Summary: Ha ha ha ha ha ha haaaaaaaahaaaaaaa!
Review: I talk to God everyday too but he never has answered me audibly of as such. My prayers get answered in the traditional mysterious way. But I can't accuse Neale for being dishonest, nor could I accuse him of being hit in the head. If God talked to him then I'm showing the 5 star respect. No, I really enjoyed this, and think many have and will.

I must highly recommend reading Karl Mark Maddox Book SB 1 or God

Summary: THIS IS IT, Baby!
Review: The whole series of Conversations with God from Book 1 to Friendship with God to Communion with God, is the clearest understanding of the Truth I have ever found! Conversations is not the truth, it is a guide book to the truth. It says the new gospel is, " my religion is not better than yours, it's just different. I'm here to help you and you're here to help me."

My father was a preacher(Church of Christ), I joined the Moonies when I was 19 and followed Rev. Moon for 11 years. I have been in the 12 Step Programs for 11 years and most of the last 8 years, I have attended a spirit-filled non-denominational church. CWG has brought me to the next level of my path! All the questions you ever asked are answered here. "Why am I here? Why does God let bad things happen? Is there a devil? Will I really go to hell forever if I don't do what God wants me to do?" You Gotta read it!

Love and light,
Johnny Rose

Summary: BUCKLE YOUR SEATBELTS!!!!
Review: If ever there were a way to develop a truly personal relationship with Divinity, this is it! In Conversations With God, Book 1, the reader gets a chance to 'hear' God explain our purpose in life on a very personal and touching level. The first 50 pages of this book changed my entire view of spirituality and religion! My life will never be the same! I can't stress the importance of this writing and the effects it will have on anyone who reads it!

If you are tired of your life the way it is, you can improve it in all areas using simple concepts that are written in this book. These concepts are sure to change your life! Are you ready????

Summary: Sublime to Ridiculous
Review: Walsch's conversation with God starts promisingly enough with an exposition of the proposition that each of us is an instance of the godhead manifesting itself as finite limited creature in order to experience His (Her, Its) essential infinite Self. He does a fair job of analyzing the principles of orthodox theistic religion. However, near the middle of the book, his discourse starts degenerating into another trite paean to the power of positive thinking. He follows this with gentle admonitions against drinking, smoking, anger, and eating meat. At the end he has descended into full blown woo woo New Ageism complete with reincarnation, old souls, psychic powers, alien speculations, and the astounding assertion that the human body was designed to last forever. The one good idea that Walsch espouses, the underlying identity of God and his creation, has received a vastly superior treatment by the great popular philosopher and theologan, Alan Watts. Watts' two essential books "Beyond Theology - The Art of Godmanship" and "The Book - On the Taboo Against Knowing Who You Really Are" provide a much more compelling argument for the central premise of "Conversations With God..." without the paranormal and happy think nonsense. I suspect that Walsch got his only good insights from reading Watts (whom he does not acknowledge) and attached the rest of the New Age gobbledygook to cash in on current trends in popular spiritualism. Two stars for the writing which is amusing if not convincing.

Summary: Thrilling and life-changing!!!
Review: I simply love it! This and book 2 and 3, plus Friendship and Communion with God, are absolutely fabulous. If there is one book only that you will buy this whole year or the next, your best bet is CWG book 1. It will open the doors to a whole new life! My only suggestion is this: there are places where you cannot understand it by thought. In those places, simply suspend your criticism and judgement for a moment, accept what is in the book and try to feel the knowledge. Yes, it sounds strange, but it works very well. The reason it works is that it shuts own your filters in your brain, which are made up of your past conditioning, and allows you to feel the new without having to pass it through your past conditioning. This is what got me through much of this book because I realised there was no way i was going to be able to reason profound new knowledge using old thoughts. Anyway, enjoy! It is a fantastic book!

Summary: Ho Hum
Review: Why did this book not blow me off my feet? I already follow many of the ideas that the book attempts to succinctly explain. I do have discrepancies with the explanations Neal presents, yet ultimately the book tells one that one can be what one wants to be and create the life that one wants to create. Don't expect to be given anything on a plate.

Take ownership of your own life and live positively. It may challenge many of your beliefs, but why not?

Summary: New Age - Christians beware!
Review: I really feel it my duty to warn God-fearing, Christ serving and Spirit filled Christians about the true nature of this book.

The books contains a lot of contemporary wisdom that really makes sense. But it also proposes that the Word of God (the Bible) is out of date, and not at all relevant anymore. Also, that the devil (Satan) is a figment of our imagination, and that Jesus was equal to Mohammed and some of the other prohpets. In fact, you will not find the word Christ in this book. Basically the author denies that Jesus Christ is the only Son of God, sent as the ONLY way to salvation.

Eventually, the theory is very subtly put that you are God on the inside - what a load of rubbish!

I picked up the book on the way out of the bookshop, and decided to buy it because it looked like a good book to read. Let me warn you that the title is utterly misleading, and I very much doubt whether the author ever had a real life relationship with God, never mind a life changing encounter, like he claims he had.

I do not whish to attack the author - he probably does not even know what the REAL truth is. I was willing to give him a change, and read his book. The fact is that any Christian filled with the Holy Spirit and under its guidance, will realize within the first chapter that someting is seriously amiss with the message of this book.

So, Christians beware - all is not what it appears to be!

Summary: Spirituality replaces antiquated religion dogma
Review: Three powerful books, coming from authors with entirely different backgrounds , An Encounter With A Prophet, Conversations With God and A New Christianity for a New World, are providing us a way to give up our antiquated concepts of God - concepts emitting only a small amount of light - and find a God big enough to solve our growing problems.

If you choose not to listen, so be it. Stay in the dim and distant past. But, if you are courageous enough to look beyond religious dogma and hear the voice of God coming through our contemporaries , few indeed have listened to their contemporaries regarding new revelations, you will discover for yourself the meaning of the phrase "The Truth will set you free."

It is your choice - freedom or bondage.
