Summary: To the one who claims to be Anton La Vey
Review: You wrote your review, supposedly from Anton himself, on April 12, 1999. First of all, if you are Anton La Vey, why did you spell your name "Levey?" Apparently death has had it's effect on you--if you paid any attention, you might realize Anton La Vey died well over a year ago--I was unhappy. He was the only religious leader I knew I could trust. He was out to get money and have fun and he said so. I believe everyone who claims this book is bad is only disappointed due to the lack of stereotypical satanic activities (sacrifices, possessions, i.e. The Exorcist and Rosemary's Baby).

Summary: An amalgam of insight into every person's hidden desires!
Review: As an official Grotto Master of the Church of Satan, one might expect me to review this book. Honestly, I had my reservations. Why would any sane or logical person accept a belief system such as Satanism solely on my opinion? "The Satanic Bible" exemplifies all that is truly Satanic. Dr. LaVey codified something that numerous people never had the nerve to do. He gave it a name--Satanism. Anton LaVey stepped forward in 1966 to announce his allegiance with the forces of Darkness--those untrodden forces in his own psyche. Thus he delineated those forces in this book. "The Satanic Bible" not only explains the religion, but it challenges each of us to accept the Dreaded Name, to no longer be guilded by the glamour of the white light religiositers, and to no longer be ashamed of who we are. I encourage all people, Satanists or not, to read the book. Can anyone say that they do not want to better themselves or better understand why they do what they do? No. This book answers questions people have always had, but were too afraid to ask. Seek and ye shall find. Knowledge is power. Enrich your life as so many before you have done--buy the book. Read it and learn who you are. HAIL SATAN!

Summary: It is all just an illusion......or is it?
Review: It is funny to me .... that people condem something without taking anytime to sit down, with an open mind, and experience something that is a bit different without casting their stones. I am not a satanist, or a christian. If you have to label me label me agnostic.If people took a few minutes from there servant lives and tried to experience life , from both sides then the world would be more understanding. The overall idea is give something a chance like this book....take what you need and move on.

Review: La Vey's Satanic Bible is a very interesting book that teahes you a lot about Satanism and how its not the worship of satan itself, but the worship of yourself. I love it!

Review: I looked at this book and thought it was all made up. I think Anton worked the paper press him self to make this book that is how screwed up this book is. Hell, when I looked on the bookshelf every satanic bible was a different SIZE.

Review: I hav read this book three or four times and it is really a very good book. It helps you to understand what being a true Satanist is about. I would suggest this book to anyone that is not sure about what being a Satanist is about. I am proud to call myself a Satanist.

Review: Zandor LaVey, interesting caracter, he did helped me realized that we sin everyday, and even Christians sin everyday, wether they like to accept it or NOT!!! I liked the book, it was interesting, thought, I didn't agree to follow satanism, all of us need boundries and limits, so we can be challenged, and a close minded person shouldn't read it (he/she will get confused). It made a little bit of sence, but still it's a little boring. All of ya' who say satanism is evil, should read it, to see what satanism is all about... (sex, indulgence and obtainig what u want by magic) Still to warn ya' people i know had experienced, and realized that they didn't controled the demons, they controled them, and for letting them control them, they gave them what it is called: power, magick, black magick, etc. Satanism is a mock to christianity, by evoking demons...

Summary: A unique piece of Americana
Review: If you haven't read it, read it. After this book came out, Satanism was never the same. This is a piece of history and thus is beautiful. Now LaVey's SATANISM is SATANISM. "Dualism is alive, long live the other side of the coin" etc. etc.... Whether you're the cowboy wearing the black hat or not, you should read this book for the mere fact that it is printed, published, and on shelves across the U.S. of A.

Review: You know how people always say that Satanism is bad, even though it not at all that? Do you know who those people are? They are Christians! Who is the evil, brain washing one now? If you aren't Christian, and you still think Satanism is bad, well you can consider yourself Christian because it is them who have led you to believe that Satanism is evil, people should have their own choice about religion, and not right away be exposed to the ways, or beliefs of one, and told that that is the way things are supposed to be!!! this book basically explains Satanism and I really think more people should read it, it tells you what Satanism actually is. If, right now you're contemplating weather or not to buy this book, do, it will make you think so much more. If you're saying to yourself "oh well those other people said it was bad, maybe i shouldn't read it" well then think about this: those are people who thought Satanism was bad and after reading the book, refused to realize that they were wrong about it!!!
