Summary: Enlightening
Review: I read the Satanic Bilbe in high school and found it to be a lot more truthful than the Christian Bible. You have to have an open mind to even understand what LaVey is saying. A lot of people don't realize that they live the way of a satanist everyday, according to Anton. He distinguishes the difference between Satanism and Devil Worshipping. I liked the book so much that I high-lighted certain passages. To this day my friends still think I perform sacrifices.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Concise, revealing and informative
Review: LaVey effectively covers the tenets of Satanism, disspelling any myths as to what Satanism has been concieved of for so many thousands of years. A must-read for anyone looking to shed some light on what Satanism really is.

Summary: If you need to find yourself, you are here...
Review: Anton Szander Lavey created a brilliant masterpiece when he wrote The Satanic Bible. Before the time of this books initial publication (1966), few people had ever touched on the subject of Satanism as a full-fledged religion. Of course, there was Crowley, but this wasn't exactly Satanism - it was mereley a misunderstood concept called Satanic by the masses. However, The Satanic Bible touches on the TRUE issues of Satanism and sheds light on the REAL subculture, not the assinine people slaughtering animals, each other and desecrating gravesites. Once you read this book, you will discover a new meaning behind the title "Satanist" and it will forever change your outlook on what the term means. I have been a Satanist for more than 12 years, and have reffered hundreds of people to Anton's literature.

Summary: The best of modern Satanism from the man who invented it
Review: I read this book as a curious skeptic, and athiest. But from the urging of some of my Satanic friends, I managed to locate a copy and read it. It changed my life. This is the book to read for ANYONE who has ever questioned Christan values. If you are one of those many people then READ THIS BOOK!!!

Summary: The Satanic Bible, GIVE ME A BREAK!
Review: This is a cheep thought to what satanism really is. LaVey is nothing but a theif. He stole and basterdized many other works of liturature. his pathetic nine satanic statements were actually stolen from Ayn Rand. He used and abused Redbeard's Might is Right, and half the freakin book is stolen from the Enochian Keys of Aleister Crowley. His puney idea of what satanism really is, is nothing but a hoax. He knew that all you "deprived" children would follow his idiotic and moronic idea of the devil if he labled it satanism. Do you Marilyn Mason listeners actually believe that real satanism is not evil and that the devil is not evil? GIVE ME A BREAK! Stop believing Lavey's stupid lie. If you wan't to be a true satanist look elsewere. DON'T GIVE LAVEY THE SATISFATION!!!!!!!! He wants you people to beleive his lie.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A genious piece of work
Review: Finally some one dares to explain the truth about satanism and satanic rituals. I for one applaud the work of Mr. Lavey. A MUST READ for any satanist or for some one who is open-minded and wants to understand modern and traditional satanism.

Summary: not all this book is true, but a good portion of it is
Review: this book is good but, lavey doesn't have a good knowledge of god. Some of the things that lavey doesn't understand about god I can explain and I hate going to church. It's a good book that explains paganism very well.If it talks about manmade religions being bad, isn't laveyan satanism a man-made religion as well. It's just a really good book, but things are misunderstood. it has had an impact on my life. I think it is a good book. I understand it as much as I understand the christian bible.

Summary: Contrasting Satanism and Witchcraft/Wicca
Review: The Satanic Bible is definitely one of the best sources on the religion. But if disturbs me that so many people mix it up with wicca and witchcraft. I have read about those things and they don't even believe in Satan. I really don't see why people always assume that. If anyone is going to judge this book wrongly then they must be misinformed. I think if you are being critical then read this book you will understand. And please people, get your facts straight!

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Boring, silly nonsense
Review: Lavey gives a bold paean to hedonism (sort of an Ayn Rand without the production of anything actually useful), but that's hardly an honest exegesis of Satanism. Until Lavey is willing to state one of the key elements of Satanism--enjoyment of and search for pain and destruction--he will only be a weak sister to the real thing.

And to all you wanna-be tough acne-faced adolescents looking for meaning, who think that by reading this book you might actually find something to guide your rudderless lives, better to study Satre or Kierkkegard, to understand what true existentialism is.

Summary: Ahh... a distinction between Satanism and devil worship...
Review: This book is wonderful! A definite read for any occultist or Satanist! It clearly distinguishes the difference between Satanism and Devil worship, and puts to shame all the rumors of child molestation and drug/sex orgies. Those who wish to know the TRUTH... then READ!
