Rating: Summary: Freeing yourself from the illusion Review: David Icke is one of the most controversial "conspiracy theorists" in the world. He has both a dedicated following and some influential enemies who do their best to silence him. Some criticize him for not being original. True, most of his ideas can be found elsewhere, but he has an exceptional ability to synthesize theories and explain them in an easy to understand and entertaining style. He also draws a lot from contemporary culture, especially movies, as with his use of the term "matrix" to describe our current state. This is not a bad thing; Icke believes (and I agree) that films like The Matrix series are not simply entertainment, but contain actual information about the world we live in, or the world we believe we live in. This, in fact, is his main message: that virtually everything we have been taught to believe by mainstream society is false. Governments, the media, big business, mainstream medicine, education and so forth, all promote an agenda designed to keep us deceived and enslaved. Some of the most controversial material in his books are the "reptilians." In this book, he integrates this theory with the idea of a holographic universe. Again, this is not an original theory (the holographic theory was popularized by Michael Talbot, who Icke quotes at length here), but one well worth introducing to more people. In a later section, he describes his mystical experiences after taking ayahuasca, a hallucinogenic plant used in the Amazon. He describes what a voice, which identifies itself as the Infinite, tells him --that we are caught in this illusory "time loop" and that the only reality is Oneness or infinite love. Now this is pretty much what mystics have always said, but, again, Icke explains it very well (whether you believe he is giving a literal account of a genuine experience or telling us what the voice of the Infinite might say). If I have any criticism of the book (and Icke's style in general), it is that he spends at least 90% of the book telling us about all the lies, brutality and deception (the sections on the US war against Iraq are especially depressing and graphic) and the other 10% telling us how it's all an illusion. Even though he concludes by saying we should neither fear nor hate those who are deceiving us, the sheer quantity of evil deeds he exposes makes it difficult to walk away with a positive outlook. I would like to see him shift his emphasis a little more in the direction of the mysticism he clearly embraces and give a little less attention to all the darkness. Not that we should deny the darkness, but once you know it's there, it becomes redundant to identify every form it takes. If you really want to understand what lies behind the apparent reality of events, you should read this book.

Rating: Summary: Conspiracy or Conspirators - Excellent Read! Review: David Icke is without a doubt brilliant and an excellent researcher. This book is a great read and highly recommended. Many past conspiracies from William Randolph Hearst starting a war for newspaper sales, to the Lincoln assissination conspiracy, to the admitted conspiracy and lies about Vietnam (read McNamara and Gen. Westmorland scandals. And the current lies about WMD (Weapons of Mass Distruction) in Iraq for Bush's Oil Wars. Arm yourself with the truth and facts!Having read the TOP Four books in the UFO/Alien/ Government Coverup Genre; My FAVORITE is 'Alien Rapture' by Brad Steiger (Great science-faction-soon to be a movie); and Alien Agenda by the best selling author of 'Crossfire' Jim Marrs (Best reference on UFOlogy); and Unconventional Flying Objects (NASA UFO Investigator for 30 years) by the scientist Dr. Paul Hill, and the 12th Planet by Sitchin. If you read this excellent book and the others, you will know that they are indeed true. Two well respected American Astronauts have come forward to proclaim they had seen evidence of the Roswell UFO crash and stated they know the cover-up is real. Many books have been written about the Catholic church's cover-up of ancient manuscripts. Conspiracies have been proven. You be the judge.
Rating: Summary: This is it, kids. Review: David Icke should consider writing comedy ["Reptilian Aliens from the 4th dimension taking over earth (HaHaHaHa)"]. In the first couple of chapters in skimming through Icke's book its apparent that icke is just another washed up soccer player who vents his frustration against the government. Likewise, Icke's anger and insanity doesnt stop here. He invents this whole story of travelling to brazil in order to take this mystical herb and magically he becomes aware of different planes of existence. Unfortunately, he's able to draw simple analogies to his experience from modern day quackery hollywood movies such as 'The Matrix'. The funny thing with people like Icke is their ability produce luaghable theories that aren't applicable in real life. For example: If Icke seriously believes that 'life' is just an 'illusion' why doesnt he kill himself ? Nevertheless, such loonies as Icke will never be taken serious by real researchers !!!!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: The most important book ever written.... if you're ready Review: For those who have chosen to take the proverbial red pill, look no further. If you are truly ready for this information, this is the only volume you will ever need. The veil is lifting. Regardless of the desparate and relentless efforts of the unseen hand to suppress the ascension of our spiritual conciousness, the infinite will prevail. This is all the proof and assurance you will ever need. You may want to do some other research before you get to this one though. It will not be helpful if you are not ready for it.
Rating: Summary: Good read, most facts, indeed, are verifiable. Review: Good reading, Icke is hot on the trail - get the word out! One of the 10 best books I've ever read - and I read a lot...
Rating: Summary: Break F r e e Review: I am glad that David Icke starts off this book by giving a good synopsis of his other books, which helps new readers tie together all his complex, yet easy to follow theories. If you 'enjoy' reading about all the different conspiracy theories that govern this world, then you will find this to be quite an enlightening read as Icke weaves all the different conspiracy theories together in a very easy to understand, well researched book, as frightening as it may be at times. His writing style is quite honest and open, and at times you may find it even a bit crude for your taste. His sources of information are easy to find at the end of each chapter, with a good bibliography and index at the end of the book. This book will leave you feeling hopeless and sick at times, due to the depth he goes to show the deceit in the people that govern this world. No matter where you are in life or what you believe, this book will definitely make you re-examine yourself and the world around you with a much different outlook. Icke does offer some solutions to the world's problems but not as in depth as I would have liked to see. His research exposes how governments, religions, media, and UFO's all blend together in a Matrix of deceit, that is ruled by a very small percentage of the worlds population, which is fast turning us (or already has) into a Orwellian society that we thought could never happen, to us the free. This book is probably the best there is on bringing all conspiracy theories together, but as any book it is not the final word on any subject. If you're a well read person with an open mind you will find that a few of his theories still need a bit of work, but otherwise I would highly recommend that everyone read this book no matter how much it may go against what they believe is the truth. As the book states, our inability to question our own motives or anyone else's is truly alarming, so I think a word of caution is needed, because lots of the information in the book is theories which never can become real to you unless you do what is needed to prove them to yourself. Enjoy the book. Enjoy the challenge of breaking free from the Time Loop.
Rating: Summary: His other books are great, but this is The One, The Gift Review: I began reading the Icke books years ago and have to admit that some of the information sounded way too far out there for me to grasp. But over the years and after a bit of maturing, I finally realized that my definition of what Life is was not necessarily the correct one. There is a beauty to Life that fills one's heart with a joy beyond definition. David Icke has this joy. But, in Icke's quest to present all of the truth (and sometimes the truth is not pretty) he also reveals the horrors of this life, the things that hurt our senses. I don't like reading about the horrors, yet something in me says that what Icke is stating is true. If we want to understand what's going on in this world, we have to be able to accept the whole truth. The first half of this newest book contains a synopsis of many of his other books (so one doesn't have to read all of them in order to "catch up"), but the second half is the most beautiful, magnificent testimony of love and hope that I have ever had the privilege to read. The world is in a very bad way right now and we all know it. Icke explains what happened and how all of us have to pull together in order to return "reality" to its true state of awesome potential. In place of hatred, denial, and bitterness over what's going on in this world, replace that with love for our fellow humans. In place of resentment over what world leaders are doing to our "home" with their ignorant arrogance, let our minds, hearts, and bodies resonate with the power of love - true, compassionate, honest, down-to-earth, beautiful love and perhaps that love will create a new kind of world, one based on kinship with our fellow human beings. One has to read this book with an open mind and heart and then will realize that Icke's words are true. Scientists know that the world is not a conglomeration of separate life-forms desperately trying to survive (as world leaders want us to believe). We are all One; all of Life is One. The current world system promotes feeling separated, alone, and isolated (what a bad feeling that is). Scientists know though, that everything in our experience is part of One Life, One Love, One Gift. We humans all possess the same Universal elements and are very much alike. The only thing that creates differences is our beliefs and thoughts (and how much of the world system nonsense we choose to believe). Peace and love to all of you, and especially to David Icke who is a courageous, warm, loving human being who truly cares for his fellow humans. Thanks, David, you really did a beautiful job.
Rating: Summary: Ickes best book!!!! Review: I first became introduced to David Ickes work about 3 years ago and have since bought all of his books. Although I still think that the old boy just rehashes alot of material from his other books, there are several things about this book that sets it apart from the others. One is his story about his experience with psychedelics which causes him to experience the true depths of the "Matrix". I am very impressed by much of what he says about this and think that he is really on to something with this. This section is a MUST READ. The other is a little statement he makes about how the BANKRUPTCY of the UNITED STATES has been in effect since 1933 and that this country is really only acting under EMERGENCY WAR POWERS TO STAY IN EFFECT AND PAY THE BANKRUPTCY. This would certainly explain why we have been in some sort of conflict since World War 2. I did an internet search and apparently this is in the governmemt record that this has indeed taken place. Did you know this? I sure as hell didn't. I don't see alot being said about this part of the book and I have also sent emails to people I would consider "in the know" about this and NOBODY will touch it. It's definitely a hot potatoe. Check into it and see what you come up with.So with that bit of info, I would strongly suggest that you get what is probably Ickes best book in years.
Rating: Summary: Tales from the Time Loop - The world as it really is Review: I first started reading David Icke's work after I read a review of "The Biggest Secret". The article mentioned the Windsors-Reptilian link and of course I had to read it before it was banned. I was certain the Royals would slap an injunction on it and it would never again see the light of day. Before that, I considered David Icke just another 'New Age Guru' trying to save the world. Now I know better. As I read "Biggest Secret", I was to discover that the whole conspiracy was a lot more than just that spoken of in the article. The book was fascinating, and David's exceptional research supplied evidence for everything he included within its pages. Tales from the Time Loop is even better. Excellent research, with the whole conspiracy and its history laid out in an easy-to understand manner. Plus, of course, David's own humourous take on life. But this book is more - it goes deeper into what he calls 'The Time Loop': The part the Illuminati and the Reptilians play, the corruption in the Catholic Church, the New World Order and how we can break free from their control and return to where we belong. David Icke is easily one of the most enlightened people on the world and I for one, owe him a debt of gratitude for showing me what the world is really like.
