winfrey to sell more books. I have had many conversations with God too, and He has told me that Ayn Rand was right with regard to socio-economic issues. I guess the good news is - according to the author's postulate - even Reagan gets to go to Heaven.
Rating: Summary: Perfect for beginners Review: This was one of my first spirtual books I read, one does not need any spirtual knowledge to understand it I also like book 1 & 3.
Rating: Summary: The Best Series of Books Ever Written Review: Though there are an infinite number of similar books out there. None so concisely and understandably explains the basic fundamental truths of our existence and our purpose on this planet. This is a nuts and bolts guidebook to changing ones life, understanding what we are here for and showing us how to live our lives fully. This text facilitates simple integration of often misunderstood concepts. Topics ranging from "time" to manifestation of physical reality, understanding how individuals create wealth (or poverty) and the tools to alter that paradigm. What "unconditional love" really means and how each of us chooses bliss or misery; plus how to consciencely manifest that choice.
Rating: Summary: Amateur Novelist vs. Spiritual Guidance Review: "An Encounter with a Prophet" by C.A. Lewis is a good introduction for fundamentalist Christians who are just beginning to get in touch with gnawing concerns about their lack of spiritual fulfillment and the fear-based motivation of their belief system, and who are beginning to doubt that Satan is lurking behind every door. Walsch, on the other hand, will appeal much more to non-fundamentalists, or to those have already addressed those basic shifts in mindset (if they came from a fundamentalist background) and are looking for deeper answers. These two works address very different audiences, depending upon your current level of spiritual awareness.
Rating: Summary: Truth About God Review: I have always known my childhood teaching about God were flawed. This book tells the truth. I would also recommend the book An Encounter With a Prophet for conformation of these truths.
Rating: Summary: Thanks to God and Neale Review: I have known for some time now that what I had been taught about God could not be true. I knew my Father could not have all the human traits that religion tells us He has. He is perfect in all ways. It is wonderful to hear straight from God what He expects of us, or what He does not expect from us. Thank you to Neale Walsch for having this conversation with God and then letting us in on every word. Together we will all have an impact on our world.
