Rating: Summary: The veil has been lifted! Review: David Icke is truly the most gifted author of all time! He has opened my eyes to the most important and startling truths I have ever heard! Nobody else on this planet has ever identified the true reality of our planetary controllers and their intentions for the world in the way that he has. David Icke tells us of our true history going back thousands of years ago all the way to the present. He reports it in a way that is literally bone chilling and yet inspiring! David Icke also offers insight to our true sprituality that 99.9% of the earth's people overlook in their daily lives because they were never told. Everything that David Icke writes is a must read for all humanity especially in these troubling times. Certain people on this planet decided a long time ago that the only way to control mankind was to keep us ignorant of our true nature and spirituality. That is exactly what they have done! Mr. Icke helps to understand these facts and offers us hope for our future! His books need to be in every household, in every language.
Rating: Summary: He regurgitates every documentary Review: No valuable sources and if you buy this book you are supporting the real lizard! If you pick it up at a garage sale for less than a dollar it will be money well spent. His books are not factual, not supported theories, just his own vomit on paper with no facts and he is obviously ADD, because he comes from one thought to another without a good transition. I actually have a friend who takes his words as gospel which shows you how dangerous this con really is.
Rating: Summary: "Intelligence Impaired by Misconceptions" Review: First, I did enjoy the reading of the book, but not for enlightenment, which I found severely lacking. This book is an excellent study in the misuse of research. There is extensive use of "documentation" to support many half-baked claims, but further research reveals the sources to be seriously flawed. Often no source whatsoever (beyond the author's belief or assumption) is offered. After an Internet search, I found "Is It True What They Say About Freemasonry?" to be an excellent source of debunking what this author claims, as this Internet source very clearly discusses the origin of false claims and subseaquent recantation of same by the most significant (and most perpetuated) over a century ago. Icke is far too intelligent to have concocted his vast conspiracies out of simple misunderstandings. Even geniuses can be nuts. As someone who has been extensively trained in the "Scientific Method" and the mathematics of statistics, schooled in research methodology and interpretation, and a physician with several undergraduate degree qualifications, I can say without hesitation that this author has a very poor understanding of modern science, what science can and cannot prove, and of evolutionary theory. He frequently uses a single (often questionable) source to represent "proof" and, I believe, one can follow the development of either schizophrenia or a serious bipolar disorder in the progression of his publications. His thought processes are clearly delusional (and I am qualified to evaluate them). If the book is read as a fictional conspiracy story that is intricately woven (and one can simply "suspend disbelief" of nondocumented claims that certain pieces of real estate were originally pagan worship sites), it can be fun and funny. I was reminded of the first time, as a child, I heard my parents use the expression: "There are skeletons in their closets." I was afraid of the closets for months. Icke repeatedly misunderstands allegory and is stuck in literal meaning. This type of "concrete" thinking is symptomatic of schizophrenia. If you ask a schizophrenic to interpret the saying: "People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones," they will tell you a strictly concrete reason that stones break glass. They do not understand the abstract meaning: "Unless you are perfect, don't criticise others." Icke seems to display concrete and delusional thinking throughout his works--and one can follow the escalation of this problem chronologically throughout his publications. The old saying that "a little bit of knowledge" can be dangerous thing," is well demonstrated here. From the plausable to the preposterous, this book unfairly defames many people and groups, often with implausable or no documentation. If you check sparse resources he sites, you will soon realize that the sources used sources which used sources which were fabrications or which were imagined or were falsely reported. Icke needs to learn basic research technique--clearly he doesn't get it. It is sad to see "scientists" lumped together as a group whose purpose is to convince the masses that God does not exist. Science seeks knowledge through testing of an hypothesis which demonstrates repeatable results which are unambiguous and do not include, or tolerate, assumption. Icke frequently misrepresents even accepted scientific knowledge. He obviously "thinks" he understands the works of others (example: Charles Darwin), but demonstrates by his statements that he has not read or understood the study he dismisses/disputes (Darwin never said man descended from apes, but observed the similarities of these primates, and was deeply religious, not an atheist as Icke claims). The "knowledge" that Icke demonstrated was akin to one's understanding of a great literary work through having seen a bad movie adaptation of a great novel. Icke has a fixed hatred for freemasons and will use any statement, no matter how outrageous, incorrect, silly, or unfounded to try to get the reader to accept his point of view...Cross this one off your list of "must reads."
Rating: Summary: The first of three will help you find freedom Review: This is the first of David's massive 1,500 page trilogy (soon to become four books at 2,000 pages) that gives us the first insights of the veil of lies and deceit that have ruled us for centuries (actually, not just hundreds but thousands of years). This is a life changing book, meaning, the way you PERCEIVE life as you know it will change after reading it. This book will show you things that the education system never will, like some of our true history not filled with "patriotic" blinders. This book takes shots with no punches pulled about America's state of the nation....including the fact that America never won its freedom in the first place. We were only told we did. When in fact, America (A.K.A. The Viginia Company) is still a corporation owned and operated by someone else. Think the president of the U.S.A. makes all the decisions? Think again, the president is TOLD what to say and when to say it by these "unseen" rulers. Think the president is elected democratically by the people of the U.S.? Think again! The president is selected NOT elected. Every American should read this book...and it's not about "bashing" the country....it's about taking back our fundamental rights as outlined in the constitution that we have lazily given away.Furthermore, why would these people be doing this? What's with all the elaborate cover-ups and misdirection? This book will show you why, who, how and where.....and it names names. Read this book to find out why wars are CREATED, how the banking system really works, and how America the Corporation has become a puppet pulled by invisible strings. Is every single thing is this book absolutely true? Maybe not, but at least now you can decide for yourself!
Rating: Summary: Great book, little spaced out... Review: He does some good reserarch and tells good fact abot life and the world at large. But his theory relys on every little fact, wich makes it a little touhg to read, since you've got to stop and test the probability of every claim he makes. A agree with him thoug, with most of his opinions about the world today and how it is ruled. But this guy should almost start a church, becaus he runs around like a preacer, fighting the evil world, and claiming very out-of-line reasons for whatever misjustice that was comitted this time. Again, though, everyone should read this book. It test you to a limit you havent been pushed to before. And for this mans badmothers and downtalkers - Give it up. You are even more ridicolus than the man you are trying to blackpaint!
Rating: Summary: plain daft amnd rathere feeble minded though Review: tremendously reseached and then again he gets all long winded said anough
Rating: Summary: An enlightening and eye-opening book. Bravo, Mr. Icke! Review: I think that one of the greatest gifts any author can give us is an understanding of our world from a new perspective, even if that perspective isn't always comforting or conforms to our perception of reality. It is my opinion that David Icke has done just that in this volume, he has produced a superlatively-writen work that is both scholarly in that he corobates most of his assetions as well as one that easy to read and liberating. When I first began to read Mr. Icke's earlier works, I balked at most what he wrote, but the more I thought about it, the more some of the seemingly-diseparate elements of the world, such a religion, science, and big business, came into focus for me and I realized that perhaps they weren't as unrelated as I may have at first assumed. That there may indeed be an insideous conspiracy to deprive humanity of it's freedom and spiritual heritage. I think that the title is very apropiate, "Know the truth, and the truth will set you free." That is not to say that I think all of the contents are completely true, but there seems to me that this book has a strong sense of versimilitude, if not actual truth. I think that this volume is essential for those who cannot stomach the garbage we are inundated with on a daily basis by the elite-dominated, sensationalistic mass media. I would also recomend Charlote Iserbyte's "The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America" and Zacharia Sitchin's Earth Chronicles.
Rating: Summary: David's Own Words... Review: What makes me think that David Icke is ridiculous? His own words: "I strongly believe that a small Jewish clique which has contempt for the mass of Jewish people worked with non-Jews to create the First World War, the Russian Revolution, and the Second World War....They then dominated the Versailles Peace Conference and created the circumstances which made the Second World War inevitable. They financed Hitler to power in 1933 and made the funds available for his rearmament." -from page 130 of this book. Not Anti-Semitic? Hmmmm...
Rating: Summary: Eye opening and a jaw dropper Review: I'm usually very reluctant to give a book five stars, but the invaluable information it contains and the clear manner in which it is presented is outstanding. The information and knowledge contained within is absolutely vital for all of us to know in order to be able to realize our full genetic potential. He explains how and why our minds and lives are controled and manipulated, and by whom. If for nothing else, this makes for fascinating reading. For those of you not interested in such things, go back to sleep.
Rating: Summary: wow Review: read the first chapter quickly then take your time.
