Rating: Summary: A Good Place To Start Review: This book is for people who want a different perspective on life. It's for people who have enjoyed books by Stuart Wilde, Edgar Cayce, Seth Books, Kyron Books... There are other authors such as Napoleon Hill and US Anderson who were early pioneers in this line of thinking. If you enjoyed their writings and want to advance your thinking then this book is a great place to look deeper into the secrets of the Universe and life. There is another book like no other book I have personally read before. It is a cross between this book & Edgar Cayce's work. It is called "The Book of Thomas," by Daniel Aber and Gabreael it allows the reader to question the most fundamental pillars of our belief systems and how they have affected us, as well as what roads we will cross on this journey called life. In this book the building blocks of modern civilization as a whole are brought to question, to take a serious look at the direction we are taking. It then gives us vision and knowledge that we have options. It is like no other work I have ever read before. It covered everything from our personal relationship with God to Heaven & Hell. It gave me much to think upon ..... Much to ponder upon........
Rating: Summary: I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of The Living God Review: This book was written by a false prophet. Once you understand that it becomes nothing more than an interesting viewpoint of the universe.
Rating: Summary: Interesting... Review: This book details what the author claims are communications that have been made to him by God. If that were not interesting enough, he then goes on to attempt to debunk most claims of virtually all major religions. There are some useful parts of the book, but I could not get past the feeling that the book is a New Age assault on organized religion. Regardless, it is an interesting read, but be sure to keep an open mind!
Rating: Summary: Finally someone gets it Review: Although I don't think Walsh really talked to God, Walsh did a great job describing his philosophy and relationship with his version of God. I was on board with 75% of it. I think this would be a much more popular book if he dumbed it down so the average Joe could get it instead of just the ivory tower crew. I fell asleep several times trying to figure out the esoteric cerebrial passages. Several of my friends bought it too and stopped after the first couple chapters. It got better towards the end. dreez
Rating: Summary: An interesting read Review: This is a very interesting book, written by a man who is obviously very close to God, i.e. a good "filter". Love is the nature of our Source, and love is the purpose of our lives. That's Good News indeed. Praise the Lord!
Rating: Summary: I'M NOT AFRAID OF GOD ANYMORE! Review: ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT THIS BOOK CHANGED MY LIFE!! WE ARE ALWAYS TOLD TO "FEAR GOD" AND UNTIL I READ THIS BOOK, I KIND OF DID. NOW, THANKS TO NEALE, I TALK TO GOD DAILY AS A LOVING FRIEND WHO LOVES ME..NO MATTER WHAT I DO! NOT THAT I FEEL I CAN JUST GO OUT AND STEAL, OR KILL, OR DO BAD THINGS WITHOUT CONSIQUENSE, BUT THE THINGS THAT I DO CHOOSE TO DO, WILL HAVE OUTCOMES THAT ARE IN CONJUNCTION WITH WHAT I'VE DONE. FOR INSTANCE, TOO MUCH ALCOHOL WILL PROBABLY EFFECT MY LIVER, BUT GOD DOESN'T HAVE TO "PUNISH" ME, THE RESULTS OF MY ACTIONS WILL DO THAT. I HAVE READ BOOK ONE OVER 4 TIMES, AND HAVE READ BOOKS 2&3 ALSO. I LOVE THE RELATIONSHIP I NOW HAVE WITH GOD, AND FEEL THAT THE TEACHINGS IN THIS BOOK ARE ONLY ABOUT ONE THING..LOVE. WHICH IS WHAT GOD IS. THANK YOU NEALE, I HOPE MANY PEOPLE ARE ABLE TO BEFRIEND GOD FROM YOUR WRITINGS AS I HAVE AND IT BRINGS PEACE TO THEIR LIVES AS IT HAS MINE.
Rating: Summary: The Way the Truth and the Life Review: I guess Christians don't have a good rep these days according to the reviews I just read regarding this book. I am a follower of Jesus Christ and ,contrary to the belief of others, have actually explored many religions prior to giving my life over to God. I don't actually consider myself religious. That is a man made thing that inevidently has flaws. However I have a relationship that doesn't require rules or regulations to be followed, only that I be myself and let the One who made me love me. It is also commanded that we love one another and live in peace. It seems that is the goal of everyone reading this book and I don't blame anyone for a need to connect with a higher power. That is how we were designed! It is unfortunate, though, that hate plants so many seeds in our hearts, with Christians and non-Christians alike. I want to apologize on behalf of Christ followers around the world if you have ever felt criticized or critiqued by us. If you were ever condemned or felt "less than." We are all sinners and terribly broken people, though, and will never be perfect no matter what we believe in. Grace is what saves us. I encourage those who reviewed the book who apparently have major problems with Christians to talk to a believer about your concerns or problems instead of generalizing about all of us. I also want to clarify that Jesus said " I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father but through me," John 14:6. Please understand He is the only way. If you dont believe this than Jesus was a Liar or just plain crazy. And, yes,"all things are possible", but the author, Paul, who wrote this was clearly speaking of Jesus. Remember to read the Bible in the right context if you are going to quote biblical scripture. If you could only truly give Jesus Christ a chance you would have the peace, joy, love, and understanding you all seek. I found it after years of drug addictions. How can scientists explain that? I never went to a recovery program my whole life. God loves you and if you ignore everything I wrote please don't forget that. You will never be able to comprehend his love for you. I am sure I will upset people for daring to speak of Jesus because no one wants to be preached to. I am simply spreading the "Good News" and God spoke to me asking me to share that.
Rating: Summary: God said "Let there be Lunkheads" and he saw it was good! Review: This review will probably never be read so I just want to say how awesome it is to read so many contrasting opinions of this work. Does it impact you? It moves some to express Joy and some to bitter denunciation. How cool is that? Let me end my never-to-be-read review with the following bumper sticker quote.... GOD WAS MY CO-PILOT, BUT WE CRASHED IN THE MOUNTAINS AND I HAD TO EAT HIM! PEACE to ALL, even the very scared!
Rating: Summary: I AM NOT A CHRISTIAN- AM I GOING TO HELL? Review: First of all -i like this book. It basically teaches us that to be Spiritual the major criteria is to serve humanity ,love all people and animals, be generous ,trust in your own inner wisdom ,show kindness ,dont take life too seriously and have fun. I am not a christian ,but I live my life in service to all people and my life has been a beautiful experience so far!I dont understand why christians are so serious! People who understand the true nature of reality ,those whom some traditions call enlightened ,lose all sense of fear and concern .All worry disappears. Mundane things just dont bother them anymore .They become lighthearted and full of joy.I try to live my life happily and give love and joy as often as I can . Does that mean I will still go to "hell ",just because I am not a christian ? I dont think so !! What is hell anyway ? . An imaginary bad place where bad people go.Very childish and outdated. Am I scared of the devil ?(the boogywoogy man!!).NO.Am I scared of being punished by Jesus for not reading his best-seller .NO. I dont see how I can go wrong!!!Lighten up and live life in joy and service and dont let people who live in fear try to scare you with outdated theorys. PEACE TO ALL!!!.
Rating: Summary: Find Your Own Truth Review: I have read several reviews of this book and they are just as diverse as we, human beings, are. I have read this book twice. Some very interesting concepts. I find the content of this book to be very thought provoking. I have found it a stepping stone as I seek to find my own truth. This book has helped me move from believing in a God who loves me but expects certains things from me, to "KNOWING" a God who loves "unconditionally". It has brought me closer to understanding, "Made in the image and likeness of God". So seek your own truth, not someone elses.
