Rating: Summary: Ask and you shall receive.. Review: This book was not the first book I read that jump started my life. I started with "A Course in Miracles". No, this was the book that brought up all the trash I buried most of my wonderfully disfunctional life. I called it forth however. I asked for it and I got it in my face. If you think that your life changes will all be profound and uplifting you are in for a wake up call. The changes in my life that this reading has brought about have been very unpleasant as of late. But not a day goes by where I am unaware of my hearts desire, and the cycles of life. This is not a book you read once or twice. If you are ready, you will probably be reading this book at least everytime you are troubled in life.
Rating: Summary: CWG--SIMPLY AMAZING!!! Review: I have read and taken extensive notes on all three books in this trilogy. And the more I read, the more I continue to discover. The depth and bredth of these books is amazing. It's like a puzzle--the longer you read CWG, the more the pieces of it fit together allowing one to see the whole picture. There is perfection in everything--and this trilogy is no exception!
Rating: Summary: Keep it in perspective... Review: On the mere face of it, the book is an excellent read. I truly don't understand some of the reviewers who seek to judge or slam others who have found enrichment in the materials. It did not contain earth-shattering revelations for some of us, but to the extent that it helps others and contributes to an overall healthy society...why begrudge that progress? In my humble opinion, there is no one book "better" than the other. Rather, to the extent that material resonates with a reader therein lies its value. No one can say what another requires, or "should" require. This, to me, speaks to the very intolerance we should seek to overcome with one another in order to flourish. The CWG books are indeed good pieces. Where one goes from there is, well..infinite.
Rating: Summary: Oh, so thats who has been talking to me all these years. Review: Thanks to the Wisdom Channel I saw Donald Walsch's interview and heard about CWG. I have read I and II and have just started on III. I have for many years written in my journal but have not always understood what I was writing. I now reveiw those journals and understand who was often moving my pen. I also understand what my pen was writing. Thank you Mr. Walsch for this book that has taught me to LISTEN and to understand. Retired in Mexico
Rating: Summary: Finally, a book for OUR time Review: From an early age I've been compelled to find answers to the questions that have plagued me concering matters of the spirit. Countless books through the years have provided some help and little insight into that gnawing feeling that those who search for spirit know all to well. Sure there's been a few books that overshadowed the rest such as, Gary Zukav's "Seat Of The Soul," and "Where Two Worlds Touch" by Gloria Karpinski that showed me insights on a level I had never experienced. But only C.W.G. brought them all together in a way that my mind and heart could understand and that my spirit has been waiting for. I believe anyone who reads C.W.G. while sitting aside their orthodox views and fears of any religious repercussions will find their spirit open and thirsting for the message that Neal Walsch gave us, be it from him or God it makes no difference to me. Let your spirit, not your mind make the choice.
Rating: Summary: Ask and ye shall receive!!! Review: Before I found CWG (or it found me) I was in a sort of existential no-man's land--not sure what life meant, or what I was here for. I remember praying for God's help at night when I felt particularly alone and hopeless. I remember the next day I opened a fortune cookie which said "Your dearest wish will come true." I took it as a sign, and loh and behold, here I am with, what I believe to be, a direct answer to prayer--this miraculous trilogy!!! There are no accidents in the universe!!! And CWG is evidence of this Great Truth!!!
Rating: Summary: it was an amazing book Review: i loved this book it answered a lot of questions i had been thinking about for years.
Rating: Summary: Very nice, but there is much more to spirituality Review: I suppose for someone who is just embarking on the spiritual path, this is a great book and would deserve 5 stars. For those who have been actively involved in spirituality, self-discovery, meditation and similar, the book does not present anything new. It presents a nice review of what we already know. If you already know that your thoughts and emotions create your reality and have been applying this actively in your life and if you are developing the quality of love and expressing this love that you must have experienced already what this book talks about and you must be already aware of the truths in this book. For those ones who are on the spiritual path and would like to go further, they may like Life and Teachings of the Masters of the Far East by Baird. T Spalding, or books by Annalee Skarin. These books actually guide you in how to take your daily life to the next level. As the previous reviewer wrote, there is no quick-fix. The change one's life takes dedicated practice and while the steps are not difficult, one has to have a burning desire and willingness to take daily actions while the old habits of thinking are replaced with the new. The quickest fix that will create a change is the practice of love for all and anyone who spends time in quiet meditation desiring to hear the voice of God within will indeed have his own conversations with God as God speaks to all of us. After all God does express through all of us. My blessings to all.
Rating: Summary: Give Me A Break! Review: As a seeker of truth, I read Mr. Walsch's book with an open mind and heart... looking for something great. Unfortunately, what I found was much half-truth and new age hype. I did not give this book a second thought until I read the reviews on Amazon.com. My concern is the number of readers that feel this book is such a revelation.... This reveals that so many are indeed suffering... no "starving" for inner truth. Mr. Walsch has appealed to our need for self forgiveness... to our inner pain. Unfortunately there is no "easy path", no "quick fixes". Please don't waste your money on this book! Start first with "A Road Less Travelled" by M. Scott Peck. Then try "Awareness" by Anthony DiMello. Anything of greatness will stand the test of time. In five years, Mr. Walsch will be long forgotten!
Rating: Summary: CWG reminds us of Truth. Which path will we take? Review: The most important message in CWG is to live the truths the book contains. We are not to prosyletize, but to be an example. It is wonderful to have actually heard these moving words of beauty and wisdom, but it is only to the degree that we put the CWG message into everyday practice, that we will begin to see real change in our world and in ourselves. Blessings to all!!!
