Rating: Summary: Where is Volume 2 Review: This book in worth reading. It has some very interesting information. Early in th book he notes he will focus on the Mer-Ka-Ba field and meditation. Later on he says we are not ready for it so, buy volume 2. Then he says he would be suprised if we are still here at the turn of the century. Well here we are so, where is volume 2?
Rating: Summary: Consciousness Raising Review: This book is not for those who think "in the box." It IS for those desiring to expand their mental horizons. In this book the author talks about the 5 levels of human consciousness, the MerKaBa(the energy field which surrounds all living things), and explains with geometric diagrams, a very interesting interpretation of the Biblical story of Genesis. And there is a lot more in this book to blow your mind. Of course, there is no way to "prove" any of this, however, it IS information that you can apply in your life to see if it works for you. I have had personal experiences with some of this material that makes it real for me. It is written in a conversational tone, because the book is an edited transcript from a series of lectures the author gave. The subject matter is very deep. Don't pick up this book if you are looking for a light read, but if you are a seeker of truth, you will surely enjoy this one.

Rating: Summary: Very Interesting Reading. Review: This book is very deep! Overall, I liked the book but got a little lost (bored) with the mathematical parts. I am definitely right brained and I know I was supposed to sit through the Left brained logical stuff, but I just could not. The parts about Egypt were very interesting reading. The illustrations were good and very convincing evidence. I had a little problem with his documentation. He does not relate his information properly and sometimes I was wondering whether he was referring to Toth or some other source. His future historical events correlate with other scientific, religious and new age books I have read so I think his sources are worthy. The truth about where we came from I need to research before I make my decision. Overall, I found some parts of the book with high credibility and then others I read with some skepticism. Still, I would highly recommend this book to anyone seeking his or her higher self.
Rating: Summary: TO BE READ WITH BOTH MIND AND HEART OPEN Review: This is a book not recommended for those stuck in mainstream views of the Reality who are unwilling to expand or to embrace new/old interpretations of it. But it certainly will be a delightful, insightful reading for those who intuitively have always known that our sciences, religions, and the official history of our life in this planet, have been twisted, censored, manipulated by the powers that be, or just been partially presented to the general public in order to keep them unaware of its real potential and of what's really been and still is going on in this planet Earth. Unless you've had similar experiences to his, you'll find Drunvalo's stories to be just a pile of bull. This is a book specially written for those of us that have been or still are in touch with other aspects of the One Reality beyond this material plane. Some of the information presented in this book can't be proved to be authentic using regular research methods, some of it can be easily found in books, press articles, filmed material and the Internet. It depends on how open your heart and mind are for the Ancient Secret of the Flower of Life Vol 1 (that applies to Vol 2 as well) to be either one of your all-time favorites or just a complete disappointment.
Rating: Summary: Another small step Review: What is the universe made of? How was it created? Is matter real or an illusion? Who and what are we? Niels Bohr, when he received his Nobel prize on physics, said (I'm not quoting exactly because I can't find the quote) that after a lifetime of study and research he had reasons to suspect that matter does not exist. Energy would simply display patterns through vibrations of particular geometrical forms and frequencies, creating the appearance of matter. This would explain the duality of particles (they both act as waves and as particles of dense matter). If you really (and I mean really) ask yourself about the reality of matter, you will realize that it makes no sense. There cannot be 'indivisible' particles, because the moment you theorize the existence of a particle it has to be divisible. The concept of the atom dates back to ancient Greece, and it is in the Greek language that the word finds its source, meaning exactly indivisible. This concept has stuck ever since because it was a way to interpret reality and it also tremendously helped science. It was a reference point, if you will, a baseline for our mental picture of the reality that we perceive through our five human senses. Today, however, science is beginning to really question the nature of matter. So, what is the true nature of the universe? Theorizing on the geometry of creation, Drunvalo Melchizedek attempts to describe and prove that our true nature is not limited to this crude flesh (and here I'm quoting no less than Yoda!), but is much greater. There is no separation between a human being, the tree in front of him/her, and the dirt he/she is walking on. It's all one and the same thing. The fact that our soul has chosen to express itself in this dimension through a body of flesh and bones does not mean that it's limited to it, or that the flesh and bones are the reality. I am referring to both volumes of this book, and I am sure that by now you both have an idea of what you will find and whether you may enjoy it. The text has lengthy passages and it contains errors, so it could certainly undergo editing. But is a flower beautiful because it is perfect? I don't think so.
Rating: Summary: This book changed my life forever! Review: While driving someone I'd just met home, I was discussing what was going on in my life at the time. She said it sounded like I needed to read "The Ancient Secrets of the Flower of Life." (The ancient what? What about flowers? ?????) When we arrived at this woman's home, she invited me in to take a look at the book, because for the life of me, I knew I would never remember the name of it. All I know is that when I picked it up, I had a very strong, even overwhelming sensation of what I can only describe as familiarity. In the context of this review I can't explain the feeling I was having any better than that, but based on that feeling, I knew I really had to go out and find it right away. If you haven't taken a math class in years, as was my case, the sacred geometry part was occasionally challenging, but I certainly saw no harm in stimulating the ol'left brain again, either! But it was fascinating, too, to learn about the logarythmic perfection of our world, seemingly ordinary flowers, but I was fascinated especially by the perfection of the proportions of the human body! (And he definitely credits DaVinci's genius.) Yes, much of what he talks about, especially our beginnings as human beings, can be seen as "out there!" because it goes against the grain of everything we have learned about ourselves through modern science. I'll admit my eyes were open just about as wide as they can go when I was reading this stuff. But I kept going, because by now, in my forties, I have finally learned to trust my own instincts, and I kept going because of how this book literally resonated in my hand the first time I looked at it. How often has it been the case where you learn something in school which is later disproven, yet at the time you were expected to engrave it in stone? If you think about it, there's a great deal of information we have learned which we were expected to just accept at face value, so who's to say this information is wrong just because it seems so strange to our minds? All I'm saying is that there's a great deal of benefit to open-mindedness, in all areas of existence. I went to one of Drunvalo's seminars about a month after this experience, and I found him to be one of the most genuine, uplifting people I have ever met. AT NO TIME did he try to compromise anyone's free will, or try to violate the integrity of anyone's belief system(s). As a matter of fact, HE STRESSED HOW IMPORTANT IT WAS THAT WE FIND OUR OWN TRUTH. He's not a guru, he's a teacher, and while much of his teaching was completely new to me and required a great deal of processing and "digestion" if you will, it ultimately felt right.
