Summary: It reinforced all my feelings.
Review: I had heard of this book through friends that have read it and followed its teachings, and when I bought it, I knew why they revered it as they did. It teaches you not to be afraid to indulge in life's pleasures. If god didn't want you to enjoy them, he shouldn't have created them. Anton's artwork, though, got me into a bit of trouble at school. I was reading during my lunch period and had it ripped from my hands by some self-righteous christian teacher. They said they took it because it was not needed material for lunch. !!!BULL@$*#!!! I told him that he would either have to give me ack my book, or that he would have to take the bible out of every christian's hand, that chooses to carry one in school. That shut them up.

Summary: THE TRUTH
Review: I borrowed this book from a friend of mine that is more into satanism
than I am. At first I was skeptical, and thought it was just going to
be filled with spells and withchcraft and had a sterotype in my head
of what the relegion was all about. After I was finished with the first
2 chapters I found myself agreeing with every thing that it was saying
It is a must read for all of those who are tired of being told that if you
take in any of earths "pleasures" that you will be condemned.
To me LaVey is the greatest philosopher of our time.

Review: The Quote above is from Boyd Rice of NON, it is not from the Satanic Bible. The Satanic Bible should be considered more than a book, it should be considered a work of art. It is true to its word, and no one other than Anton Szandor Lavey could tackle such a fierce beast, and come out on top. Anyways, this masterpiece is excellent, and should be read by everyone. The Church has coincided too much with Government, and it's now corrupt, so open up your mind and go your own way.

Summary: For those who loathe dogma......Enter Satan
Review: The Satanic Bible aggresively addresses the inevitable frustration experienced when people repeatedly suffer, "You're gonna burn you sinner" for innocently thinking of, um.. hmm... i dun know..pleasure? The reason I gave the book a nine, instead of a ten, is that Lavey was a bit harsh on Wiccans. Considering the book eloquently and fervently reinforces the idea, "To each his own" and stresses how christianity rapes us of that freedom, his harsh condemnation of Wicca is utterly hypocritical. The Satanic Bible, however, remains one of my most treasured pieces of literature.The actual reading of the book becomes quite cathartic.

Review: The Satanic Bible is a very good book. Though some times it gets into Christian bashing and doesn't focus on other false white light religous as much as I would have liked to see. But still Dr. Anton Lavey does a great job getting his point across with facts and truths, not the lies the Christain America would like you to beleive he is telling.

Summary: Not for Everyone
Review: The Satanic Bible, when approached in the right mood, can and will permanently change the way you look at things. It is written in a logical, informative, and generally enlightening format that is focused on bringing the best out of your self instead of focusing on another being. Satanism is a self-improvement religion. It focuses more on the self than on another being. That is what is so well explained in The Satanic Bible. After reading it, I incorporated many of the ideas in the book into my own philosophy and have found wonderful results. R.I.P. Anton LaVey. However, Satanism is not for everyone. Those who are closely dependant on their religion will find no pleasure from reading the book- LaVey talks some pretty mean trash about Christianity. In general, it is still a good read and I recommend it for anyone who finds nothing attractive about the 'right hand path.'
