Summary: Aroint thee, heretic!
Review: If this book is believable, we must look at genocidal dictators, rampaging criminals, and drunk drivers as heaven-sent servants of karmic justice. What a divine, holy, and perfect system! Apparently the human race needs an ongoing bloodbath of violent revenge to ascend (three feet above the ground, to be exact) to higher levels of vibration. I guess Jack the Ripper, Ted Bundy, and Jeffrey Dahmer achieved something good after all--their victims deserved it as punishment from misdeeds in previous incarnations. Even the industrialized slaughter during the Nazi Holocaust was necessary, spiritually speaking. Cosmic Law, don't you know.

According to Browne, Bill Bradley would win the White House in 2000. She also scowlingly predicted a Gore victory on the Montel Williams show a few days before the election. False prophecies speak for themselves.

Summary: An ego trip to fantasyland
Review: I like to think that I am a very open minded person. But this first exposure to Sylvia Brown required a leap of faith that even Superman might think twice about. Sylvia Brown is either the greatest Psychic and astral traveler that has ever walked the face of this physical plane....or is a borderline psychotic, who will go to any lengths to satisfy her ego. How anyone in their right mind can believe Ms. Brown's detailed discriptions of "the other side" is in itself a statement of one's desparate reaching out for help. Sylvia Brown received a complaint from "the other side" that her young son was spending too much time out of his body playing in the Hall of Wisdom! Then there's the story of Ms. Brown's grand-daughter, who follows them around the house (out of her body) after she has been put to bed. Oh yes Ms. Brown you are the greatest, the most gifted.....and I shall leave your books for those who will blindly follow you anywhere.

Summary: An entertaining and informative book
Review: This book is very informative and gives you a lot to think about. Sylvia briefly reminds you of some of the stories she told in her other books, but also includes new information. If you are like me, and never tire of hearing about supernatural experiences, then this book is definitely worth reading. A couple of times, Sylvia uses physics to explain some of the phenomena that occur to her and other people in everyday life. Her explanations are not overly complex, but are easy to understand for people who know little about physics. The fact that she uses physics to explain the supernatural is very significant. Recently, physicists have discovered a possible physical link between our bodies and the other side of life. By bringing physics into her discussion of the afterlife, Sylvia establishes her own credibility. If you read this book with an open mind you will be given a lot to think about, and quite possibly, learn something new. For ambitious seekers of truth, I recommend reading a book on near death experiences entitled "On the Other Side of Life," by Elsaesser Valarino, after this book.

Summary: Amazing!
Review: When I read this book it totally blew me away! Everything I have ever believed comes together in this book. The Spirituality, the Afterlife, and all the facets of this life and the "Other Side" tie into beliefs that I have had throughout my life. All areas are broken down into easy to understand segments (such as the difference between your spirit guide, angels, ghosts, etc.) Many times as I read this book I felt that so many unanswered questions were finally answered and it all fell into place so beautifully. Thank you Sylvia...you are an inspiration to us all!

Summary: Preparing for the inevitable journey
Review: This is a marvelous book for anyone looking for answers to the afterlife. If you are a non-believer, all the more reason to read this book. Not only was it thouroughly enjoyable, it was very believable and informative. I was especially pleased that she mentioned our pets, and how they are there to great us when we cross over. This book gives me goose bumps when I think about it, good goose bumps. I have shared it with several of my friends, and they all loved it. The King of non-believers is even starting to cave in. Humor interspersed with no nonsense facts, made this a book you didn't want to end, or put down.

Summary: Exceptional!
Review: Really, really, really interesting! I honestly couldn't put the book down, it answered so many questions and also confirmed thoughts I had for years. Sylvia Browne is far from being a fanatic, she's well "grounded" and speaks her mind in a way that shakes people around her. She teaches us to stop making excuses and feeling victimized, but instead to start learning and appreciating the "thoughest" ones. I definitely love her "bluntness and honesty", she doesn't want to convince anybody, she simply shares her knowledge. Therefore this book is very well writing, human and extremely witty. Worth reading it, and makes a remarkable gift!

Summary: Phenominal
Review: I started reading this book and never put it down. I just recently lost my Mother, who was my best friend and confidante. This was an extremely comforting book, and I, having a sixth sense myself, can be quite skeptical. I read this book and was able to visualize the entire book and found it to aid extremely in my healing process. It answers many questions that many of us on earth may have and deep down inside we know the answers. I find it very sad that a few of the reviews that I read even could find anything in this book unGodly or unchristian in any way, though I respect everyone's views. I just know that for me this was a very soothing eye opener, and provided a very positive and different view of our after life that we should all be open to exploring. I have also read many writings of near death experiences and this book coincides with most all of them, it just takes you on a further journey. Many thanks to Sylvia for sharing this with us....

Summary: This book, by any other author, would be called Gibberish...
Review: According to Sylvia...

Before we are born, each of us sits down, and with the help of God Himself, writes a blueprint for the life we are about to live.

Everyone must pick a primary and secondary "theme" for their upcoming life, according to whatever "lessons" their soul needs to grow into godlike "perfection."

For example, one might choose "aesthetics" to be a central theme, so that creative activities would be one's overriding desire in life. One might also be a healer, a humanitarian, a peacemaker, an intellectual, a rescuer, or...

WHOOPS! One might CHOOSE to be a victimizer or a victim...? Sylvia seriously proposes that some souls "choose" (before birth) to become thieves, rapists, terrorists, dictators, and murderers... And that other souls "'agree" (before birth) to be their victims.

Sylvia claims that these souls choose the roles of victims and victimizer for the purpose of helping the rest of us to improve our judicial system on earth. What she doesn't seem to consider is the rather obvious fact that without victimizers (ie, "criminals") the rest of us wouldn't NEED a judicial system at all! Perhaps she could use her psychic powers to tell the "Other Side" to stop sending us criminals, so that we can spend our money on something besides court costs...

Sylvia explicitly claims that God himself helps write every blueprint. Which means... that God himself helped Hitler to plan the genocide of 6 million people; God himself helped Jeffery Dahmer plan to kill and cannibalize young boys... etc, etc. QUESTION: if God himself helps criminals to plan their crimes, and their victims agree to BE victims, then what right do we have to condemn criminals at all?

Sylvia also claims that each "blueprint" includes 5 exit points at which a person might decide "I've learned enough for this incarnation," and then die conveniently. But make no mistake, the death must be an accident, illness or murder. It's OK for a soul to plan (before birth) to die in a car accident at 9 years old, or to succumb to cancer at 29, or to be murdered at 42... But, Sylvia warns, don't you DARE commit suicide or you'll be punished in your next life! In other words, it's OK to "plan" your death, as long as you aren't expecting it when it happens... It's OK to kill yourself, but don't you DARE commit suicide!

While claiming to be an exponent of common sense and "logic," Ms. Browne makes no effort to resolve her own blatantly absurd contradictions. In fact, she doesn't even seem to be AWARE of how little sense she makes.

If you're determined to reject Christianity, at least read the Bible first. (Don't take Sylvia's word for it). And if you're determined to embrace paganism, find a more intelligent source.

And if you're determined to be a pagan, at least have the "chutzpah" to call yourself one, instead of pretending to be a "christian".
