Rating: Summary: "You are what you think" Review: So many times you are promised that a book is going to "change your life." This one did the trick. Even though it has been many years since I first cracked the spine of "The Greatest Salesman in the World." I still pick it up regularly. While the underlying message of this book is persistance and definitiveness of purpose, its lessons need to be read in the authors pre-defined order for maximum benifit. The riches you can recieve will only be given if you put in the required reading, study and applications of the suggested action steps. If you are in a sales slump, this is the one that will get you hitting homers again!
Rating: Summary: I will resist until I win. Review: I will use this day as the last day in my life. I am the most miracle thing in this world. with love, I will be able to conquer lancer of hate, and angriness. I will resist until I win.
Rating: Summary: Very good and motivating Review: A great spiritual and motivating book.
Mandino is used to be the searcher of the mysteries of the human being and his explanations of human behaviour are
full of truth and beauty.
His book reminds Kalil Gibran in a new, strong and clear version and style
Rating: Summary: Changed my Life Review: If it was not for this book I would not be on the internet with my homepage. It is one of the Great books for anyone who wants to be the best at his calling. You will be Great, if you read and act on what you read in this little book of Great wisdom
Rating: Summary: personanonxista@optonline.net Review: I first read "The Greatest Salesman in the World" in August 1973. I have read, since that first reading, and will continue to read, all 10 Scrolls every morning for the rest of my life. I recorded the 10 Scrolls on cassette in my own voice and listen to it in my car as I drive to work and again on my return home. Ralph Waldo Emerson said we become what we think about. The 10 Scrolls are what I think about. There is something heroic in the way salespeople make their living. If you are one who cannot fail because you have nowhere to fail to, the Greatest Salesman will guide you on that road that winds uphill all the way to very end on the day's journey that lasts from morn to night, my friend. Og Mandino and I spoke often in 1979 and the years that followed before his return to the loving Father, the actual Author of the Greatest Salesman, who sent him to us. If everyone could read this book at once,we would all become like story book children walking hand in hand across the meadow.
Rating: Summary: One of the classic business parables Review: For those who enjoy classic business parables like the "The Richest Man in Babylon" by George Clayson, "The Baron Son" by Vicky Therese Davis, and "The Alchemist" by Paolo Coelo, they will certainly find interest in "The Greatest Salesman in World."
Like the other works, it has been translated around the world and brought joy to the hearts of many. "The Greatest Salesman in the World" is the first, and by far the best, in Og Mandino's trilogy including "The Greatest Secret in the World" and "The Greatest Miracle in the World."
As the title would imply, it is the ancient story of the world's greatest salesperson whose passes on his secrets of success by bequeathing ten scrolls to his protégé.
The Scroll Marked I, Today I begin a new life - Form good habits and become their slaves
The Scroll Marked II, I will greet this day with love in my heart - Show love and compassion to the world and you shall find it returned
The Scroll Marked III, I will persist until I succeed - Persistence will bring you success
The Scroll Marked IV, I am nature's greatest miracle - Love yourself
The Scroll Marked V, I will live this day as if it is my last - Seize the day
The Scroll Marked VI, I will be the master of my emotions - Live courageously and do not fall victim to fear and disappointment
The Scroll Marked VII, I will laugh at the world - Appreciate each situation and do not take life too seriously
The Scroll Marked VIII, Today I will multiply my value hundred fold - Find ways to create value for others in your exchanges
The Scroll Marked IX, I will act now - Act decisively to achieve success
The Scroll Marked X, I will pray for guidance - Renew yourself through a connection with God
In summary, it is an inspirational story that is wonderfully told in a spiritual and principled tone that you will be sure to enjoy.
Rating: Summary: OUTSTANDING!!!!! Review: I would suggest anyone dealing with sales to read this book! This book shares so many great jewels while still entertaining you. This is a small book that can make a big difference!
Rating: Summary: An inspiring novel Review: I had my first Southwestern summer this year. I sold books door to door for 12 weeks. I don't know if it is possible to comprehend inspirational books until you fail at something. I thought inspirational books were great before the summer, but not until I began selling books door to door did I realize the true meaning of "Persist until you succeed," or "Quitters never win and winners never quit." I like the book. I read each chapter six times, one each week. I used the topics as positive affirmations. I found it necessary to feed my mind as well as my body because I found I become irrational when I fail at something. I also liked the story part of the book. I can't wait to read the sequel.
Rating: Summary: personanonxista@optonline.net Review: This is a fascinating little book that packs a BIG punch. It holds your attention and the message is clear. As Harv from The Millionaire Mind Intensive says "How you do anything is how you do Everything' it is not only about biz it is about Life!Great addition to Spiritualizing Business!!It is such a good book and after so many years on the market it still applies today!
Rating: Summary: An Okay Book, but Watch out Review: This book is basically one big sales pitch for Christian values. The first part of the book, (i.e. the first 40 pages) is useless, working up towards the meat of the book - the scrolls. The lessons from the scrolls are quite useful, but Og writes in a way that waxes biblical. The last part of the book brings in Paul and Jesus, and that's where it lost me. As a Jew, I don't believe Jesus was the son of G-d and it put a suspicious light on everything Og was delivering. In the end it made him sound like a preacher, which is fine if you're Christian.
