Summary: The book is so full of useful information
Review: Sylvia Brown writes as if she is talking to you on a one to one basis. The book is full of so many useful tips on how to get in touch with yourself and others on the other side

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: informative, nothing too eye-opening
Review: I read Sylvia's first book, and felt it was much more interesting. I have seen Sylvia on Montel and also had a personal reading with her. How accurate is she? Fiarly so, but if you are looking for solid proof from anyone else about evidence of the afterlife, you won't find it! Look within yourself, and always question and think. Sylvia has wonderful things to say, but some of it is more autobiographical than anything else. I think she has helped give many people some needed guidance and closure, but should not be considered a absolute word on the afterlife or psychic experience, for that matter. Rosemary Altea and John Edwards are wonderful also. Check out their books, I recommend them. Good luck on your journey.

Summary: Interesting, entertaining and insightful
Review: I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book! Sylvia is funny, thoughtful and instructive all at the same time. She shares insights that SHOULD be self-evident. I found myself slapping my forehead and saying "of course!" several times! Buy the book! It's a keeper!

Summary: Inspirational
Review: I admire Sylvia's integrity, she doesn't seem to be in this field to expand her pocketbook. Her books seem to be honest and sincere. I have a great respect for Sylvia and have enjoyed all of her books. It takes an open mind to grasp the message in her books, I for one agree with her philosophies. I do have to admit "The Other Side and Back" was a little redundant, but still offered a lot of new info. I will put it on the shelf with my other favorites...Raymond Moody's new book, "The Last Laugh," is pretty interesting so far...take a look at if you get a chance.

Summary: FUN and Insightful
Review: I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It helped me to understand my intuition and psychic ability better. She has a nice and light way of talking about it that was refreshing. And helped me understand both spiritual and down to earth things that were useful to me.

Another great new book I just read is Working On Yourself Doesn't Work by Ariel & Shya Kane. The book is about Personal Growth and Happiness. I.E. Having It All! But the authors are very amazing people - the most loving couple I have ever met - I did a seminar with them about INTUITION and Amazing Psychic experiences happened for me and everyone in the class. The Book is very fun and easy to read - but very profound insights too. I loved it...

Summary: AWSOME JUST AWSOME
Review: I got this book cause I saw her on Montel and she seemed very nice I felt it would help me understand why I am here and my purpose on this earth. And trust me it has it has given me new insight to the beyond life and how to accept it and how children see things we don't as adults . My children see things and they talk all the time I had them to doctors and they said there was nothing wrong with them now I as a parent understand what is really going on in there little minds

Summary: poorly written
Review: I personally thought Sylvia's first book "Adventures of a psychic" was far better written than her newest book. I was disappointed that this book didn't truly reflect the title's theme. Very little was written on angels and spirit guides, and only 1 page for tapping your psychic powers. I found it had more commonsensical advice which anyone could find in one of the "Chicken soup for the soul" books. In comparison to other authors and psychics such as George Edward and George Anderson, I believe their books are a better reflection of the other side. I consider myself a fan of Sylvia Browne's and I will continue to read her books, I just hope the next one is more reflective of the title.

Summary: Fascinating, uncomplicated, fun, and helpful!
Review: What a fun, helpful, and fascinating book. I've seen Sylvia inperson, on TV, and in print. Her gifts are amazing, and so is thisbook. Finally, a treatment about our spiritual natures that doesn't take itself so seriously, while at the same time offering credible, useful, and accessible information. Not since Edgar Cayce has a psychic offered us such practical and thought provoking insights. Encore!

Summary: An interesting book
Review: With this book Sylvia Browne has written an interesting account, not so much as a psychic, but rather as someone who wants to communicate her life's philosophy. Many things in this book sound very good, but are speculative, even though these things are intriguing. I personally like books that deal head on with a subject and that are objective. One book that I recommend highly and has helped me a lot, and also deals with the reality of the supernatural reality like angels, but also provides concrete suggestions for where to find truth and healing for the soul, and offers practical advice for all kinds of life situations, is Dietmar Scherf's "I Love Me: Avoiding and Overcoming Depression"--also available at Amazon.
