Summary: An Eyeopener!
Review: I loved this book! It really opened my eyes to life, death, and everywhere in between. Questions regarding life, death, ghosts, afterlife, reincarnations, and more are finally put to rest. This book brings forth an unseen world that is discernible through the eyes of Sylvia Browne. Supplemented by her own true life events and miracles within her life there is a truth that can't be denied.This book has touched my heart and soul with every emotion. I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone no matter what your beleifs are. Spiritually refreshing!

Summary: This book helped me to understand my Mother!
Review: Sylvia's book opened up my eyes to why I have a very negative Mother. She is a dark entity and Sylvia says that we come here to learn and overcome negativity. Now I know why I picked my Mother! This book helped me figure out why we are here on this earth. I still would love to know my purpose in life and what my chart is but only the rich can afford to get a reading from Sylvia and since my husbands sudden death,I live on little. I would love to meet Sylvia in person. She is the most fancinating person I have ever seen (On Montel Williams) I get goose bumps watching her on TV. This book of hers was impossible for me to put down until I finished it. Thank you Sylvia for a GREAT BOOK!

Summary: Audio Cassette version not the same as Book . . .
Review: I highly recommend the book, "The Other Side and Back" by Sylvia Browne, but can't say the same for the audio cassette edition. A LOT is missing in the audio version; I found one section where 10 complete pages were omitted. Also, there is not a single one of the 'exercises' in the audio version. A severe omission in my opinion. After reading the book, I purchased the audio version for a friend who is blind. I was surprised when in a conversation a few weeks after giving my friend the audio 'book', he did not share my enthusiasm for it. One of his biggest critiques was the lack of continuity of the 'book'. I did not understand that at all, and asked if I could borrow the cassettes to listen to. After listening for about a half hour, I too felt a lack of continuity in the book. I then tried to follow the book as the cassette played, but it was next to impossible. The changes and omissions are that great; such a shame. (By the way, I have since read the entire book to my friend. He now appreciates and shares my enthusiasm for the book - the hardcover that is!) BUYER BEWARE - The audio version is NOT the same.

Summary: Misleading, self serving, repetative throughout
Review: Having experienced tremendous grief at the sudden death of my 21 yr. old son in 1993 and believing in the after life, I reached out to Ms. Brown and other well known people in this field. She continuously states how she just wants to help people, but looking back she wouldn't even speak with me without a hugh payment for 1 hr. of her time irregardless of my grief. I find it hard to have much faith in someone who benefits by the grief of others. The book repeats itself over and over only changing a few words here and there. I would NEVER buy it again or recommend it.

Summary: The greatest book I ever read on life and death.
Review: Sylvia's book is the most informative, soul satisfying account of what life and death is all about I've ever read. I've read many. My life is positively changed for the better because of it. I feel if life and death is not exactly how Sylvia describes it it really ought to be. True or not, if believed Sylvia's concept is one that contributes greatly toeach ones sense of self esteem, security and universal brotherhood (earthly and heavenly).The negative reviews of this book intrigue me because the authorsof them can be described as your realistic people who are in actuality just pessimistic. They are only willing to accept something if it is "dark and bleak" as opposed to Sylvia's "hopeful and wonderful".Sylvia you have made a monumental contribution to the world and you have my immense gratitude.

Summary: Spiritually Uplifting
Review: I bought this book shortly before my mom passed away, it was so comforting too find out that we have a wonderful place too go home too, and that we can still visit our loved ones anytime we need to. I would highly recommend this book to any person who also has gone through a tragedy like mine it really helps.

Review: Does Sylvia Browne have a backkground in Einstein's relativity? Or the most recent advances in quantum physics and the Super String Theory? (The latter indicates some ten additional dimensions in addition to our three plus Time/Space, the 4th). In any case, "The Other Side and Back" points to the only way possible for survival after our mortal earthly death. Experimental physics has not yet proved String Theory but most physicists now seem to embrace it.

Summary: Definately a life changer!
Review: I can say no less than EXTRAORDINARY! After reading the current 60 reviews, I feel a close bond to all those who recieved the same spiritual satisfaction from this book as I have. I am disgusted with those that think there is no proof, that it is a fairy tale, or just a way for Sylvia Browne to load her pockets. Prior to reading this book, I was pretty much a "non-believer" mostly because the information I've been taught never made sense, and certainly didn't seem realistic! Sylvia explains everything in a manner that makes perfect sense, and therefore gives you reason to believe in "The Other Side". I also saw her on Montel once, and was never able to forget it. I was in the bookstore, not even looking in the "Spiritual" section, and this book caught my eye. I found myself lured to it, and unable to put it down. Within 20min's I got a world of information and knew I had to buy it. Once owning it, I also was unable to put it down! (And I'm not thrilled about reading lengthy books!) This book has truly changed my life! I think of myself, and am learning to think of other's as Spirit's on a mission, rather than simple human beings. It's this simple: IT MAKES SENSE! If you are searching for "more" in your life-this is a must-read! It's definately one to give as a gift to those you love! I can go on and on.. but read all 60 (now 61) reviews, and you'll get the drift! Thank You Sylvia! Wouldn't I love to spend a day with you!
