Summary: Thank, you God...
Review: ...For Your Conversations with Neale Donald Walsh! You got our attention and we heard Your message loud and clear. This book has become a mini-bible for me with truths and wisdom that I can reach out and grab a hold of and bring it into my daily life. I 'happened' on CWG at an airport bookstore and as I began to read it, my life started moving in a new direction. I took this book everywhere with me until I finished it. I could barely put it down. God explains to us secrets of life, death and the universe in simple terms. This is a most fascinating dialogue. I ordered and read Books 2 and 3 and plan to read them all again many times.

Summary: Absolute Nonsense
Review: A silly, hucksterish collection of nonsense. A lot of tautologies, rainbows and unicorns. The one thing I do believe is that this guy was in marketing before he wrote this New Age claptrap. I'm throwing it in the trash, a better ending than it deserves.

Summary: The real God?
Review: Whether you believe him or not, Neale Donald Walsch has provided a fascinating look into the mind of God. While not encompassing the entire nature, "Conversations With God: An Uncommon Dialogue" (CWG) contains powerful religious, spiritual, philosophical and common sense virtues we should all consider.

Without a doubt, CWG Book 1 provides powerful statements that may come into conflict with traditional Judeo-Christian doctrine. While assigning God as omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient, Neale Donald Walsch also discovers a nature of God some do not generally accept: That God neither cares nor wants us to obey his will.

CWG Book 1 sets a powerful tone for the rest of the series that few books have yet matched.

Summary: But will it play in Peoria...?
Review: In readining Conversations With God book one, and reading the reviews written by others, I tend to agree with the comment regarding circular thinking.I also worry about readers saying things like "it must be true, how could any one person come up with all of this.." Read L Ron Hubbard or Isamov,Verne, etc. to see how a highly creative person COULD come up with all of this. I do feel the actual philosophical message refreshing...and am reading book two and plan to read book three. One issue, however continues to bother me. Why would God only be speaking to Americans here, in the English language. Much of the "play on words" that Walsch uses (or that God uses)would not translate into another language. So...how does the Walsh trilogy apply to other nations, cultures, etc....? I can't wait to see what some of the other readers comments are--thanks!

Summary: Excellent Book!
Review: I was amazed at how I came to find this book. I had never heard of it, yet when I went into the bookstore to look for a good book, this book literally dropped at my feet. When I picked it up and put it back on the shelf, it dropped again at my feet. God was definetly trying to tell me something. When I finally read the book, I was overwhelmed with the message. It has enlightened me and helped me to seek out a true relationship with God. I have read other reviews on this website, and the negative reviews sadden me. If people would read the book, more than once if necessary, they would see that the message of the book isn't that far from the Bible. The message within CWG is complete love and trust and faith in God. This is precisly the message in the Bible. God speaks to all of us. It may not be through acutal words, but he speaks to all of us by our feelings and our thoughts. It's a shame for anyone to miss that message.

Summary: Something to think about...
Review: I agree that the Conversations With God Book series certainly gives one important issuesto think about. I appreciate the blend of popular religious ideas, and then too, the simplicity of the main content. I do, however, want the readers to be aware of a situation that these books remind me of. Several years ago now a new approach was discovered in working with children with autism. It was called "facilitative communication". In this technique, the "facilitator" gently supported the wrist of the autistic child, and helped or "facilitated" the child's typing at a computer. The idea was that the child did not have the motor control to type, thus with a liilt help....Well, the nation was taken by storm! Suddenly autistic children were able to write and express their deepenst thoughts! This was all disproven in scientific studies, years later. Of course it was the "facilitators" writing--even though they really believed it to be the children. So, the human will is very strong. These teachers wanted so much to beleve that the students were really able to express and to communicate, that they made it happen without knowing it.

Summary: What everyone thinks about, but is afraid to discuss.
Review: It's pretty hard to talk about something that has the abilityto change your life. Read the book. It's the best $( ) you'll everspend, absolutely guaranteed. If you don't like it, so what? You spent as much as you would have on a decent dinner at a restaurant. I read this book, and within several months I had moved out of the state where I was living, gotten engaged to my long-term girlfriend, and found the best job of my life (so far). Do I credit this book for these changes? No. Do I credit my changed outlook on life as a result of reading and understanding the concepts in this book? Absolutely! Do yourself a favor, every one of my friends has, and every one of them has thanked me for it.

Summary: This book clearly spells out how insignificant we are!
Review: I found this book told me what "I already knew "however my limiting belief systems "protected" me from the power that god gives to anybody who chooses to belief in unconditional love, joy and truth.....I believe this book contains new liberating ideas about the universe which could change a cynical and "undeveloped 'world into a place where THE truth becomes possible. As Neil states don,t take the writing as the truth rather consider creating new possibilities which opens your "cerebal world" to what you already "know" when you let yourself go to to that special place where you really remember...how to remember. I will bring up my children to focus on what the universal truth(god)discribes as the three great truths in life Joy.......Love ......Truth What more is there to say......Read and consider what would be possible in your life if neils god came and spoke to you.......... (On the subject of Neils financial success of his books I got $1,000,000 value and hope he writes a book about the "money story". Why do the religions of the world keep this a secret...........God knows? Thanks neil.... mate

Summary: If you're ready for the truth, read this book.
Review: I would have never picked up this book if it wasn't for a friend of mine. I will forever be grateful to this friend. I admit I was skeptical when I read that the author honestly thought that he had spoken with God. But as you read a few pages into it, you realize that no one could make this stuff up. God says we'll find a lot in the book too good to be true, but I am a firm believer that it is indeed true. I have argued the fact for many years that what kind of God would send the creatures he created to a place called hell? Not the kind that I would want to know. You must have an open mind and be ready to think. I rarely say a book has changed my life, but CWG definitely has!

Summary: Great Book that drives an amateur into the spritual world
Review: A great book to read. I was never a spiritual reader until I came across this book. The conversation Neale had with God was absolutely perfect. Personally speaking I do not think it is he who wrote the book because words as clear as in this book could only come directly from God and no one else. A must read book for all those who have a huge list of questions to ask from God
