Summary: The Absolute Best Astrology Book in the world!
Review: ...astrology is not a made-up...It is a true and accurate study that has been around for hundreds of thousands of years. I bought this book because it is 100% complete. No other one tells you so much about each sign, each day, each of the seasons, or elements, or 48 periods of the year, or any of the numerous other intriguing things you'll read in here! Every one of the 366 days takes up two entire pages and gives you your number, ruling planets, tarot card, and more. Plus there is a list of 20 celebrities born then, and some are pictured. Each day has a name that summarizes the people born on it and an interestingly symbolic black-n-white icon to go with it (for instance, I am a July 18 person, which is the day of Conviction. The icon is a folding table with a lamp on it that is giving out fire. Some of the other pictures are a little easier to figure out.) I have gotten hours and hours of enjoyment from this wonderful book with 7320 notables. My description is totally accurate, and so are those of all my friends and family members. I can't find anybody who doesn't fit their day. This book gives you health hints and ways to improve your personality. People who say no one they know fits their birthday must not know these people very well, or may not understand the descriptions, as they are written very properly. But as someone who has read several other astrology books that were less complete and not as right-on as this one, I can honestly say, it is well worth the money. Birthdays certainly do have a secret language...the celebs I know about fit their profiles to a T. Discover your birthday's hidden message in this terrific book's many, many pages!

Summary: I hope this review is helpful.
Review: June 14th. If you know me, you know I am an intelligent, hard to fool or get around person. This book impressed me right off, by describing someone I thought only I knew, me, extremely accurately. It was extremely validating for me, an extroverted person who has a hard time understanding how other people perceive me. My friend has this book, I bought the relationship one. The explanation of the weeks has helped me to love and be there for my best friend, a completely liberating experience. We now know what to stay away from to avoid emotional pain, etc . . . We both attend a rigorous honors college, and we have spent hours toiling over the ingenius of this book. Honestly, understanding people has always been my thing, now I have been compeletely eclipsed by this book. As someone who wants nothing more than to be understood and loved, Gary Goldshneider is a genius. My friend and I jokingly hoped he was born on our weeks, seeker and dance/dreamer. Take it from a genius, even if you are a logical person who hates to be told how you are, this book is intriguing. The only drawback isn't a fault of the book but of anything so accurate, it has the possibility to inhibit listening to one another, and issue which is addressed in this fairly cognizant literature. I am on to something here.

Summary: Excellent way to find out about your own &other's motivation
Review: As an Astrologer who also reads Tarot cards and has experience with everything from Gestalt to Runes to Reiki, I found that this book successfully combines many concepts, theories and ideas. The book has a page for each day of the year, and in it they seem to be able to describe your most inner motivations. For myself, and the people who I know best, it is amazingly accurate. When I haven't recognised or agreed with what they have written, I have often gone back later and found that it was, indeed, quite accurate - and I just didn't know the person well enough yet (often, they do not know themselves well enough to recognise that the book is right). If there is one downfall in the book, it is that on SOME days of the year there is not much information - meaning there may just be one theme, as unlike my own birthday, which seems to cover so many aspects of my personality. You have to read a page at least ten times to start to see the whole picture. Very stimulating. The book is easy to use and not written in astology-speak, most of my friends own a copy - great for dinner parties!

Summary: Pretty Darn Accurate
Review: Well I borrowed this book from a friend, and mine was so right on it was weird. But some others weren't, I'd say 8 out of 10. My friend trusts this book so much, he even looks up new acquaintenances to make sure they're okay. It's a pretty interesting book, interesting enough for me to buy my own to put on my coffee table.

Summary: Almost to unreal
Review: This is my only time ever writting review for any thing I just found this book to be so accurate about myself it seemed unreal to me a book could explain me. I thought it to be a cosciedence till I read into some people close to me personaly it seemed to be true so I showed them, all said the same thing dead on. if you get a chance just look through it it's amazing..

Summary: good entertainment only
Review: first of all, my friend wrote a review of this book one week before i am now. i believe he gave it 1 star. i am disappointed that i do not see his review and wonder if reviews themselves are censored. anyway, i bought this book for a different friend for the holidays. for new year's eve, a group of 6 of us read a big bunch of entries including all of our birthdays. we had to rank which one was closest to our personalities or what have you. none of us ranked the "best matched" to be our actual birthdays. for me personally, when i was read my birthday (and mind you i didn't know i was being read my birthday entry), i quickly ranked it the lowest and told my friend to stop reading and move on to a different entry. my roommate as well ranked his birthday entry the lowest to fit his character. all in all, the content is so general and/or so right and/or so way way wrong; content for a particular birthday is applicable to millions of people not even born on that day that it really is all quite silly. (or millions don't fit the description for their birthday.) but, anyhow, the book itself provided good fun while it lasted, and the authors worked hard to put it together.

Summary: Secret Language Snakeoil
Review: If you are going to buy this book, don't start by reading yourbirthday. Pick your birthday and four random dates and have a friendread them to you without telling you which date is which. Score howwell each description applies to you on a scale of 1-10 (1 lowest-10highest)

I have done this with five people so far. No one has scoredtheir birthday the highest of all descriptions read. Two have scoredtheir birthday as 1 out of 10...

It is a testament to thescientific illiteracy of our country that someone can make moneyselling this... How ironic you can buy it through your computer onAmazon in the most technologically advanced country on earth

Summary: Great Party Book
Review: I have whipped this book out at several parties and it's always a big hit. I've also brought it to teambuilding functions at work. As you read aloud, people will nod their heads in agreement. Most profiles are right on the money; the rest are way off. No one seems to mind either way. I bought mine 4 years ago. I showed it to a co-worker that just had to have it to take to a party that weekend. I gave her mine & ordered another from Amazon. I brought it out at a party recently and my best friend just couldn't put it down. I came online tonight to buy her one for her birthday. I use it solely for entertainment. (It makes me popular at parties!:-)
