Review: I think its funny that people are calling this a book, as otherbooks for sale ... . The course is not a book, its the way home. If it doesn't make sense to you that's because your not ready to hear the message it offers. Don't confuse the course with Marianne Williamson or any other author that is a student of the course. It is not the same. Those books may help you find temporary relief, the course will give you permenant peace. Remember, the message of the course is very threatening to the thought system we all live with. Give it time, it will change your life for ever!

Summary: A Course In Miracles: More than just a book.
Review: This book was absolutely life altering for me. The minute I started reading it, it seemed as though it was written just for me. This book came to me at a time in my life when I was experiencing great turmoil. It seemed that everything I had worked for and believed in was falling apart. Then "A Course in Miracles" came along and taught me through the text and the lessons a different way to look at and experience life. The Course is an experiential guide. It has to be used to experience it's value and life changing properties. The Course itself says that there are many paths, and it is one of many. That is part of the beauty of the Course. One of the many important aspects of the teaching in the Course is it's focus on relationships. All of my relationships have changed dramatically since studying the Course. I have been a student for 6 years. I am also much more effective in all of my day to day dealings. I don't retreat from the world. I have to deal with the world. It encourages you to deal with what is in front of you as part of spiritual growth and attainment of peace.

Review: This book gives you a different way to view God, sin and sacrifice If you would like to feel some peace of mind and shedsome guilt I would recommed reading this book. I would also highly recommed the book An Encounter With A Prophet

Summary: Genuine spiritual wisdom that differs from New Age dogma
Review: Even though I'm not a fully practicing ACIM student, I still wholeheartedly recommend this path to those who can withstand a heavy challenge! This set of books get straight to the point of all that has been taught in every major spiritual path: that love is all there is! However, one cannot really grasp ACIM by studying it as if it were an intellectual pursuit. You will have to *experience* the message and feel it deep within your heart.

The most refreshing thing about ACIM is its difference from the New Age dogma that is taught in many spiritual circles. There seems to be a great deal of obsession in Western society with creating God in our own image instead of the converse. There is lots of talk within New Age circles about psychic powers, ETs and UFOs, the duality of creation, male and female energies, angelic hierarchies and kingdoms, differences between soul rays, and the tribalism of soul groups.

ACIM cuts right through all the complicated thought systems of the ego that have, in part, been generated by traditional religions and the New Age. It gets straight to the point by reminding us of our essential unity and oneness. The beauty of this message is the love and compassion that God has for all of us, and that all of us equally have the potential to be compassionate to others as well.

Summary: A Time Perspective
Review: My last review of this book was May of 1999. I have picked this book up and set it down many times in the last 8 years. One thing you will discover over time is that your life makes a major shift when you get into the daily exercises. I feel that if you are not kicking and screaming about everything you thought was your life - you are not applying what you are reading. To me this book has been an absolute B**CH. It has ruined what used to be my life. And, I would not trade the agony for anything. I am more human now. I would rarely cry. Now I can cry if I need to. I do not subscribe to that belief that the outcome of "truth or enlightnment" is pure happiness or joy. When you get older you will realize that the deeper your sorrows the deeper your capacity for joys. That is the way life works. All these books about avoiding pain. You will come to know pain through this book, and she will be loved. More importantly you will come to know your own heart, and that will hurt. Maybe one day, you will come to know and love You. But first I think you gotta know how much you really hate you. And that you will see too. And there isn't one book folks, you'll read many. My hats off to anyone courageous enough to sink their heart into this book.

Review: Recently, I noticed, A COURSE IN MIRACLES was represented at the U.N.Millenium Peace Summit,it was seen by over 100 spiritual leaders from around the world.....Now I see that A COURSE IN MIRACLES is under litergation as to whether or not Jesus is the Author....All I know is that I have had an experience that went beyond ALL my concepts......That to me is A COURSE IN MIRACLES!

Summary: A life's work.
Review: To truly learn what this book has to say is to realize that all the ideas we hold about the world are not true. This book is very demanding, but very rewarding for those who have the patience. This book is not a "quick fix" to personal problems. And it is not a book you can quickly read throught; to be a student of the Course is really a life's work.

A Course in Miracles teaches that God is non-dual, meaning He did not create the physical world or anything in it. God knows only eternal love, and nothing of pain. God created only our minds, which are Holy. However, we chose to engage in the hallucinations which led to the belief in this world. The Course teaches that the closest we can come to realizing God in this world is to practice forgiveness. Forgiveness is as close as we can get to Heaven. From the vantage point of complete forgiveness, God takes our hand and makes the final step with us back into our true Home.

Review: How do I give enough emphasis to "change my life"? I have studied the Course daily for almost 20 years, and it is the centerpiece of my journey. When I read other books, they are filtered through 'Course' teachings and understandings. This is three books in one that constitute a pathway, a map, a Way to understand one's Spiritual path and other information that a seeker is required to learn and contemplate. There are parts of this volume that I recite aloud at least once every day, and its teachings have woven themselves into who I have become. I suppose you have gathered by now that I really do recommend this book if you are looking for a way to find your Way.
