Rating: Summary: The one book that just everybody shoud have read Review: Despite its provocative title, this book holds merely just one thing: the truth. What more should (or could, for that reason) be said about it? But you can take for granted, that's just what most of the dumb fools hold against it ... 'cause they realize in their worst nightmares that what is said in this book might really be the truth!
Rating: Summary: LaVey masterpiece Review: I really love this book ,is the best book i've ever rea
Rating: Summary: The truth? Review: Most people probably won't like this book. You'll want to read it anyway.
Rating: Summary: Read this book even if you are a Christian. Review: The best book I have yet to read. Anton, we miss you. Hail Sata
Rating: Summary: I highly recommend this book to ANYONE. Review: This is quite simply one of the best books I've ever read. The foundations of Satanic philosophy are what you will find here. I strongly recommend this book because it is actually logical and I found it to be quite enlightening. In the words of LaVey : "Probe no further, here is bedrock." --For those of you complaining about how you think the rituals , infernal names, etc., are just worthless garbage, you have not reallly paid attention to the whole book have you? The reasons for these fantasies (from the Preface : "Herein you will find truth--and fantasy. Each is necessary for the other to exist; but each must be recognized for what it is.") are explained in the chapters "The God You Save May Be Yourself" and "Some Evidence of a New Satanic Age".-- REGIE SATANAS! AVE SATANAS! HAIL SATAN!
Rating: Summary: Anyone can get mad, masturbate, or cry. Review: These are the three methods LaVey uses to bring a ritual to fruition. Actually this is psychologically quite sound. The rest of the book is also full of good solid common sense and logic. This book is easy and fun to read. I recommend it for all ages. The scariest parts are the front and back cover. For the price their asking it's a bargain.
Rating: Summary: time to grow up Review: I've noticed that most of the people who have reviewed this book come from the southern usa where there is a proliferation of churches and where christianity in all its twisted forms is shoved down your throat! I should know, because that is where I have lived all my life. I know the Satanic bible by heart, but I have found something out over the years. There is more to life than religion, where everyone thinks their way is the only way. Life happens to contain a little bit of everyone's beliefs combined. And if you don't believe me, just wait a few years when you finally grow up and you'll understand that life is not black and white. That belief is for the really lazy and ignorant!
Rating: Summary: Curious about Satanism? Then read this! Review: "The Satanic Bible" is the basis of contemporary Satanism and offers a refreshing and powerful philosophy. Portions of the text are based on sources other than Anton LaVey, for example "Might is Right" by Ragnar Redbeard and the Enochian Keys from a biography of John Dee. Although some readers have criticized LaVey for incorporating other authors' ideas into "The Satanic Bible," I think it's marvellous to find a religion which was developed from research, experience, and logic instead of a lunatic's "divine revelations." Here you will find a religion based on good common sense, the law of the jungle, and human nature. Whatever your beliefs may be, I strongly recommend that you read this book. You'll learn what Satanism is really about, which you won't find in any of those old episodes of "Geraldo" or in fairy tales about ritual abuse. However, be warned! Reading this book might just change your outlook on life. Hail Satan!
Rating: Summary: A lesson in common sense for degenerated americans Review: Needless to say, there's much more to it. Read the book, goddamit. If you fail, read it twice. And if you still nag about "here-after" and "it doesn't still tell you about Satan",you can always go buy yourself a 9mm and put it in your mouth.Recommended.One whined about LaVeys mesmeric talents.Oh christ,it's tragicomic to see a marionette blaiming heretics.I guess your house is full of kosher..jerk. Ad Nauseam.
Rating: Summary: I recommend this book to all people satanist or not Review: I recommend this book to Christians even youth ministers should read this book
