Summary: An inspirational book about the journey of life
Review: Paulo Coehlo is an excellent author who takes his readers on a spiritual journey. This book makes you feel better about yourself and the possibilities before you. It shows you that no mountain is too tall to climb, no obstacle to difficult to surmount. Read it if you want to live better.

Summary: it is more than just a fiction
Review: Personal Legend to which Paulo refers to is "Self-actualisation". One have this dream right in his childhood. But due to lack of words and expression he/she does not know exactly what it is. Also does not know how to get it. Sheep, Fatima, crystal glass, gold are the distractors one come across on their way to their dream. We might find opportunities or "omen" hinting us to go for the goal. But sometimes distractors are so strong that they blind us. We see alchemist in our life, but we fail to recognize them.

Summary: A truly moving and inspirational gift from Mr. Coelho
Review: Brasillian born Paulo Coelho has endowed us all with this story of the young Santiago, the spanish shepard boy, who after a few mishaps and chance meetings, found his path. This book shows us all that things are not always what they appear to be, but often the opposite of the apparent. This book is by far the most inspirational novel that i have read, in that it gives the hope that life is never what it seems, there is always something beyond, a higher power. My highest recommendations to anyone, regardless of age, sex, or religion. In my opinion, Mr. Coelho has immortalized himself in this novel.

Summary: Fantastic book - everyone should read
Review: I enjoyed the book from cover to cover and I am now starting to read his next book the Fifth Mountain. It gets you in focus and shows you how to follow your dreams. I will read it several times, I'm sure. I have purchased it for friends and family!

Summary: Real substance in age of hype
Review: For all those who never read Voltaire, Rand and other educated commentators on the human condition, and most likely never will, this little book does more than all the others combined in delivering the most profound wisdom of all: LIFE IS WORTH LIVING. When you will be done reading it, you will be amazed to admit that this message resides in you, not intellectually, but rather intuitively. You will grateful for a gift you have been given without asking for it. Use that gift, it is really up to you. There is no need to understand, or to analyze. It is easy and natural as breathing. Just open up to goodness.

Summary: A world treasure!
Review: This book is a world treasure because it so simply and beautifully sums up metaphysics. I think it should be required "life reading." A refreshing change from all the "new age" titles that, while filled with long-winded theories, don't really say much.

Summary: The best I've read in a long time!
Review: I was hypnotized by the author's mastery and stly in delivering such important messages to the reader..

This book is about how one should appreciate life and one's existence, how one should make the best of his/her being by following his/her dream or calling in life.

This book comes with the message that there is no such thing as coincidence. Also, that one should take time to reflect and understand the simple things in life which could have very important impact on one's life

Summary: Follow your dream
Review: This book is amazing. It makes you want to go out and conquer the world. If you have a dream and are scared to follow it, this will give you confidence. If you don't know where your life is going, this may give you insight into what to do. It's easy to read, and you won't want to put it down.

Summary: The king's invisible clothes syndrome?
Review: After reading all the hype I ploughed through this undemanding little tale searching for the hidden depths. I left unsatisfied. Sorry folks but there is no profound wisdom here! There is a pleasant enough simple story, but let's not kid ourselves that the secret of life lies therein! Try Voltaire's Candide instead.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Read it once a year!
Review: This was a beautiful book - innocent, sweet and enlightening. Read it when you get lost in the shuffle of life and need some quiet time to listen to your soul.
