Rating: Summary: Quinky traveler is the game! Review: You may expect a certain kinky quacks from a certain manifestation in side of you. There is no limit to the endless toils of a virgin lost! I liked this book, but helium ballons for the partly psyco and satanic soul is MUCH better!
Rating: Summary: Beyond the hype is an excellent philosophy. Review: Despite what some of the propaganda-driven people will say, this is an excellent piece of literature. And allthough I found the rituals to be useless, i'm sure that there are many out there who crave that aspect of the religion to be satisfied. In essense, this is a book of the self.. leading you away from the guilt and hypocrisy of "God" and "Sin", and teaching you that human nature is OUR nature. To glorify in instinct, and worship yourself above all other things.. Not only is it life-affirming, but deeply satisfactory. For those not interested in Satanism as a faith, this is still a facinating book. It's branches into Psycology and history are interesting, and it's impossible to read through this book without being somehow changed. As a Satanist, I reccommend this with the highest praise. As a Person, I have to pity the closed-minded people who have been misled about this books intent and purpose. And as an avid reader, I endorse this as an amazing insight into a rapidly growing culture.
Rating: Summary: a book only for the open minded Review: The beginners book in satanism,The best one to read before any other book as it gives a detailed insight into the mind and views the Anton Szandor lavey. A book only for the open minded as this book is not ment to offend or to opinionate, just to give inpression of a realistic way of life. A little hard to get into but oce started its hard to put down. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to know more about satanism, whether from an outsiders or insiders point of view.
Rating: Summary: Satanism and self-indelgence is not the way. Review: Satanism, self-love, -worship, and -indulgence are ultimately meaningless. Worshipping Satan and believing that he thinks differently of you than he does of Christians is ignorant, naive, and, frankly, fatuous. I don't know why all of you would rather worship Satan than worship God. God gave you life, and no matter the circumstances, God will always love you. There is nothing you could do that would make Him turn his back on you. God would do anything for you. My best friend is a former Satanist, but he realized something. He could: --Worship Satan. --Die. --Go to Hell. --Be tortured for eternity. Or, he could: --Worship God. --Die. --Go to Heaven. --Be happy and loved for eternity. In Hell, Satan will treat you no differently than anyone else. You will be tortured, burned, mutilated, agonized, and tormented to no end, forever. It will never end. The decisions you make in mortal life effect how your immortal life will be. Please don't think anything good can come from worshipping Satan. Satan does not give a damn about you. He will deceive you any way he can to get you on his side, and then sell you out so fast your head will spin. He is a prevaricator. He only wants you to burn in Hell. And if you think otherwise, you have been grossly deluded. Everyone doing these positive reviews for this book keep saying "It will make you think." Well, I hope that anything I said here might make you think as well. All right, I think I have preached enough.

Rating: Summary: The man had no Idea what he was talking about. Review: I am only speaking inreference to Satanic Bible & Satanic verses. I will not speak ill of the dead.
Rating: Summary: My Thoughts On The "Satanic Bible" by Anton LaVey Review: Anton LaVey was altogether an intelligent and sophisticated individual. However, this is not what I would consider to be my idea and principal of what Satanism is to me. Inside this book you will find a philosopher trying to tag something that is closer to dark christianity as Satanism. This is not the case. To call this "The Satanic Bible" is also a misfire. It would have been summed up better as another one of Mr. LaVey's philosophic papers on the subject of Satanism and what it is to him. If this work were written differently, with more religious basis to it, more in-depth articulation on exactly what Satan and Satanism are in both a historical and postmodern sense, and more of what could be considered as a biblical representation of the subject, then this would be the definitive volume on the subject. It doesn't -- and it isn't. However, used as a supplement (as Mr. LaVey acknowledges himself in this book) to your reading on the subject of Satanism, demonology and the dark side...this is not a completely worthless piece of literature. Moreover, a nice try by an evil genius, but it misses the mark with me. Three stars.
Rating: Summary: You need to Know Review: You need to know what is in this book. ANy one who calls them selves a satanist or wants to know what they are have to pick up this book.. Lavey is the GREATEST philospher of our time
Rating: Summary: This book is an affirmation of humanity. Review: Readers will find THE SATANIC BIBLE exposes those "dark" inherent qualities in a human being, and brings them to "light". LaVey is not a gentle man in his writing; rather, he is a truthful man. Touching on subjects such as altruism and psychic vampires, he reveals a philosophy that could be considered the cornerstone of christianity -- being that it is everything they shamefully deny. LaVey introduces us to a philosophy that allows us to be human -- without guilt or shame, but with the call to be full in our humanity.
