Summary: This was uplifting, inspiring, and wonderful
Review: This book was actually given to me by a friend of my dad's friend from Barnes and Nobles. I hadn't really thought much about the book because it was the first book I had from the adult's section. Then, tonight, I started this story about a young shepard who only wanted to follow his dream. It was the most uplifting yet simple story I have ever read.

Summary: Just great!
Review: This is the only book I have read for 3 times (I hope I'll read it more), and with every next time I discovered something new.. and with every next time it takes me longer to read it!
One thing that excites me a lot, are those little but very impressive phrases that makes You think about life, the meaning of it, and about yourself. Following Your dream has never been an easy goal, but only with great courage and will You can achieve it. And during this way You start to recognize the meaning of the things and people You love.
This book helped me to realize who am I, who are those people I really love, but to whom I have never told that, and of course - what is my dream. I don't say, that I will follow my dream as the main hero of the book did, but one is for sure - I'll look to this dream with more different and serious view!
I really suggest everybody to read this book and discover that the dream could lead You through the life no matter either You achieve Your goal or not!

Summary: I can do it!
Review: This is the rarest work of fiction - simple enough for the grade-school reader yet deep enough to crack a heart of stone. Upon finishing this tale of travel, travail, and triumph, one will drop the book and rush to that dream often considered yet never begun. Inspiring and emotionally uplifting, I recommend most highly this unparalled work of imaginative beauty.

Summary: This Should Be Required Reading
Review: This should be required reading for all high school freshmen. And, it you're beyond being a high school freshman, READ IT NOW! Its beauty is in its simplicity, and isn't true happiness just that???

Summary: A Timeless Tale for All Ages
Review: What a great, simple, and beautiful story. Although it's quick reading, you'll want to pick it back up time after time. That's why I recommend the hardcover. This hardcover copy is beautiful and worth getting. The illustrations are as beautiful as the story!

Summary: Wonderful fable
Review: When a friend suggested that I read the Alchemist by Coelho, I was not interested in fables and was a little biased from the start BUT as I read the book, chapter by chapter, Coelho opened up more of my life than I realized, Coelho masterfully allows you to merge with the story - a story full of searching and of questioning things and the actions of ourselves and others. I found this book to be beautifully illustrated, full of meaning and guidance for today's hectic world. Coelho, even writing about tragic incidents, opens your eyes to the wonder that surrounds us. A wonderful read as are all his books.

Summary: This book was a true mind killer
Review: You know how teachers at school are supposed to make you want to read but instead 90 percent out of a 100 they give you drop dead boring books. And then they give me this book and I thought to myself what the heck are they doing are they really trying to make us hate reading I mean for gods sake this book was a real true piece of boring literature. So what if its about a shepard trying to find his treasure at least from that you could make it some what exciting but no he goes and kills it. Although he did point out some good themes this book was still pointless. I dont know one person who has read this book and enjoyed it.
