Summary: Great Book!
Review: This is a great book for a anyone starting out in Wicca. Examples are given for rituals and every thing. There is also alot of information for the most knowledgable Wiccan to use.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: excellent resource for the solitary practitioner
Review: I truly recommend this book for anyone just starting out on their path. I find myself returning to this book for information. This book lets one really understand the basics of wicca

Summary: A great toe-in-the-water book!
Review: This is a wonderful primer for those just beginning on the path. Cunningham aptly communicates some of the joys in the choice to live more in harmony with one's self and counterparts. The book definately provides good coverage of the basics and is never preachy- a simple what-to-do and when-to-do-it primer that still allows the reader to find his or her own way while still feeling a part of something larger. Dig in and enjoy the mystery of your life!!

Summary: The beginners guide to magick
Review: This book was excellent. Although I have read more exciting and informative books since I purchased this one, it was Scott Cunningham's great work that got me started. If not for him, I don't know what I'd be doing right now. Even if it is difficult to understand at times, the explanations were great, the outline of tools and rituals was very helpful, and the book of shadows in the back gave me an idea of how to start my own. I would suggest this book to anyone who wants to know more about Wicca.

Summary: informative but dry and repetitive
Review: This was not the first Wiccan book that I had read, and maybe that is why I don't think its so great. When I first skimmed through the book, my opinion was thatI felt as though I was fliping to the same page over and over again. In reality the author had repeted himself a few times. In adition when I finnally got around to reading this book, I found it VERY dull. However, to a person beginning in the craft or to someone who wants to look into the craft, then this book is good to read, if you can stay awake that is.

Summary: Great Stepping Stone
Review: This was the very first book I read on Wicca, Paganism, Witchcraft, etc. I thought it very nicely provided the basics on both practical and spiritual levels: Not just the what and how, but the why, too. I only wish the book covered even more Wicca philosophy and teachings, and provided more solid lessons and exercises, and perhaps left out the provided Book of Shadows (especially considering his view on individualism). Overall GREAT book

Summary: over all one of the best books on solitary wicca in print
Review: After I realised I was wiccan, a friend handed me this book and I was unable to put it down. Scott Cunningham's fresh approach to the old religion in Solitary Practitioner was very concise and easy to read. This book was the turning point for me and was life changing. If you are interested in wicca, Witchcraft, or any part of the religion of pre-Christian Europe, this is the book to start with.

Summary: Wonderful Book !
Review: I would recommend this book to anyone starting out in wicca. It has everything you need to know and then some. Very down to earth and practical. I still refer back to it occasionally.

Summary: Fabulous! Cunningham Does It Again!
Review: Scott Cunningham has written book after book, teaching those of us who would learn, a wonderful path to follow in life. Wicca, A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner, was one of the first books I learned of the Solitary path from. I have been in a coven for most of my "Wiccan" life, and when it became necessary, due to a location change, for me to become a Solitary Practitioner, I had no greater teacher! I love his books and wish he were still around to write more.....Brightest Blessings!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The best book for the eclectic, solitary or otherwise
Review: Regardless of the Eclectic Trad, whether the reader is a dabbler, a follower of ESW, UEW or another Eclectic Trad or just a curious onlooker, this book provides both the tools and reassurement many require to practice alone.
Even those within covens and churches may find this book of value, for bringing practice out of the coven and into the heart. In addition, this book is required reading for several trads and recommended reading for others, so the beginner hoping to find a group may wish to study it. While it is not completely balanced, and does focus a bit heaviliy on the Goddess and not the God, there are no insane claims or male bashing within here.Simply put, It is a book on Wicca that does not require suspension of disbelief to be appreciated, a rarity in this age of cutesy covers and tales of author's disputable connections to ancient traditions.
