Summary: The Biggest Secret - David Icke
Review: I enjoy this book. For most of my life I knew that something was wrong. I'd researched history, various religions, read Danicken and Moody in junior high, read Sitchin and Gardner more recently. I just couldn't put it all together. Where was the missing link. It's here in this book! I met David. I helped with a lecture tour here in Canada a couple of years ago. My first impression of him was 'he's just an ordinary guy' he is. An ordinary man with an extraordinary mission. Spooky things happened in the time I was with him that I won't go into here, but two things became very apparent. One: Something very strange is going on out there. The fourth dimension exists. I've seen it and it wasn't very nice. Two: David does seem to be protected even though he is under almost constant psychic attack. Read the book. Believe what you are able to believe, then leave it. Read it again in six months. You'll be surprised by how much your parameters of belief will have changed. with love to you all and the earth. Ruth

Review: This book is pretty well researched, a bit sloppy but it has all the info you need to understand the New World Order by following up the sources in the bibliography. Yet I feel that writing a full and proper review of Icke's highly idiosyncratic book would be a waste of our time. Why? Because people are so hopelessly biased towards to protecting their egos that they can read, they claim, the whole book, word by word, and still come out with what you see in the low-star rubbishing ratings on this page. There is no need to buy the book unseen as you can just check out his website, or indeed, if you do NOT think the evidence for the "Master Conspiracy" or, as he writes of the Freemasons, their "Great Work of Ages" is going to be convincing you would be better off researching it online first: Konformist, Illuminet etc. Just type "evidence" and "Satanism" or whatever into Google or Altavista. CHECK YOUR FACTS. The Biggest Secret IS BIG. Conspiracy Theory Virgins have no chance of accepting it and should get his previous book first [And The Truth Shall Set You Free...].THE EVIDENCE FOR THE NWO IN TBS IS OVERWHELMING. THOSE YOU SAY NO DO NOT KNOW AS THEY DO NOT LOOK. LOOK AT ALL THAT "ANTI-SEMITE" SMEARING HE HAS SUFFERED. MOST PEOPLE CANNOT HANDLE THE TRUTH. PRE-JUDGEMENT SEEMS FOOLISH TO ME. AND YOU?

Summary: the hard truth
Review: I know it's hard for people to accept much of Icke's findings, but the realtiy is, 90% of it are hard facts. Things that the newscasters left out of their reports, but are true all the same. He gives the clearest explanations for religion, money, race, and this planet's history. I think it's interesting that the majority of people accept that we have evolved from apes (yet could NEVER believe that some humans have evolved from another animal such as reptiles), that we are the only intelligent beings in this humongous galaxy (this seems ignorant to me), and that our 'rulers' have our best interest at heart (I think this has been proven false time and time again). The reason I didn't give this book all five stars is, I know there are many positive forces on this planet, here to help humanity, and this seemed to be missing from the book. Isn't the fact that there are angelic, enlightened beings a Big Secret as well? I would love to read a book by Icke about these phenomenal people and the true stories about the impact they have on this planet. Thanks, Icke, for having the courage to write these books. I'm ridiculed and laughed at just for reading them; I can only imagine the hardships you have gone through dedicating so much time to your research. Now tell us about the GOOD parts!

Summary: Love Is What The Darkness Most Fears
Review: When I first picked up Mr. Icke's book I was a bit turned off thinking it just another conspiracy theory rambling. However, the information about Princess Diana intrigued me and eventually, I bought the book. I must admit I have never been so disgusted and enlightened by anything I have ever read. My life is a fully conscious, positive experience by choice and frankly, I did not want to give credence to the evil that exists in our world. For this reason the information in the book quite infuriated me, so I had to stop and ask myself why. There is a saying, perhaps for a reason, that; "...truth is stranger than fiction". I don't agree with some of Mr. Icke's conclusions, such as Jesus having never existed and the negative allusions to Alice A. Bailey, St. Germain, the story of the Wizard of Oz, etc., since my personal experiences in relation to these are too abundant and profound to discount so easily. And with regard to these, I encourage Mr. Icke to make a deeper, inner investment to find further. However, I am not about to paint his entire discourse with a black brush simply because he is strongly opinionated in certain areas. Having taken the time to digest all the reviews, I wondered: How many of these people actually read his book from cover to cover with an open mind and how many of them have personally visited the places he mentions in the book? In the course of my work, I am privileged to travel extensively and have been to many of these places a number of times. As a sensitive, before ever having read material of this nature, I had experienced physical and emotional negativity in such places (most recently) as Boynton Canyon and Huntsville, in addition to numerous places over the past 10 years throughout Europe and Mexico both mentioned and not, variously in his book. For instance, each time I passed the mural in the Denver Airport I marveled at how such an abomination came to be displayed in so public an arena. With an influence of this nature in the general vicinity of Columbine High School is it any wonder why two young people would take it upon themselves to massacre their fellow students? Perhaps these two misguided souls had occasion to study the mural and took the symbology literally. Or perhaps, they were victims of mind control tactics, or both. Who knows? Don't kid yourself: symbology is very powerful and it permeates our world. And what about Waco and Oklahoma City? It is Mr. Icke's contention that both of these events were mass ritual murders perpetrated by our own government. Look at the facts, a pattern is quite obvious: both took place on April 19 exactly two years apart and both events took the lives of innocent people, not the least of which were children! Look even closer on a map and you will see that Waco and Oklahoma City are both directly north and south of one another, with Dallas in the middle no less, the scene of yet another potential "ritual" killing, that like Waco, remains highly controversial to this day. And what do all of these events have in common? They all took place in the "heartland" of our nation and they wounded the collective psyche of people not only in our own country, but around the world. However, I believe it was the death of Princess Diana that proved the most effecting. Granted, the media coverage was grotesque in it's scope but even without it, it is my own experience that the ley line theory is more than mere speculation, and that we are each influenced on the subtlest levels. The powers that be would love nothing more than to have us all debating the details indefinitely, keeping us distracted from what matters most. What they don't want us to realize is that each of us has massive spiritual power within and always have had. That is why there is so much deliberate misinformation: to confuse us. We need to move beyond pedantic ravings and experience this book as one that must be read between the lines. You can only do that by reading with the heart. Should there be a truly malevolent force that controls the innocent people of this world wouldn't you rather be aware of the possibility? Or will you be one who runs to the government out of fear to "save" you should something momentous occur? People who have cultivated a rich inner, spiritual life and consciously apply that energy in the outer world are the ones who are ultimately the most powerful. In the words of singer Jewel "...the Light is what the darkness most fears". As a collective consciousness we have the power to drive evil off the face of this planet in a tidal wave of Light. So, if you are even a bit concerned about where our world is headed, do something about it. Learn to take responsibility for every thought you have. Find yourself someone who will teach you to meditate privately or participate in meditation groups and prayer vigils for peace. But please, do not stand on the sidelines wringing your hands ranting about how bad things are and how you wish it were all over because this behavior only compounds the problem. Get off your butt and influence the solution or shut up. I challenge every person who is capable of reading to experience "The Biggest Secret". Read with the heart, it will serve to enlighten and empower. Read from the ego it will only serve to imprison you further. Therefore, ask for a blessing of genuine understanding in advance and read it if you dare.

Summary: don't throw out the baby with the bathwater
Review: While fascinating to read, and while much of what he writes I believe to be true, the major problem I have with David Icke's books is that he tends to accept information from questionable sources at face value and incorporates it into his theories without thinking twice about it. In a way, I find his trust in his fellow human beings rather sweet, but if he doesn't want his theories to come crashing down like a house of cards, David must learn to be more critical of his sources, and to be a little more thorough and disciplined in his research. Time and time again, David bases his most intriguing theories solely on the claims of obscure cranks, lunatics, hoaxers, and in some cases, folks that I suspect are deliberately spreading disinformation. David (wisely) understands that the mainstream media is a carefully controlled propaganda machine; apparently he doesn't realize that there's just as much BS to be found in the "information underground". This book is well worth reading, but as with all things - take it with a pinch of salt, and use it as a starting point to do your own research, and not as a "be-all, end-all" of conspiracy theories.

Summary: Clearly Mentally ILL
Review: I am all for conspiracy theories, and that is what brought me to this book...however...
The author does have some interesting points and I found some of the book very captivating but he seems to go off into paranoid delusions, and exhibits classic symptoms of paranoid schizophrenia. I do believe that Mr. Icke needs to seek some help in the form of therapy and medications. I believe that he is a talented writer and has potential, but that he will have a better outlook once he is treated.

Summary: And what a secret it is..
Review: The biggest secret seems to be that the rich and powerful are plotting to take over the world. However according to Mr. Icke they are actually reptilian aliens, feeding off the evil emotions of the world. After you get past the hard to believe first part of the book, the rest is great. He tells a story similar to Jim Marrs in Rule by Secrecy, about how the elite are trying to bring about the new world order. He goes further however with the meanings behind some of the most recognizable logos in the world. I really enjoyed this book.

Summary: Tread cautiously and with an open mind
Review: I had originally picked up this book for its information regarding an extraterrestrial influence in mankind's ancient past. It provided more than enough information regarding the subject as well as an introduction to secret societies. At the time, the only secret societies that I was aware of or concerned myself with were the Bilderbergers, and the Order of the Skull and Bones. The Illuminati is an obvious one and although I had heard of its existance, the term is far too broad and is usually used to describe the connnected societies as a whole. I actually had never heard of Freemasonry and kept wondering when Icke was going to dive into the definition of the term and the order itself. Unfortunately, most people of my generation are unaware of the Freemasons even though I pass two lodges on the way to work (imagine my surprise!). My point is, I investigated the origins of Freemasonry mainly because I had to to progress through the book. This inspired me to investigate further into Icke's other claims, and I suggest you do the same. Never take anyone's word for granted without first doing what you can to prove it yourself. Especially with sensitive matter such as this. So Icke essentially believes in the existence of an extraterrestrial (or interdimensional) brotherhood that has infiltrated humanity and controls us covertly. Those in key positions of power is and always has been, he states, a part of an intricate system of interconnecting bloodlines tracing all the way back to the very creation of humanity itself. Icke presents more than an adequate amount of evidence to support these claims even though some of his sources are a little sketchy. Many of his information on current events are mindblowing, indeed, and can be verified easier than his claims of "reptillians". If you take anything away from this book let it be the information he's presented on the last fiftly years-to present. It might be better just to disregard the entire discussion of shape-shifting aliens altogether and just focus on the verifiable info. This brings to mind another point. Although I understand his reasons for doing so, I think it would have been easier on the readers if Icke had chosen to discuss the extraterrestrial origins of this brotherhood near the end of the book. To start the book with unbelievable claims doesn't do anything for the credibility of the rest of the book whether it be true or not. If you're into secret societies and 'new world order' investigations but new to the whole 'alien influence' aspects, I recommend Jim Marrs' book, Rule By Secrecy. He covers many of the same views as Icke but with a less new age vibe to it. Also, he includes information on the extraterrestrial involvement with ancient humanity, but at the end of the book after the reader has already absorbed more of the verifiable material. All in all, this is a well researched and provacative book that will no doubt get your brain considering at least some of the possibilities presented here. Just don't take Icke's work and run with it. Look around at what other researchers are doing and do some investigations yourself.

Review: Hey, I'm from Pangalactic Exterminator and I gots this work order to clean out the reptiles you people got on this backwater dirtball of a planet. Boy, you sure let those little buggers get a strong foot hold. Dumb mistake. Now, I'm gonna need for all youse nice folks to vacate the premises so I can nuke the place. That's what happens when you let those crafty critters get so far along. Don't complain to me. You all need to be off the planet by noon tomorrow so I can get this work order polished off in time for my softball game after work. No exceptions either or you is gonna get deep friend along with them reptiles. BTW - They ought be good eating that way since you been letting them eat your babies and such. I just can't understand why you people let those reptiles run wild like this. I mean I don't want to be telling you what you ought to do but if it were my kids getting eaten, I would of done something sooner. So which one youse guys will be paying for this job. No we don't take local currency. Geez, you people on the rim of the galaxy sure are a a bunch of hicks, aren't ya??
