Review: I have read The Satanic Bible from cover to cover at least twenty times. Dr. Levay was able to bring forth the knowledge that people needed to know about Satanism, so that it could be seen as not evil, but as a religion, a religion unlike any other.The Satanic Bible gives an in-depth look into Satanism, and tells exactly what it is about, and what they wish to accomplish.

Review: this book has it all it offers detailed information on satanism i'm a satanist and LaVey is an amazing man [rip] it tells the truths about satanism and is a book that i reccomend to anyone wanting to know more.it helps you to discover yourself and live the life you wan't to live 5 stars all the way.

Summary: clever, yet so poor
Review: The only reason I can consciously review this book as having any merit is for the fact that LaVey was a very clever, witty, and frighteningly charasmatic figure. Plus the fact that a book giving such a poorly thought out philosophy could manipulate thousands of weak minds into near worship of the author, which is, I suggest, all LaVey wanted.
Instead of going to one extreme of Roman Catholic-stereotypes of Christianity as a mind-washing, dominating relgion, LaVey simply suggests the reader go to the other extreme of a state of mind-washing one's own self. The whole thing is certainly very appealing to the teenage audience at which it is aimed. But the whole philosophy of being one's own God is too self-orientated for a society-based organism. One can not have a life worth living if all one ever considers is one's self. It's all just a giant rebellion no better than that which it is going against.
Of course, I think LaVey knew all this. Yet he continued to live only for himself, which is why, with the exception of a pathetic minority, the world will remember LaVey mainly as the guy who dressed up in a devil suit and appeared in Rosemary's Baby for all of five minutes. He built himself around Hollywood, not a thousand or so dedicated followers who meant nothing to him except his next paycheck.

Summary: Not a cheap way to blasphmeme
Review: This book, as many of my fellow school friends expected is not blasphmy is a book! It gives an out look on a spirtual life of a man that has lived in a time where man uses God as a way to clear their conscence of all sin. You need to read this from front to back to fully apreciate this mans intelligence! I'm only 14 and my mind has expanded!

Summary: Has it's good points...
Review: I found this book to be quite intriging (parts, anyway) but although Mr. Lavey may have a point in pointing out the deception of christianity, yet fails to point out his own deceptions. We as a human race are ignorant to fall into any form of beleif be it satanism, atheism, or christianity. Pretending to know what one could not possibly know is simply a facade to make one appear as if they know more than they really do.

Review: ive read some of laveys other books, they were alright but anton must of been off the rocker when he wrote this book.human sacrifices,spells, nutzo!there is some good points to this book,but i would reccomend reading satan speaks or the devils notebook before reading this.

Review: Anton LaVey lays it all out here. NO..... not baby & animal killings, but common sense. Alot of my friends have read this just to please me & they have told me it is nothing like they expected! You will be amazed how close to your own thoughts this book is. Well unless you like being controlled by preachers & lies! I like this last review about making excuses not to be Xtian.. whats that all about?? I am a Satanist & I have never been told to FEAR my GOD!! How many Xtians can say that......????? Anton LaVey took parts of this book from other books. Buy this, read it, then hunt down Might is Right!!!! Then try thinking for yourself!!!

Review: It made life seem so miserable, I think that the real bible is much more interesting, based on the fact that it is true. This bible is so full of crap, that I have never read so much crap in my life.
