Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: You'll get out of it what you allow yourself to put into it. Review: Perhaps one of the most interesting aspects of this book is
the ability of the author to induce such animosity of his
particular writing style by his readers. It seems to me that
the particular style was chosen because the author felt that
the content (not the method of presentation) was important.
Clearly, if the author had chosen a more complicated style, the
size of the potential audience would have been severely reduced.
A self-reflective reader will probably not be as impressed with
the actual prophesy at the superficial level; however, few indeed can walk away without gaining something if they read carefully. Remember that in litterature (as in life), the simplicity or complexity of one aspect has little to do with the whole. Moreover, if you think there was nothing to gain from an experience,
then you've probably missed the point. Chris Thoburn
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Garbage!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: Not only is this book idiotic, but anyone who liked it is also an idiot
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Causes one to wonder! Review: The content and ideas in Celestine Prophecy offer the reader a different way to view life. One may finish the book with the question in their mind - Should I attempt to see life energy in my house plants? Celestine Prophecy challenges the settled mind to ask once again, "Could there be some validity to this books' author's content and ideas? Interlaced throughout the book, which outlines the discovery and explaination of The Nine Insights, is suspense and the constant, offen nagging question - Is this fact or fiction. Fact or
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Worst book I ever read. Review: This horror was chosen by my book group & like a good trooper, I struggled through it - but I was either laughing at the poor writing & story, or fighting my desire to heave it as far as I could. The only good thing about reading this book for me was the pleasure of ripping it to shreds with likeminded members during our meeting
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Drivel Review: The one-line summary really says it all. Redfield claims to have discovered nine - or ten - "insights"; all of which are either simply false or were so obvious that any child of seven has "perceived" them long ago. The story revolves around a search for pieces of a manuscript which contains these so-called "insights". Since the "insights" themselves lack any real imagination or impact, Redfield spices up the story by claiming that governments and church officials are desperate to suppress these "subversive" ideas. Any reasonable reader will find him (or her) - self constantly asking why a government or church would get so excited about such meaningless banality. The best thing about the book is that it is written at about a 5th-grade level, so you'll only waste about an hour and a half on it, even if you are hung over and got just two hours' sleep last night. A further thought is that there is no more devastating indictment of the "dumbing down" of our society than the presence of this vacuous nonsense on the best-seller list for over a year
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: This book will make you re-think your "Ultimate Destination" Review: I loved reading the Celestine Prophecy. Although the writing
leaves something to be desired in certain places, the
Nine Insights provided will make you look again at the world
around you. You will begin to re-evaluate "coincidences"
and wonder about your purpose here
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: An important message, not a literary masterpiece. Review: An allegory. Not to be read as a literary masterpiece but as an important message. Redfield posits that something big
is happening just beneath the veneer of life's experiences.
Seemingly coincidental occurrences move us in pre-destined directions. Following the heart's voice leads to one's true
purpose in life. But the heart whipsers so listen carefully. The first few "manuscripts" made sense but the last one went way beyond anything I could relate to. Still, a very important message in an easy to digest format.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: A stepping stone to greater things for the general public. Review: Though the writing may not be what is considered to be a literary
great, the book does provide a message that the masses are desperately seeking.
With this in mind, and the fact that people who have read this book
have considered aspects of life, spirtuality, and human potential and ability
that may have never before been considered, I believe a mission has been accomplished.
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Horrible. Review: The only thing good I got out of this book were quick sleeps. Couldn't wait to put it down
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: Overrated but interesting spiritually Review: I can't believe all the hype CP has gotten!?! Rather than reading this book, I recommend The Alchemist
by Paulo Coelho. It is about a true spiritual journey AND is well written.
