Rating: Summary: Factual mistakes and circular logic Review: This is a book filled with factually incorrect sophmoric ideas about social issues, supported by what is often circular logic. It is difficult to believe that this poorly written, intellectually childish book is the work of the almighty. Oh well, the Lord works in mysterious ways.
Rating: Summary: More interested in trimming my nails Review: And my nails grow slowly. Basically, God likes women more than men (proving yet again he is a male) and Hitler and Mother Teresa are playing cribbage in the clouds. Puleeze!
Rating: Summary: Excellent - A Must read for any spiritual seeker!! Review: Having been a student of Spirit for more than 15 years, I found Conversations With God (all three books)to be extremely in tune with my experience of the universe. Neale's information represents a Unified view of the universe and is unparralled by much of the religious information in print today. My studies have shown me that all religious views have basically been born from the same place, an experience of the Divine through man. Over time these experiences have been dogmatized into seperatist views. CWG cuts through these dogmatic views and right to the core of what it means to be a part of God/Spirit.
Rating: Summary: Challenge yourself to believe again! Review: All my life I have battled with my beliefs and as to their validity regarding God. Everything I watched on tv or heard in the church, no matter how hard I tried to believe, felt wrong, miscommunicated, and not the true word of God. I turned my beliefs and realizations inward, crystalizing what I believed to be right in my heart and soul. Then I read this book, and was stunned, amazed, and filled with joy. Almost everything expressed in this book were identical to what I believed to be true. Ever since I have started reading this book, I have found a true sense of peace I thought I would never feel. I have been telling all my friends to buy this book and read it! Open you mind, let go of your hatred, disbelief. Don't fall prey to those relegious teachers who would have you believe this book is blasphemus. God never stopped talking, we just stopped listening.
Rating: Summary: CWG 1&2 was truly a gift from God. Review: As a Catholic who found discontentment with my church, I sought wisdom and spiritual growth through all means possible. It is true as book 1 states, that the books come to you. God has sent me wisdom spoken through Mr. Walsch. My outlook on life has changed and I have found such peace within myself. So many of my beliefs were verified through these books that I have found internal peace. Now, my journey is to help others share in this wisdom and contentment. I no longer fear God. I now follow the feelings of my soul and not the thoughts of my mind. I anxiously await book 3. These books must be read by all who search for the truth.
Rating: Summary: Excuse me....there's a noticeable abscence of Jesus here.... Review: Echoing other's comments here...it sounded like a cool book until about page 20 or so....cool idea..but Biblical errors mixed with "feel good" garbage......God soon became the Earth and Wind and whatever.....that's where it lost me.....long before "Heaven is the only place/ no Hell" crap. Please know your Bible before you adopt this as "Truth Addendum." Am I the only one who noticed that Jesus is not mentioned or alluded to?? That's your litmus test. God says there are a few truths that will tell you whether what you are reading is from Him or not....whether they make you "feel good" or not.
Rating: Summary: These books are emancipating. Review: I used to think that I was an atheist, and after reading many books discovered that it was not God that I didn't believe in, but rather organized religion. God agrees. In fact he/she is very careful to define the difference between religion and spirituality. God states the truth about existence in very simple language. And it is great to learn that God has a sense of humor. If one is courageous enough to read Walsh's books, they will have every belief system shaken up and feel truly emancipated. These books are part of a spiritual journey for me that is almost inarticulable, but is characterized by great inner peace. Many times it seemed God spoke directly to me. I would like to correspond with others who enjoyed these books.
Rating: Summary: A very enlightning book that really makes sense! Review: I have read both book 1 and 2. They make knowing God so much easier. They also help me to understand Him more than anything I have ever read, heard or seen! I eagerly look forward to reading book 3. I highly recommend the reading of these wonderful books! Thank you for helping me finally understand.
Rating: Summary: ...A Spiritual Orgasm, for lack of a better term... Review: And why not? If you feel as enlightened as I, and as open as I, then go ahead and say YES YES YES OH GOD YES aloud while you are reading these books.
Rating: Summary: "Breadcrumbs" to follow Home. Review: Every human being, I think, eventually experiences a feeling of more than a mere physical presence. Dreaming, I feel, is our primary awareness of the possibility of a more involved existence. It is our connection that something beyond ourselves contains ourselves. Whatever that something is, I believe to be the very Source of All Creation. I think it is this Source that Neale has connected with, be it through inspiration of thought, or indeed, what some would call the Hand of God.There is definitely a movement within our own being, that we at least entertain the possibilities of the material presented in this work; otherwise, each and everyone of us would not have been drawn to its existence. As for feeling any fear of some blasphemous union of thought, I am struck to remember that, Galileo, was considered blasphemous for professing the existence of a certain planet named, Jupiter. For threat of life or limb, he was forced to deny his discovery as it did not conform to the knowledge, and falsely perceived wisdom of the day. It does, however, not change the immutable fact that Jupiter does, indeed exist. Religion, I once thought, almost made me become an atheist. I came to learn that the only one that can do that to me, is me. So I take those dogmas for what they are and bless them with the loving tools of Spirituality; for afterall, it is religion that taught me... Through, God, all things are possible. Even the possibilities of the contents of CWG being truly the thought and scope of All Creation. I feel, I have always known what is being presented in this material. The Creator of All Things, I think, would converse in a manner consistant and appropriate to the understanding of those being addressed. The very essence of Truth, to me, has always been the presentation of idea and thought, as something to be pondered on ones own terms, assimilated individually to anyones particular quest, and released when such thought did not comfortably fit ones form. This allowance is the very Source of the free will we have been given at birth; a gift only a Truly Benevolent Being could afford to give. As I continue my journey of soul through body, mind, and spirit, I look forward to witnessing the final chapter in the trilogy of Neale's work through our One and Only Source. As a fellow being, gifted with the innate possession of tracing a way back Home, I have only to say...See Ya' when I get there....All of Ya'!!!!
