Rating: 5 stars
Summary: a wonderful book for anyone curious about wicca
Review: an informative, easy to understand guide to beginning wiccan practice or if you're just curious about it.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: One of the best books I ever read.
Review: This is a very good book for all beginning Wiccans and anyone who thinks the Craft might be right for them.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Recommended to all beginners!
Review: I recommend this book to all beginners. It covers a lot of questions one first has when exploring Wicca, and it is also great to recommend to people who may not know the truth about Wiccans. I also like the fact that he stresses how good it is to be a solitary, since so many beginners ask me if they need to find a coven right away. I still refer to the Standing Stones Book of Shadows in the back while I am writing my own BOS.

Summary: Excellent
Review: I am just a begginer in the wiccan path, and Scott Cunningham's book opened my soul to it. It was concise and easy to understand. I really enjoyed it and look foward to reading Living Wicca. An excellent book for any begginers in the craft

Summary: a must have
Review: Merry Meet. . . If you wish to practice Wicca, but you don't want to be a member of a coven, or can't find a coven to join, buy this book! This book contains a complete system for the solitary practitioner. Scott also explains that none of the rituals are "holy writ," and that's it's okay to change them, or to create your own. Also includes a suggested reading section which is helpful if you wish to read further. Merry Part. . . Blessed Be!

Summary: Great book to start with!
Review: This was one of the few books I've read on ANYTHING that actually kept my interest long enough to finish it in one sitting. The author's writing style is easy to understand. His knowledge of Wicca and the way he writes about it is especially helpful for those starting out.

Summary: Awesomeo!
Review: I myself am a beginner at all of this stuff, a good friend of mine had been telling me about it so I got the book and read it and I fell in love! The best part is - I can understand what the author is trying to say... The book is easy to read and enthralling. It has all that's neccessary to help out beginners so they can find their place.. I love it!

Summary: Mixed Bag, Overall Pretty Good
Review: As a newbie, I found this book to be pretty decent. It's definitely not the be-all-end-all, in my least humble opinion. I found that having done a great deal of research on the internet (And reading "The Spiral Dance" and "Drawing Down the Moon") I didn't find much new in here. I also think that Cunningham went a little overboard on the tools information (especially since just prior to that he stated that you don't need tools--it just comes off a little contradictory). Overall though, I think this is a solid introduction, an easy read, and filled with practical information and guidance.
