Summary: Learn how to Communicate with God!
Review: God didn't stop talking with The Bible - he is still talking. We just don't listen. If you are attracted to this book in any way, BUY IT. It will change your life! (The book is not based on any organized religion)

Summary: Even if you don't believe in god, you will love this book
Review: This is one of the most outstanding books written in the last 20 years. So much widom and so nicely written. Buy it, and get a copy of Optimal Thinking: How To Be Your Best Self to learn how to be your best and make the most of everything within your control. If you want to live your best life, this is the way to achieve it.

Summary: Incredible insight and wisdom
Review: Regardless of whether or not you believe the author is actually talking to God, the truth and logic is undeniable. If you can get past your previous thoughts of how God and life works, then these books will advance your life beyond your wildest dreams. Not just rheteric; a common sense approach to the cause and effect nature of life. Not just pointing out problems; giving solutions to recognizing "that which is not in your best interest" and the tools to truly move closer to that which you would like to be. Not just inspiring, rather, also practical and necessary. Be sure to clean out the mind filter before putting it into this stream of fresh air.

Summary: If you can be true to your soul, this book will serve you.
Review: This is a book that attacks organized religion at it's weakest point. Fear. Fear of God. Fear of ourselves. It shows us a broader and more awe-inspiring account of what God is really like. How small is your God that "he" must be vengeful and judgemental, is not the true God above such trivialities? These are the types of questions that are dealt with head on in this book series.

The best "classical" evidence for this book is Jesus Christ himself. He did not hate or judge his agressors, but loved them unconditionally and completely. This series comes back to this idea again and again.

Even if you don't "believe" that Walsch is actually talking to God, or if he is just having an internal dialog with himself, it still brings up such powerful observations of a perfect God, that going back to the "fire and brimstone" diety that the Christian church dares to call God is just plain absurd and counter-productive in our life. LIVE YOUR LIFE IN LOVE, NOT IN FEAR. That is the true message of God, and of this book.

Summary: Garbage!!
Review: I have a really hard time believing this guy was "talking" to God. His books are not Biblically based, that's for sure. Conversations with God and Conversations with God for Teens are on the Scholastic Book Club list and are being sold to our children in their schools. Did anyone from this book club read these books first before putting them on the list??? Dr. James Dobson advises against getting these books and give the following as an example of what the author is teaching:

For instance (and I paraphrase), when a girl asks the question "Why am I a lesbian?" his answer is that she was born that way because of genetics just as you were born right-handed, with blue eyes, etc. Then he tells her to go out and "celebrate" her differences.

The above goes directly against what the Bible teaches us and the same themes runs through both books, and if the author managed to get so much wrong in those two, what about the rest of them? How can a man get what the Bible teaches so wrong, and claim it comes from God??

I won't buy anything this author writes because most of it is false doctrine. Not only that, this man is targeting our children. Dr. Dobson also had this to say: Our children are under attack, so I pray that you be sober and vigilant about teaching your kids the true Word of God and guarding their exposure to worldly media because our adversary, the devil, "roams about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour" (1 Peter 5:8). And how many of us know that lions usually hunt for the slowest, weakest and YOUNGEST of its prey.

Summary: It all makes sense
Review: I read this book, and the others in the series, when it (they) first came out a number of years ago, but have taken until now to review it.

Prior to reading this book I considered myself an agnostic, in large part due to having been born and raised in Sweden where organized religion is often viewed with a healthy dose of skepticism. I have always been open to the idea of there being "something more", but the Judeo-Christian view of God always clashed with my own instincts about what a truly loving God should be. The message in this book, on the other hand, rang true for me.

From reading the other posts here on [Amazon.com], I get the impression that this has been the experience of most people who have read this book, and the others in the series. There is just something about this message that makes sense. Is the author getting this message from God? I believe that he is, but the point is that it really doesn't matter. I'd like to quote another reviewer in saying that if everyone on the planet lived according to these books, the world would be a better place. That's the bottom line, and that alone is a good enough reason for people to read them.

So, looking back, has reading the CWG books in anyway dramatically changed how I live my life? Not really, but it has definately made me calmer, more compassionate, more tolerant and more patient. For those of you who say that the message contained in these books is evil, I have but one question to ask. If the majority of people who have read them come away from the experience as happier and more loving people, what's the harm in that?

I would strongly recommend this book to anyone with an open mind. It may transform your life, and it may not. At the very least, it will inspire you. One of the most important lessons I have learned from this series of books is to, when in doubt about how to act in certain situation, always ask myself "What would love do now?". And it really is as simple as that...

Summary: Conversation with God Book 1
Review: In 1994 I took a training course called "Avatar, The Art of Living Deliberately" This is a marvelous course where you have experential knowledge on a variety of subjects like God who am I? etc. You have realizations, but are they right? The course ddoes not transfer any belief, so whatever you discover is your truth, but....
I have found that CWG #1 fits in very well with what I experienced.
In order to get real knowledge you must go inside of you, let your heart be your guide; the ego mind is a trap, it will keep you in court forever! You need to transcend the mind or put it at the service of the heart.
Wonderful book which I have given to all my love ones
